There are also Islamic jihadis of all races. But Egemen Bağış knows how to pull Europeans’ strings. He claims that Turkey can help Europeans fix their “Islamophobia” problem, but what about Turkey itself? Have any non-Muslim groups there been “exposed to violence and intolerant behavior because of their religion”? Why, yes. In fact, the plight of non-Muslims in Turkey is far worse than that of Muslims in Europe, who have been welcomed and given every consideration.

Muslims in Europe are facing Islamophobia and racism, Türkiye’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic Egemen Bağış said on Thursday, underlining the rise of such trends across the globe.
Speaking at a conference hosted by the Czech Foreign Ministry in Prague, Bağış said that the fight against xenophobia and hate speech regarding ethnic origins and religions should be the main agenda item of international meetings in order to eliminate multidimensional problems.
“Muslims, who make up the majority of immigrant communities in most European countries, are currently the main target of this approach,” Bağış said, indicating that the real number of racist attacks is higher than stated in official documents as many do not report the mistreatment they face in everyday life.
“Racist and discriminatory practices in education and social life clearly trigger the tendency of immigrant communities to withdraw into themselves and hinder integration efforts.”…
Bağış said that new platforms should be established where victims can directly report negative acts such as hate speech, xenophobia and anti-Muslim attacks.
“I would like to state once again that Türkiye actively supports international efforts aimed at raising awareness for people who are exposed to violence and intolerant behavior because of their religion and worldview.”
Turkish officials have criticized their Western counterparts for remaining indifferent to anti-Muslim sentiment and fueling the ideology, while experts believe Türkiye can lead the fight against it. Türkiye has continuously called on world leaders to take action to stop the demonization of Muslims and has been taking action to tackle the growing problem….

I see things completely differently. An increase in hatred of islam, or islamophobia, is a very good thing because what it means is that more non-Muslims are, finally, waking up to islam’s evil and barbaric nature. And about bloody time. What amazes me is that it has taken so long for so many of the slow learners to wake up. As for Muslims, it amazes me that they seem to think that they can get away with the endless Muslim terrorist attacks, which are constantly happening, get away with the rape gangs, etc, and yet they, like this shithead, seem to think that people won’t begin to wake the hell up and hate islam and Muslims. The more islamophobia, deserved hatred of islam, the more people are no longer being fooled about islam’s nature. IT must have the Muslims worried. Maybe Muslims should change their behaviour or pack up and leave islam behind and join the civilised people of the world.

Well stated, tg, though I prefer to call it Islamonausea rather than Islamophobia since a phobia is an irrational fear and there is nothing irrational about being deeply skeptical of Islam. But being sickened by Islam, hence Islamonausea, is completely rational.

Yes, Wellington, islamonausea is a good term. Whenever I see the Muslims claiming, like the shithead in this report about the increase in islamophobia (oh, the horror) I do always think that the Muslims may be getting a bit concerned because, at last, more non-Muslims ware waking up. It truly amazes me how Muslims seem to think that they can go on committing atrocities (Terrorist attacks, etc,) and yet we are supposed to going on never waking up to the vile nature of islam. I have been somewhat flattened by Covid. Got it around 9 days ago, and, I guess because I am over 70 and have some health problems, got sicker than I expected I would. Got onto anti-virals and, if I had not done so, I think I might have been in serious trouble. Just did a test at home and I am still positive, though I think almost over it. It’s the first time I caught it, but it was somewhat worse than i expected it would be. It is coming into summer here, though colder than usual, so I am happy about that.

I got Covid this past January, tg, and was quite sick with it for about two weeks. But then about a month later, after I thought I was entirely finished with it, I got what is termed “long covid.” This was far worse—head cold feeling, tinnitus, muscle weakness, lung impairment, et al. It is only now over the past six weeks that I am rid of the first two and gradually (I think) getting rid of the last two. In brief, one way or another, I have been sick almost all of 2022. Be on your guard about long covid that appears weeks or even months after the regular infection is gone. It is most likely to appear in those over 65 (I’m 70) and remains something of a mystery even to medical personnel since it is so new. Very strange and quite debilitating. I hope you are spared.
And I would like to know why the in the Hell was America funding any biological research in China, let alone gain of function research? As for Anthony Fauci, I consider him not only a pathological liar, incompetent and narcissist, but very probably a monster as well, ditto for some of his “cohorts.” One thing is for sure and that is that the credibility of much of the medical community here in America (though not all of it) and elsewhere has been shreded for making so many mistakes—stupid lockdowns, idiotic social distancing, closing down schools but keeping nursing homes open when it should have been the other way around, slave masks which were worthless, etc. In any case, hope you recover soon and most certainly hope you don’t get long covid later on. Thanks for the information and the well wishes, Wellington. I’m sorry to hear that you got hit hard by Covid and have also been afflicted by long Covid. There has been a fair amount of publicity about that long version of Covid out here. I hope I don’t get that. I do seem to be on the mend now. I think getting the anti-viral drugs helped me deal with Covid. I feel quite tired but otherwise pretty well now. On the Americans being involved with that laboratory in China, I couldn’t understand that either. I read something about it which seemed to say that American scientists would be involved because they were trying to make sure that the Chinese operation of the lab was not too slack and dangerous. I am a fierce enemy of everything about that regime that runs China, it is a massive danger to Australia in future times, so I would never help that regime with anything at all. I hope you do get over the long Covid problems. I’m 72 years old and Covid definitely was a bit worse than I expected it to be, so it does seem to hammer older people who already have some health problems, in my case mainly some heart problems, clogged up arteries.

Here in Australia, I heard a report on the radio this morning which mentioned a crisis in El Paso where they are expecting a huge increase in numbers coming across the border soon. It was something to do with some regulation put in place by Trump that is coming to an end.

The demonym for a resident of Turkey is, in English, “Turk”. This is one of the few demonyms that are shorter than the name of the country. Others are “Uzbek” for Uzbekistan, and “Dane” for Denmark. Are there any more?

Good question, but Turkey recently officially changed its name to what it’s called in Turkish. It’s like Burma changing its name to Myanmar before Ahn San Su Kyi announced that either name is okay. Like RS explained in the weekly video he does w/ David Wood, they apparently got tired of all the ? jokes, so decided that from now on, ?? will be referred to as ‘Türkiye’
As you said, it’s like calling Germany Deutschland or Spain Espana. I’ve seen a lot of countries change the name of their cities, or even their own names, from what it’s called in English to what it’s called in their native languages, and not a big fan of that. I’m all for changing the name of places if the original name has an oppressive reminder. Like India changing the names of several muslim named places to what it was when Hindu e.g. Allahabad to Prayagraj and so on
As for shorter denonyms, the -stans have it – in addition to Uzbeks that you mentioned, there are Kazakhs, Azeris, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Afghans, Tajiks and… you could say ‘Pakis’, but the Pakis would be offended, and want the entire name ‘Pakistani’ used. Then there is German for Germany, Swedes, Finns, Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, Slovaks… Can’t think of more at the top of my head
While on the subject of names, why is Czech Republic called Czechia? Why not call it Bohemia, like it was in the 16th century?

There is a very simple solution to mass Islamic immigration, and one that the authorities are, albeit inadvertently, applying. We know, because we have been told, that the Covid jab is an excellent product with rare and minimal side effects. And who more deserving of the immunity that it is supposed to confer, than those who have been through hell and high water to get to Western countries and share their insights with us all?
BTW one of the reasons I voted to Brexit was that Turkish membership of the EU had been mooted.
