ANKARA, Oct 13 (Reuters) – Turkey’s parliament on Thursday adopted a law proposed by President Tayyip Erdogan that would jail journalists and social media users for up to three years for spreading “disinformation”, despite deep concerns over free speech….
The law’s Article 29 raised the most concerns over free expression. It says those who spread false information online about Turkey’s security to “create fear and disturb public order” will face a prison sentence of one to three years.
Critics have said there is no clear definition of “false or misleading information”, leaving the law open to abuse by courts they say have cracked down aggressively on open dissent in recent years in the country of some 85 million….
Erdogan’s AKP has said legislation was needed to tackle misinformation and false accusations on social media and would not silence opposition….

That’s the endgame for every Islamic state, a fascist totalitarian regime that takes away all your freedoms and throws you in jail or worse for simply disagreeing with their worldview. Ask the North Koreans, the Chinese and any Muslim…they’re just a man-made hell on Earth based on bad reasoning.
It just makes you appreciate the basic freedoms we have in the West all that much more and to realize it can all be taken away from you if evil people take power.
Imagine the terror that non-Muslims in Turkey feel right now, knowing they could say something truthful about Islam and Erdogan’s party and they’ll call it misinformation and destroy their lives.
The West needs to wake up and fight for freedom everywhere. By saving other countries and bringing them freedom, we’re really saving ourselves. Because if we do nothing and let those fascist open-air concentration camps grow around the world, eventually they’ll come for us.
If they can’t conquer us by military force, they’ll try to get nukes to wipe us out. Saudi Arabia and Turkey both have mentioned their desire to have nuclear weapons…that would be a terrible mistake.
