Just nine days after climate doom fanatics threw tomato soup onto Vincent Van Gogh’s famed Sunflowers painting in the National Gallery in London, the apocalyptically named Last Generation group has struck in a similar way, hurling mashed potatoes at Claude Monet’s Haystacks, which recently sold for $110 million, in the Museum Barberini in Potsdam, Germany, before they glued their hands to the wall and settled in for a long day of climate hectoring, mythology, propaganda, and sloganeering. It’s an annoying and stupid form of protest, but get used to it: there is going to be a lot more of it, and worse.
According to the Guardian on Sunday, one of the climate clowns explained after throwing the starchy treat at the Monet: “People are starving, people are freezing, people are dying.” Smart move: people are starving, so let’s have a food fight in an art museum. But of course, the climate activists wouldn’t be engaging in stunts of this kind if they were rational thinkers who could critically evaluate what they were told and reject the climate propaganda that has been irresponsibly pounded into them since they were toddlers.
“We are in a climate catastrophe,” the Last Generation cult member continued, “and all you are afraid of is tomato soup or mashed potatoes on a painting. You know what I’m afraid of? I’m afraid because science tells us that we won’t be able to feed our families in 2050. Does it take mashed potatoes on a painting to make you listen? This painting is not going to be worth anything if we have to fight over food. When will you finally start to listen? When will you finally start to listen and stop business as usual?”
In order to get you to stop destroying the climate, you heretic, you miscreant, these dogmatic religious fanatics decided to make “this Monet the stage and the public the audience.” The true believer declared: “If it takes pelting a painting with mashed potato or tomato soup to remind society that the fossil course is killing us all, then we give you mashed potato on a painting.”
The painting wasn’t destroyed; like the Van Gogh, it was behind protective glass. However, that doesn’t actually guarantee that this kind of protest won’t damage a world-historical masterpiece. Dr. Jonathan Foley, who, as the executive director of Project Drawdown, “the world’s leading resource for climate solutions,” is very much on the protestors’ side, tweeted: “As someone who used to run a museum, this is concerning. It’s not guaranteed that glass will protect a priceless work of art from liquids. They weren’t designed for that. Also, this will drive up insurance and security costs for museums. A lot.”

This is about targeting the destruction of western civilization .Western art, western laws, western cultural ,the nuclear family and replacing it with what? By throwing food onto art how is that solving “climate change” or hungry in the world, or bring peace to waring nations??What does Van Gogh who before he took up painting with a passion try to help and help poor coal mining families in France when he was thinking of becoming a priest .He died a very poor man making no money on fossil fuel ,or stock, he had no effect I know of on “climate change” or made any money in the military armies trading? People visiting to view these works of art at public museums .are not rich or powerful none can own these works of art .The art is be view like music is to love and listen to for its self as wonderful without any politics attached to it.

Here in Australia our main women’s sport is netball. They are not going very well financially but had a $15 million sponsorship deal with a large mining company. Well, they had to rock the boat & start saying they weren’t happy with what the mining founder said 30 years ago. The players basically said they weren’t happy taking money from a mining company. So, then the mining company said “fine”, and withdrew the sponsorship. Go woke, go broke I believe is the motto here.

And then charge them for the damage done, for the cleaning crew, and any thing else that came as a direct result of their vandalism.
Waiting to eat, drink, move and go to the restroom might cause a few brain cells to respond in a negative way the next time their fool cells begin firing on a stupid idea.

Those so-called climate activists are just plain old vandals. Had they done that in places like Singapore they would most-likely been sentenced to 50 lashes like they do with vandals painting graffiti.
If they cared so much about climate and food they should go to Moscow and complain about the war in Ukraine which is causing both famine and tons of CO2 and methane gas pollution worldwide. Not to mention radioactive pollution.
Those sleepy museum directors know what is going on around them – why haven’t they put guards at the entrance to check bags and install more protective glass? Its not rocket science.

The GUARDS are looking for small tubes of glue ,the paintings did have protective harden glass over them from another article abut these idiots who could work in a homeless soup kitchen if they wanted to help the poor.

How did the arrive at that museum to act out their vandalism ? By a car or some other type of vehicle ?
If so they are burning more fossil fuels and thus to the “climate problem.”

These climate activist fanatics must be so out of touch with reality. My immediate reaction is that these acts of mindless, imbecilic vandalism are bound to lose support for these clowns and their moronic cause among the average people in the community. It strikes me as such a stupid move. Also i fail to see any connection at all between supposed man made climate change and vandalising masterpieces of western art. I get that these brain dead fuckwits have a generalised hatred for western civilisation, but the connection between these art works and climate change seems non-existent. It is the same when these fuckwits glue themselves to the road and stop the average type of person, who actually has a family and needs to do adult things l;ike work to pay for the family’s needs, from getting to work to earn a living. These fools really do know how to piss the average citizen off and lose support for their cause.

Yes, that must be it, James. These sorts of appalling and pointless actions would anger almost all normal members of society so I believe that every time they carry out this type of vandalism, their cause would lose support. I am staggered by the idiocy of these recent attacks on paintings. How these fools came up with such an idea is beyond me because it seems to have no relevance whatsoever to the climate change issue. I guess, in their diseased thinking, anything to do with western civilisation is hated and is a target.

The math behind the climate hoaxers is wanting. They use complex models that apply mathematics in a way that science doesn’t support. No model is needed; they should use a heat-transfer equation. They are used thousands of times every day, and they are accurate. A constant has to be manufactured from empirical data, however, atmospheric data is rather easy to find. If you do this, you will find that man-made CO2 cools the Earth (it’s cooler in the shade) by less than 1/1000th of a degree F. The effect lasts about 3 years.
The climate hoaxers demonstrate how clueless they are with the term, “greenhouse gas”, which is an oxymoron. Greenhouses allow radiation and inhibit convection. Any gas that inhibits convection is not a gas, by definition.
