The second Roman Catholic president of the United States, Old Joe Biden, will not be present at the funeral of Pope Benedict XVI on Thursday. This is not because Biden would ever pass up an opportunity to flaunt the Catholic piety he so ostentatiously displays for political purposes but because he was rather pointedly not invited. Is the falsity and hypocrisy of Old Joe’s religious displays finally catching up with him?
On Tuesday, Karine Jean-Pierre fielded a question on the pope’s funeral, and characteristically bobbled it. “So let me just first say, ‘cause we haven’t been able to, uh, be on the record on this, uh, since the passing of the pope. So as the president said in his statement, as I’m sure you saw, he joins Catholics and so many others around the world in mourning the passing of Pope, uh —”
Here Jean-Pierre paused and gazed for a few moments at a word she had apparently never seen before and had no idea how to pronounce, “Emeritus,” which she pronounced “Emmer-itis,” as if it were some kind of disease. “—Emmer-itis, uh, Benedict the Sixteenth. He will always, uh, remember the pope’s generosity and me — meaningful conversation they had when he visited the Vatican in 2011. So, to answer your question, uh, the U.S. ambassador to the Holy See, Joe Donnelly, will, uh, represent the United States at the funeral of the pope, in line with the wishes of the late pope and the Vatican. This is what, uh, this is what their requests were, this is what their wishes were, uh, and so, uh, that’s what you’ll see from the U.S.”
Now, wait a minute. The Vatican expressly requested that Joe Donnelly be at the funeral? The Joe Donnelly? It’s much more likely that they expressly requested that Old Joe not be present, which is strange in light of Biden’s self-conscious and pretentious displays of his Catholicism. Jean-Pierre herself added: “You know, the president, uh, as you know, he takes, um, uh, his faith very seriously. Uh, this is someone who is, uh, passionate about his faith. That’s not something I even need to tell you. You know this, uh, for yourself.” Yes, Old Joe takes his faith so seriously that he moves heaven and earth to make sure that every baby that can be killed will be killed. Why, he’s a regular Saint Francis of Assisi.
On Wednesday, a reporter asked Biden himself why he wasn’t going to Pope Benedict XVI’s funeral. With his increasingly frequent dementia-borne testiness, Biden snapped, “Well, why do you think?” The reporter responded, “You tell me,” to which the ostensible president responded, “You know why.” Quixotically, the reporter persisted: “You can tell me, sir.” Then Biden said: “Uh, the reason I’m not going to the funeral tomorrow is because it would take an entourage of a thousand people to show up, not literally.”

There is a world of difference b/w Benedict and Francis. Ole Joe was totally out of sync w/ Benedict, and probably not just on abortion. But if Francis croaks, you can be sure that Ole Joe will be invited, assuming that he doesn’t croak first

I like Robert Spencer’s description of Biden’s “increasingly frequent dementia-borne testiness”. A very accurate description of the angry clown. I don’t know that much about Biden but is he a genuinely serious Christian of the Catholic variety? How does all that corruption with his scumbag of a son raking in the money fit in with being a decent Christian? Biden and son seem more like a couple of corrupt gangsters to me than anything else. Getting around sniffing young girls’ hair also falls short morally. Biden seems like a demented old man now, but he seems to me to be the type of person who always would have done anything and said anything that would advance his cause and would have no moral compass at all.

tim, biden is a liar. Lying and Christianity are polar opposites. Even if he didn’t favor baby killing, he’s a liar. He’s been lying since the beginning….in Law school even, which should have gotten him kicked to the curb and left him without any possibility of making laws for the rest of us to live by.

Yeah, I remember hearing about Biden lying about his law student days, somehistory. He does seem to be a person who would do anything and say anything if it would advance his career. He seems like a very shabby human being, a ruthless, corrupt person and certainly not a very good Christian at all, if that is what he actually is. He and his son seem like corrupt gangsters raking in money from all types of sources.

Jesus said that those who pretend to be obedient to Him and His Father are “wolves in sheep’s clothing” and “false prophets.” this applies to biden as it does to those who are like him and preach from the pulpit.
Jesus told John that these ones would be “thrown into the lake”….”Liars and those disgusting in their filth,” are thrown into the fire. Christians will not be, but will be “saved.”
Not judging, just observing as Jesus said we should. If one continues on a path of lies, destruction is what that one should expect….not salvation.

What proof do you have he Pope Benedict was a” Nazi” because he was a draft at 16 into the German army ? Benedict,s father refused to join the Nazi political party even though his father was a police man and it killed any promotions he could get .Both Benedict and his brother manned anti aircraft batteries in the middle of the war then were resigned to grave digging duty near the end of the war. Benedict was born in 1927 both he and his brother were on the road to becoming priests when the war started both were drafted as were millions of others .If you hate the Catholic church and the Popes and all they stand that is OK just be up front honest about it calling everyone you do not like or disagree with a Nazi is what many democrats and demented Joe does .

If I follow “lord Buddha” I guess I do not have to give examples of where I got my info or what it is go dig a hole yourself .I state the basic history he never worked the death camps, he was drafted at 16 man anti-aircraft guns then got a job digging graves for dead soldiers .Also he never join the party neither did his dad who was a police officer where joining could advance him greatly in that field .If you general hate Catholics or and hate Christians fine .from past post by you most people on this board know that .Calling a some a Nazi without sighting your sources or facts because you believe in “Lord Buddha’ in your words why should I believe you.
