New in PJ Media:
In America today, we have a two-party system: the Stupid Party and the Evil Party. The Evil Party sets the agenda and pursues its aims relentlessly and ruthlessly; the Stupid Party registers a polite token opposition and then fully agrees to whatever the Evil Party wants, occasionally only arguing that it can implement the Evil Party’s program more effectively than the Evil Party itself. We saw this play out yet again Wednesday, when Stupid Party House Leader Kevin McCarthy (S-California) downplayed any talk of impeaching Old Joe Biden or any of his cronies if the Stupids retake the House in the midterm elections. McCarthy is still playing by rules that the Evil Party discarded long ago, and that’s why he and his fellow Stupid Party members keep losing.
McCarthy declared that Americans don’t “like impeachment used for political purposes at all,” and added that “the country wants to heal” and see a “system that actually works.” That means there will be no impeachment proceedings against Biden, or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary and former Disinformation Governance Board supreme overlord Alejandro Mayorkas, or Gestapo chief Merrick Garland. Leave billions of dollars worth of materiel in Afghanistan for our enemies to use against us? No problem! Open the Southern border so that untold numbers of criminals and terrorists can waltz right into the country? Hey, we all make mistakes. Sic the woke FBI against parents protesting at school board meetings against the far-Left agenda in public schools? We all can get carried away! Impeachment? Forget it. It wouldn’t be the decent thing to do.
When McCarthy was asked if he saw any grounds for impeaching any officials of this lawless and authoritarian administration, he answered: “I don’t see it before me right now. You watch what the Democrats did – they all came out and said they would impeach before Trump was ever sworn in. There wasn’t a purpose for it. If you spent all that time arguing against using impeachment for political purposes, you gotta be able to sustain exactly what you said.”
Well, sure. There shouldn’t be any impeachment for political purposes. The two impeachments the Democrats perpetrated against Trump were travesties of justice; the framers of the Constitution never intended impeachment to be used as a weapon against a political opponent. But McCarthy’s assumption that any impeachment proceedings that the Republicans bring if they win back the House in November would be politically motivated in the same way is unfounded. What if Biden, or Mayorkas, or Garland actually violated the law? What if they abused their power in persecuting “MAGA Republicans,” purveyors of alleged “disinformation,” and Jan. 6 “insurrectionists”? Could we get any impeachments then?

Jesse Ventura compared it the Bloods & the Crypts:”It’s an election year. I believe that the people need to be woken up to the fact that the Democrips and Rebloodlicans — the Democrips are blue, the Rebloodlicans are red, the same colors as the street gangs — these guys are worse. Street gangs don’t affect but a small portion of the population. ”
” I would like to put it in the context of pro wrestling. In front of us, they look like adversaries. Behind the scenes, they’re wheeling and dealing and going to dinners. They’re not divided. They know what they’re doing. They just want to keep their power bases and keep the status quo going.”

Robert Spencer writes,
“In America today, we have a two-party system: the Stupid Party and the Evil Party.”
…………………………………………………..
I agree with Mr. Spencer, we do have an evil party and a stupid party, however, the line between the two is becoming almost invisible. Or as John Loeffler, the host of the Radio program, Steel on Steel, likes to say, we have One party… Socialist Party D and Socialist Party R.
I also like Mr. Loeffler’s slogan, “Your failure to be informed does not make me a wacko!”
………………………………………..
Mr. Spencer continues.
“The Evil Party sets the agenda and pursues its aims relentlessly and ruthlessly; the Stupid Party registers a polite token opposition and then fully agrees to whatever the Evil Party wants, occasionally only arguing that it can implement the Evil Party’s program more effectively than the Evil Party itself.”
Also, true. It seems that this is partly due to the RINO effect, people who have deliberately infiltrated the Republican party so as to weaken it. In addition, there appears to be to a combination of ineptitude, people who exemplify the Peter Principle and those that have been compromised and rendered utterly useless. “Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.” (Lord Acton)
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV)

Mr. Spencer continues,
“Well, sure. There shouldn’t be any impeachment for political purposes. The two impeachments the Democrats perpetrated against Trump were travesties of justice; the framers of the Constitution never intended impeachment to be used as a weapon against a political opponent.”
That was obvious to any person with common sense.

I agree, “What if Biden, or Mayorkas, or Garland actually violated the law?” Of course, legal action should be taken, unfortunately, nothing will happen. It seems that the Democrats are Teflon coated, nothing sticks to them. They can do whatever they like…with impunity!

How about the politician who allegedly murdered the journalist who wrote about him? He *allegedly* murdered for political purposes. Using the mccarthy non-reasoning rational, he is being tried for political purposes.
biden, mayorkis, garland, harris, the fbi, have all done evil stuff…for political purposes. But seeing them, at the very least, lose their jobs for these evil actions, would not be the same; it would be for Justice and holding them accountable.
Suppose there is a company with two accountants working together and one of them is an embezzler.. the other one knows about the embezzling, has told the company CFO and the that person shrugged, “It’s no my money,” and the embezzler keeps on breaking the law. the accountant is warned about going to the police with his charges; warned that he’ll be fired.
The company has a shakeup, a new guy is made CFO and it’s the honest accountant. Does it make it political for him to call the cops?
Crimes, dereliction of duty, supporting criminals with bond money so they can walk and continue offending….may have been committed for political reasons; but prosecuting would be a measure of Justice.
I think Americans would like to see some of that. A wound can’t heal when it’s full of infection.

I agree with both Spencer and McCarthy.
We must not be dragged through further politically motivated impeachments.
But, if the Republicans take the house AND the senate next month, and fail to impeach those whose rime(s) meet appropriate thresholds–then they truly must be labeled the Stupid Party.

Kevin McCarthy is pathetic; he’s just a young version of Mitch McConnell. Jim Jordan would be a much better Speaker of the House should the Republicans take it back come November. As for the Senate if it comes under Republican control, my vote for Senate Majority Leader would be Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana or Senator Marsha Backburn of Tennessee. Mitch McConnell again as Senate Majority Leader will prove stultifying at best, disastrous at worst.
And I agree with Robert Spencer’s overall characterization of the major parties as Evil and Stupid, with the caveat that at least some in the Republican Party are not stupid but real fighters and shrewd. As for the Democratic Party, sorry, but’s it’s completely gone. There can no longer be any defense for a patriotic and informed American to remain a Democrat. Just recently, Tulsi Gabbard has shown the way by leaving this decrepit party which has become an enemy of America and the Constitution. The Democratic Party is now loathsome throughout.

Excellent – and accurate – post, Wellington.
My compliments.

Thank you, James.

If Senate Majority leader was up for grabs, my choice would be Tom Cotton of Arkansas or Josh Hawley of Missouri
Wellington says
Two other fine choices, Infidel.

I’m hoping that McCarthy loses his election and that Jim Jordan ends up as Speaker of the House
