You know a nation is in trouble when its security services are raiding the residence of a former president. Doubly so when said nation’s supposedly liberal intelligentsia seem tickled pink about this unprecedented development, without a whiff of concern or scepticism about what the feds are up to. That’s where the United States is at the moment, in the wake of the FBI’s search of former president Donald Trump ’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida on Monday, reportedly over a dispute about missing official documents.

There’s still much we don’t know about this bizarrely explosive dispute between Trump and the National Archives. But what we do know is puzzling, to put it lightly. According to the New York Times, officials had been after Trump for months over official and potentially classified materials he still had in his possession. After archivists retrieved 15 boxes of documents, including some sensitive material, the US Department of Justice was called in. A grand jury was convened. Federal investigators, including counterintelligence officers, were deployed. And, unsatisfied with what had been retrieved, officers then secured a search warrant.

Why this couldn’t have been handled in a somewhat more discrete fashion, without armed agents and everything, is not yet clear. Think back to Hillary Clinton’s notorious email server and you see allegations like this are not unprecedented, but this raid certainly is. Former spooks on liberal cable-news networks have reassured Americans that everything must have been on the up and up, because the raid would have required the sign-off of a judge, FBI head Christopher Wray and attorney general Merrick Garland. ‘They wouldn’t do this unless they had the goods’ is the line being trotted out across corporate media.

To at least half of America, of course, this is about as reassuring as Joe Biden insisting he remembers where he parked the car. As left-wing journalist Matt Taibbi notes, similar reassurances were offered over and over again during the ludicrous Russiagate scandal, to justify official investigations, insane claims and even the surveillance of Trump advisers. In the end, of course, the idea that Trump was Putin’s puppet turned out to be an elite conspiracy theory. Still, the FBI and its newfound liberal cheerleaders are now hoping to rely on a level of blind public trust that no longer exists, if it ever existed at all….

  1. Just a few facts:; The “judge” who signed the search warrant is the same guy who defended the people who helped j. epstein get young girls to his island pornatory.
    the garland guy is a creep who went after parents who objected to his son/daughter’s….one is an in-law of garland’s…business getting to the little kids in school with the crt and other garbage, and had them labeled “domestic terrorists.”
    It is said that many close workers with Mr. Trump when he was in the WH, did not know he had a safe in Florida, and that only a few…less than a dozen…people would have that information, and to know where the documents would be…so there was a “mole.”
    the former “librarian’ for the NA, saw the boxes being taken from the WH, and jumped into action because the decided Mr. Trump didn’t have any right to do that…whereas, “bo” could take 30 thousand pieces of WH history with him to chicago, and no raids have happened.
    and the left media are saying this was not a “raid.” But, they don’t have a better word that fits…because it was a raid. they could call it “Black Flag,” or “Combat,” or “Hot Shot.”

    Historians who write should be taking notes. this is worse than the Tea pot dome scandal.

    • I had heard that Obama took 30 million pages of government documents and still has them. As James Comey said of Hillary Clinton, there may have been some negligence involved but the main point to keep in mind is whether or not there was any intention to commit a crime … and of course the FBI decided Hillary had no intention of doing anything wrong and apparently the same is true of Obama and, of course, the FBI in all honesty and devotion to integrity (as well as fidelity and bravery) must conclude no less of Donald Trump. He obviously had no intent to commit a crime. This investigation is concluded and case closed. Trump is free to run for President if he wishes to do so and the people will be able to decide. BTW, I also look forward to the results of the investigation into the largest voter fraud organization in history that Biden announced he had put in place back in 2020. The FBI should be announcing Biden’s intent of doing that any day now.

    • Historians take note. The last name of the judge that issued the warrant is Reinhart. You just cant make this stuff up.

        • You just can’t make this stuff up. His photo is hideous. I was watching a couple of videos last night…Jesse Watters, and Brian K. taking over for Tucker. One of them showed this ‘judge’ holding a package of cookies and a bottle of beer. Not that there is anything wrong with those things, but he just doesn’t strike me as someone with which I would associate or associate him with Justice.

          Scientists have said in the last week, that the earth is spinning faster than ever before and they ‘don’t know why.’ It may be trying to spin fast enough to throw off some of the human waste that has accumulated.

        • I always segregate my cookies from my beer. I know that makes me a fascistic anti-American white supremacist but I don’t care.

        • I have read that Nadia Marcinkova acted as a procurer, among other things, and that the flight business attributed to her was a cover for moving girls.

    • And President Trump had his security clearance yanked by the current president. I have been unable to determine if this has ever happened before.

      • If he gets re-elected, he should redact the security clearances of Biden, Obama, both the Clintons as well as Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell. And appoint an independent commission to investigate them for treason

Garland has finally spoken and the words were about the same as Putin would use after raiding a political opponent. “No one is above the law”(Putin used this to remove oil baron opponent), “Can’t go into details”, “more information someday”, “Fine outstanding FBI” (The FBI that almost got away with letting the Draw Muhammad contestants be murdered?) It does have some rotten apples.

    The saddest sham – “Upholding the rule of law means applying the law evenly without fear or favor”. Under my watch, that is precisely what the Justice Department is doing.” – Like sending the FBI after the protesters threatening SCOTUS members at their residences? Or, stopping the destruction by Antifa and BLM?

    Maybe he really is dedicated to cleaning up the DOJ and FBI! Love to believe it. Reality – same old boilerplate every weaponized regime uses.

    • Twitter is afire with citizens jumping all over this “raid.” It seems many more people are becoming aware that there is a two tier, or in other words, corrupted aspects, to the branches tasked with law enforcement.

  4. What is to become of a nation where both sides no longer like what that nation represents? It is clear to most Americans that the once named United States are no longer united. Any American that thinks differently is in complete denial. The nation has become no different than a marriage gone bad and personally I would rather not see the problem resolved by one party killing the other party. There has to be a different way forward.

    • I have no problem with what my nation represents. It’s very well stated in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. We are a nation where every citizen is entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness within the bounds of a set of laws to be applied equally and justly to every citizen of the country. Above all every person is to be considered innocent until proven guilty and there shall be no discrimination in the application of law with regard to race or creed and no religion shall be favored by the government above all others.

      The problem is that we now have a political party which sees some races and religions as deserving of being favored above others. This political party has now taken control of nearly the entire federal government. The problem is not the government itself but rather with the way the power entrusted to those running the government has been abused and corrupted so as to limit the freedom of the majority of the people beyond what is allowed by the Constitution. The question is how do we rid ourselves and our government of this political party by the lawful means available to us if our legal system has been taken over by the very criminals intent upon maintaining permanent control over us.

      If we do not want an outright kinetic civil war we must wait and suffer for a little while longer and make certain that the next election is as free of fraud and corruption as possible and then, if we win fairly, we must renew and reinvigorate this nation into what it was always meant to be – a land where the people control the government and the government does not control the people. But most of all we must once again become a people who knows right from wrong by acknowledging that right and wrong do exist and it matters profoundly that a consistent system of measurement be used when determining the difference between the two.

      • Seconded. Now if we could just convince the left we would be getting somewhere. I think the left may be past the point of no return and that is the fundamental problem. I believe that the left would reject everything that you wrote.

        The principles in the US Constitution are the best ever offered to a people. Things go wrong when we don’t live them. Even with today’s corruption in government, foreigners are risking their lives to come here from everywhere.

        There are methods of correction built into the framework but they take time and don’t allow the instantaneous quenching of anger through violence. We have two very powerful options – educate people about the mis-use of government, and vote.

  5. This seems like a continuation of that Trump derangement syndrome, that out of control hatred for Trump by the left wingers, and they are out to prevent him running for President again. It also seems like the way the fascists among the left wingers would act. Anyone who steps out of line and isn’t on the left wingers’ side (on all issues), then it is, well, fuck any rules, the left fascists will do whatever it takes to destroy them. They are a vicious bunch and yet they think that they are so full of virtue and that their cause is noble..

      • I’ve heard a few of the commentators out here in Australia saying that the USA seems like a very divided society these days, gravenimage, which is a shame if it’s true and it does seem to be true. The thugs that run China and want to dominate the world would be rubbing their hands together with glee over the prospect of a divided and weakened USA. The left fascists do seem to think that they can do anything because righteousness and virtue are always theirs (in their own deluded, wrong headed minds). Have any of those wildfires in California had any effect on your life at all? They seem to have been really severe in the USA and, certainly in parts of Europe as well. It is a familiar scenario in Australia, however, this year it has been all rain and floods out here, apparently caused by a la nina weather system.

    And Merrick Garland was nattering on earlier today about the rule of law and–hilariously–about the presumption of innocence, when leftists have been desperately searching for anything to charge President Trump with for years now.

    • His concern for the rule of law and the presumption of innocence are so touching. When he went on to inform us that we aren’t to question the integrity of the FBI, I wept for them and their hurt feelings. It was all so sad.

  8. Beck says Mr. Trump’s lawyer was not allowed to read the warrant until the fbi goons left and then gave it to her. They broke the locks on his safe room…where he had documents stored at the orders of the NA guys until they worked out what he was to turn over.

    If they did not have for what they were searching listed on the warrant, and they found something not listed, it cannot be used as it would be “fruit of the poisonous tree”.

    the entire thing was illegal and they know it.

  9. Dark times for America. No doubt. And just imagine if this had been done to Obama by the Trump Administration, Obama having carried off some 30 million documents to Chicago that still remain entirely unreleased.

    Two-tier justice is no justice at all. Leading this descent is the Democratic Party as a whole. As Dick Morris, the only person ever to be an advisor to both a Democratic and a Republican President in an election year (Clinton in 1996 and Trump in 2020), said just this week, Trump is an SOB but he still plays by the rules. Democrats are SOBs and they don’t play by the rules.

  10. What if this is an intentional distraction? Heard anything lately from the Biden admin about Ukraine? What if beefing up the IRS is to guarantee revenue for a HOT Ukraine war with Russia? Nations usually won’t change government officials in a war, so going to war could be the Biden Handlers backup plan to stay in power.

What the Feds are up to is recovering documents that Trump stole from the government which he received notice to return contained in a subpoena 30 days before the FBI search not raid which Trump refused to comply. Blaming the left or whatever bogeyman suits Richard Spencer is dishonest journalism and unnecessary divisive. Trump is not above the law.
