Muslim men in India have decided to partake in the Garba celebrations whether or not Hindus allow it, triggering a heated debate. A few weeks ago, when Hindu bodies gained permission to hold Ganesh puja (a festival dedicated to the Hindu deity Ganesh) at the Eid Gah ground in Karnataka, the entire Muslim ecosystem, including politicians, journalists, authors, and celebrities from the entertainment world, had a massive meltdown. They accused the Hindus of capturing “their land”; here, it must be pointed out that this particular piece of land didn’t belong to any Muslim individual or board. The land’s ownership was with state government bodies, and the Hindus had procured the rights to hold their festivities. Still, the hue and cry about how Hindus were grabbing “Muslim land” continued for weeks. These people now demand entry into a Garba.
The Garba is a dance that worships and celebrates the Hindu deity, Durga. Men and women gather at established venues and start the occasion with a prayer. They then dance “around a centrally lit lamp or a picture or statue of the Goddess,” praising her might and grandeur. An important part of the Navratri celebration, the Garba has deep religious connotations and a rich cultural significance. What business does a good Islam-abiding man have in kaffir celebrations?
Interestingly, only Muslim men want to participate in Garba, citing the “cultural unity”; they never bring their women to these events. This lopsided “amalgamation” has already done a lot of damage to the Hindu gathering and its reputation. Muslim men have often snuck into the Garba events, created chaos, and harassed women. That is why many organizations holding the Garba have barred non-Hindus from entering the venue, and appointed guards to check every visitor’s ID before they are allowed entry.
Now, although the Islamic intelligentsia is crying victimhood and bigotry, there is more than enough data to justify the Hindu side’s decision. Muslim men have often been caught entering the Garba venue hiding their religious identity. Indore police arrested seven such Muslim men for filming Hindu girls. These videos could have made it to the dark web had they not been caught immediately. Hindu activists have explained that these men come to the Garba not to pray to the deities (of course), but to trap Hindu women into a relationship and replay their time-tested routine.
On Saturday, October 1, Shahrukh, Zubair, and Samir stabbed a Hindu boy named Madhusudan with a knife. In the incident reported from Bikaner, Rajasthan, the Hindu boy had tried to oppose the molestation of Hindu girls by these men, which led to an argument, and the trio reached for a knife and attacked Madhusudan. One of them was arrested immediately, while the other two successfully fled.
A large mob of Muslims attacked Hindus at a Garba event in Udhela village of Matar taluka of Kheda district of Gujarat on Monday, October 3. Nine people, including two cops, were injured in this attack.
Muslim mobs have also targeted the Garba celebrations in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. They assaulted the organizers with an axe and other sharp weapons, threw stones at participants, and injured several women devotees.
Further, the NIA has revealed that the Popular Front of India (PFI) plans to bomb various Hindu religious places during Navratri and Diwali. The members of the banned Islamic outfit hail from regular Muslim families, and it is impossible to identify them. Clearly, allowing these men an entry to the Garba would be suicidal for the Hindus.
When it comes to tolerance, this ilk is particularly infamous. They don’t want a Hindu procession to pass through the street where a mosque stands. They don’t just strongly object to the Hindu processing; they throw stones and petrol bombs at it. Men, women, and children – they all participate in this revelry. Their immense contribution to interfaith harmony lies in their saying, “Why lead Hindu processions through a Muslim area?” Such is the mindset of all too many Muslims in India.
Muslims with such views are of both genders and all ages. They thrive on hate and a sinister agenda of attacking and destroying anything that is religious but not Islamic. Their contempt for every Hindu festival, ritual, and deity has been in abundant evidence through the years. When the Hindus raised objections and took measures to stop Muslims from sneaking into these gatherings, they cried discrimination and bigotry and claimed that it was their constitutional right to enter these Hindu gatherings. The hypocrisy is jaw-dropping.

The idea of any religious place being open to non-believers is asinine! They are places of worship, not tourist spots, and the same goes for temporary makeshift pandals w/ statues of Goddess Durga and others. It’s worth noting that no other non-muslim community – Parsis, Jains, Jews, Buddhists, Sikhs, Christians – have ever made any trouble, and so they are never obstructed from participating. Muslims go there just to grope girls or to make MMS videos that they can use to blackmail them later. They need to be explicitly banned
