Which party will control the House after the 2022 midterm elections is still unclear, but the longer this vote-counting, or whatever is being done, drags on, the more likely it is that the Democrats will retain control. Whether the Evil Party is in the majority or the minority in the House, however, it’s looking increasingly likely that Nancy Pelosi (D-Ketel One) will continue to be its leader. On Sunday, she held out the prospect of inflicting her addled, unctuous, and Machiavellian presence upon us for yet another two years.
Newsmax reported that Pelosi “stayed mum Sunday on her future plans but said congressional colleagues are urging her to seek another term as Democratic leader following a strong showing in the midterm elections.” Given Pelosi’s ardent love for “our democracy,” she may just have to accede to the popular will and stick around.
Pelosi said happily that the Democrats’ chances of winning the House again are “still alive,” and that she will make her final decision about whether to return as the House Democrat leader soon. “People are campaigning and that’s a beautiful thing,” said Pelosi with her usual eloquence. “And I’m not asking anyone for anything. My members are asking me to consider doing that. But, again, let’s just get through the (midterm) election. A great deal is at stake, because we will be in a presidential election.” Yes, and after that, there will be another midterm election, and then another presidential election. Pelosi may never find it convenient to retire to enjoy her gourmet ice cream freezer at all. After all, she is only 82, which for Democrat corruptocrats these days is the very bloom of youth.
Pelosi said that she was “disappointed” that some Democrat Congressional candidates had lost but added. “Nonetheless, we still think we have a chance to win this. Nobody would have ever expected that we would be this close. Well, we expected it.” She continued, “Who would have thought two months ago that this red wave would turn into a little tiny trickle, if that at all? But we never believed that. We believed.”
Unfortunately, she wasn’t asked why the Democrats expected this. Do House Democrats know something we don’t? Beyond the House, Old Joe Biden himself expressed similar confidence going into the midterms, even as all the polls were against the Democrats. When the elections finally came, the Republicans won millions more votes than the Democrats did, but this didn’t translate into seats in the House or the Senate. Were Pelosi and Biden confident that the gerrymandering and mail-in ballots would turn the results their way no matter what?

Problem is that the majority now rests w/ whatever happens in the outstanding house races in California, meaning that the chances are likely that late mail-in votes will turn this election for the Dems. So Nancy or whoever will continue to be the Speaker, w/ all that that entails
I do hope there is a revolt in the Senate GOP, regardless of when they decide to hold the leadership vote. This potential win was averted by McConnell, who thought it more sensible to put money on Murkowski against Tshibaka than back Masters against Kelly or Bolduc against Maggie Hassan. It’s high time he was shown the door

Okay, update on what I wrote: the GOP did finally manage to win the House – a silver lining in an otherwise disappointing week, w/ the defeats of Kari Lake, Blake Masters and Adam Laxalt just behind us. Also tomorrow, Rick Scott will be challenging Mitch McConnell for the Senate leadership, and I hope against hope that it goes his way

I’ve always rejected the claims that we had bi-loyalty citizens who were working toward international governing and control of everything. I can’t reject them any longer.

They would give away the nation’s sovereignty for a mess of “free” pottage.
History provides a template of what to expect at the national level. The new unknowns concern the fallout of one-world government. Observing the EU suggests that it might involve the threats of force, very little representation, and an unaccountable, “leadership”. And it all started, voluntarily.
The new generations are being groomed as hedonists, sexual experimenters, vulgar expressionists, and dependents. The large cities have passed below the threshold of decency, as happened in the 1920s. Short of the sobriety of another world war, can it be reversed?

I don’t understand why all these old farts hang around forever in US politics. Pelosi, at 81 years of age, and Biden, at close to 80, are examples of people who must be addicted to power. It can’t be the money they earn. Both surely must be rolling in money. I’m sure that they are both not up to the demands of the job. I think Trump should also bugger off and let DeSantis, or some younger person, run for the Republicans. There must be something missing in Pelosi and Biden’s lives if they can’t think of some pleasant activities to spend their old age doing rather than clinging to power. “Get a life” comes to mind for these old geezers.

Nancy Pelosi and other scheming insidious government manipulators like her do have a very strong staying power. Their ability to hold on and make a horrible influence in current times is very strong and enduring.
To illustrate there staying power and negative effect on people may fittingly compared to the coronavirus which also has strong staying power and negative effect on people.
The mayor difference is that Nancy Pelosi and her high power comrade influencers are very political and in contrast COVID -19 is not, at all. political.
