Qatar is welcoming visitors to twenty-first century Sharia enforcement, while Western authorities continue to pacify Islamic supremacists. Those who plan on attending the FIFA World Cup in Qatar who have acquiesced to the constant erosion of freedom in the West by Islamic lobbies (Qatar is a key supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood) should have no problem downloading Qatar’s required spy apps. The two apps, Ehteraz and Hayya, “gain deep access into a user’s phone and have the ability to track user location as well as browsing history and app activity.” A Norwegian security expert warns:
When you download these two apps, you accept the terms stated in the contract, and those terms are very generous. You essentially hand over all the information in your phone. You give the people who control the apps the ability to read and change things, and tweak it. They also get the opportunity to retrieve information from other apps if they have the capacity to do so, and we believe they do.
Also, “the games in Qatar already caused a wave of fear among foreign visitors when fans were warned that unmarried couples could face arrest in the strict Muslim nation for having sex out of wedlock.”
Qatar to Require World Cup Visitors to Download Data-Tracking Spyware on Private Phones,” by Warner Todd Huston, Breitbart, October 21, 2022:
The nation of Qatar, hosts of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, has released a long list of heavy restrictions for visitors and the media ahead of next month’s games, including the downloading and installation of spyware on private phones so the government can track them.
According to Front Office Sports, the Qatari government is requiring visiting fans and game workers to download a pair of spyware apps to their phones that give the government access to their data.
Consequently, athletes, fans, and FIFA employees are being warned not to bother bringing their mobile devices to Qatar.

“It’s not my job to give travel advice, but personally, I would never bring my mobile phone on a visit to Qatar,” said NRK head of security Øyvind Vasaasen, Front Office added.
The apps, called Ehteraz and Hayya, have features that can disable settings put in by phone owners, can override previously installed software, and shares all data with the government….

I have no sympathy whatsoever for these people. Qatar is, after Irna the worst country in the ME.They should not be going there and aiding the economy. Whatever happens to them they
asked for it.

We made a mistake by mediating b/w them and the Saudis. President Trump had the right instincts by endorsing the Saudi position – that Qatar was backing the global jihad, but State & Pentagon were more worried about the base we have there
Aside from Iran, I’d even put Qatar below Turkey as the worst country in the region

It’s easy – as back-up, just buy a cheap ‘phone that is only a ‘phone, ie – that can only make/receive calls and texts – and put your SIM card into that.
There is no compulsion – (yet) – to carry an iPhone, which is 99.999% computer and 0.001% phone.
Better still – don’t visit barbaric back-waters: I would no more go to Qatar or Saudi Arabia, than I would go to China, Iran, or Nazi Germany,

They were only given the World Cup because of corruption in FIFA. Wait till leftist gay people visiting the games & holding hands start getting arrested. They will be wondering what is going on, their leftist MSM only had good things to say about Islam.
