New in PJ Media:
Former Vice President Mike Pence confirmed on Wednesday that he has about as much chance of being the Republican nominee for president in 2024 as Nancy Pelosi has of joining the Radio City Rockettes. Demonstrating a tone-deafness of Olympian proportions, Pence had harsh words for the Republicans who are appalled at how the FBI has become a tool of the partisan vendetta of Old Joe Biden and Merrick Garland against Donald Trump. In Pence’s world, the stout-hearted G-Men are still of unquestionable integrity, square-jawed, patriotic, non-partisan, and ever-vigilant for truth, justice, and the American way. It hasn’t been that way for a long time if it ever was, but Mike hasn’t noticed.
Pence, who has something of the mien of an upright, taciturn fed himself, said: “The Republican Party is the party of law and order. And these attacks on the FBI must stop; calls to defund the FBI are just as wrong as calls to defund the police.” According to ABC News, Pence added that while he was “deeply troubled” over the raid on Trump’s home, “the party can still hold Attorney General Merrick Garland accountable ‘without attacking the rank-and-file law enforcement personnel at the FBI.’”
Well, sure. There are no doubt a few FBI agents left who are conscientious and patriotic and are trying to do a good job for the American people. If Americans were storming FBI offices in the hinterlands and brutalizing well-meaning agents who had nothing to do with the Russian collusion hoax or the attempt to brand angry parents at school board meetings as terrorists, Pence might have a point. But they aren’t, and he doesn’t.
“The truth of the matter is,” said Pence after ignoring the major facts at hand, “we need to get to the bottom of what happened. We need to let the facts play out, but more than anything else, the American people need to be reassured in the integrity of our justice system and the very appearance of a recurrence of politics playing a role in decisions that the Justice Department demands transparency as never before.”
Yes, that’s actually true in a sense. We do need to get to the bottom of what happened, but Americans who are paying attention have already seen “the integrity of our justice system” seriously called into question. There is not only the FBI’s involvement in the Russia hoax, but the fact that Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden were not indicted and so much more that indicates that the FBI is not dealing dispassionately and impartially and that the Biden administration is using what is supposed to be neutral law enforcement to play partisan politics in the most dishonest fashion imaginable.
Even besides all that, there is the fact that J. Christian Adams reported about on June 30: Lindsay Capodilupo, the FBI’s “Election Crimes Coordinator” (does she investigate those “election crimes” or perpetrate them?) works closely with the Democracy Fund, which Adams calls “a hyper-funded progressive money source.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

Its sad. Pence was looked at as being the successor to Trump and just a good stable man. He has shown his true self to America and its the same vile corruption that infests the democrat party.
Who did you sell your soul to Mike?

the attacks will stop when the attitude and the tactics of the FBI improve. The FBI is supposed to be the greatest police force in the world (NOT) Read a different story that Hillary Clinton sent the FBI against Trump all looking for documents pertaining to cross fire hurricane. All a gun running scam by Obama and Holder

Questioning the actions the FBI has been doing under the Biden administration ,and the underhanded Russian hoax that was pushed even before Trump was swore in is not “attacking” the FBI .The public and elected officials can question the actions of a taxpayers money spent on an agency that seems to be doing illegal anti-constitution actions and ignoring the Bill of Rights. The FBI is not above the law , if the FBI can break the laws of this country to go after Trump with no fear of being questioned on their actions then what about the average citizen that is in their sights for some imaginary slight against the people in power in our government ?Why does the present government in the White house that run the FBI not make public what they were looking for on the search warrant ,who in the FBI is leaking rumors to the press to push more anti-Trump agenda of the Biden camp? It is elected officials duty to question actions taken by the FBI if they look very illegal on the surface the FBI has said nothing that justify their actions at the Florida winter home of Trump ,or the actions against school parents at PTA meetings or the half dozen entrapment operations against people in the Trump administration(before and after Trump left office) in the last 6 years. Where is Biden doing when all this he goes down on vacation with his bagman son on some island off the South Carolina. Why is Pence opening his mouth and defending an agency that is not being “attacked” but being questioned on their record of the last 6 years of going after people for their political associations not any violent actions or “threats” of violence Why does the FBI not look at the BLM organizers or some elected officials who bailed out rioters , where over a dozen people where killed and billions of dollars of damage done in this country?

Fox has been trying to get Ron DeSantis to run against Trump, but that’s not gonna happen: DeSantis might be content w/ waiting for 2028, given that time is on his side. But Fox could well pitch the idea to Pence, who’s always been a Paul Ryan Republican, and always short of ideas. For instance, the plan to save jobs at the Carrier plant in Indiana was totally done by Trump in the days before he took office, whereas before that, all Pence did was to call and ask, and when they said no, that was it.
I can see a primary b/w Trump and Pence, even if Pence is on record that he’d only run if Trump doesn’t. But it’s sad to see how far Pence has strayed: any admiration that I had of him, such as when he was the point man for managing the Covid task force, is now gone
As for the FBI, they are this century’s version of the KGB, and the sooner they are disbanded, the better. And no, it ain’t the same as defunding the police

Also, as Seb Gorka stated, anybody of conscience who still works at the FBI, even if it is the lady who makes coffee, ought to quit the organization on principle

Americans are watching and concluding that the FBI is BIDEN’S GESTAPO. Biden hasn’t denied it.
Pence may personally know a few agents of the type he describes, but it is never good to overgeneralize. He has incautiously attributed virtues of impartiality to very partial agents who do not deserve that praise.
Americans have largely concluded that if a president and his top supporters can be raided and shackled then any citizen may now be mistreated by the FBI at any moment.
The United States is based on the DIVISION and SEPARATION OF POWERS, a doctrine that claims it is dangerous for one branch of government to have too much power. The Dems obviously don’t believe in that if they can get away with it. They are unifying the powers as much as possible in collusion with Big Tech companies who are covering up all their scandals for them and are in constant contact with the Dem Party as their watch dogs.

Pence would lose if either Trump or DeSantis ran in a primary against him ,I do not see Pence running for any public office on a the republican ticket .I see a possible lobby job working for the democrats as his future or a cnn talking head ,that is the reason he is opening his mouth after keeping it very shut when he was VP under Trump.

‘PARTIZANIZATION’ should be a neologism adopted by the dictionaries, because that is what is happening in the American institutions.
Hitler forcibly did this in 1933 with a policy called ‘GLEICHSCHALTUNG’ (‘synchronization’ or ‘smoothing over’ between different branches of society).
What we see the Dems doing is an American unofficial GLEICHSCHALTUNG that aims to SMOOTH OVER and SYNCHRONIZE thought into one unified body between institutions, so that WRONGTHINK can furthermore never occur.

The simple fact is, once credibility is gone, so is trust. And why should people who see what has happened to the “criminal justice system,”…kind of like only criminals can expect any ‘justice,….not speak up about what they see?
In the latest report on the border, NewsMax has this:
“Other notable statistics from the FAIR assessment:
Ten people from the FBI’s terror watch list were apprehended between ports of entry at the Southwest border in July alone. For the fiscal year, 66 members of the watch list have been captured by officials.’
CBP reported 199,976 encounters at the Southwest border in July 2022, including 134,362 single adults, 51,822 family units, and 13,299 unaccompanied minors.
In July, CBP expelled only 37% of illegal aliens through the implementation of Title 42 — a pandemic-era policy that has prompted Border Patrol officials to turn away hundreds of thousands of migrants over the last two years.
Border Patrol officials alternatively processed captures under Title 8, which enables illegal migrants to be released into the U.S. interior, while their cases await the immigration courts.
From a drug-seizure standpoint, 2,071 pounds of fentanyl and 12,989 pounds of methamphetamine were recovered at the southern border in July. For that month alone, itamounts to roughly 469 million lethal doses of fentanyl.”
but, the fbi used up time, resources, etc. to go after some documents that garland decided were so important after a year and a half that the fbi sent 30 agents to collect them and rummage through ladies’ underwear.
People are going to talk about that< like it or not Mr Pence

I know that Newt Gingrich was on the short list for VP under Pres. Trump.
I wonder how things would’ve played out if Pres. Trump had picked Gingrich instead of Pence…
Infidel says
One of the things Trump should have done should have been pick someone much younger, so that he could be ready to step into his shoes when 2024/2028 came. Pence satisfied that criteria somewhat, and he also filled in an Achilles heel of Trump: a perception that Trump was not much of a gentleman – so that the ticket could appeal to prudes within the GOP. Remember the reaction of particularly religious conservatives when Pence was picked: some thought that Trump himself should have been out of the ticket and Pence should have headed it
While most agree that Ron DeSantis should be the 2028 nominee, problem is that Trump can’t have him on the ticket since they’re both Florida residents. Maybe Trump could have Marjorie Taylor Greene so that if a situation like 2020 arises, she can actually refuse to certify states whose electors were questionably elected
James Lincoln says
Infidel,
To your point about a Trump-DeSantis ticket for 2024, the Gateway Pundit had an excellent article that addressed it:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/08/wayne-root-yes-trump-desantis-great-gop-ticket-2024-not-possibleunless-happens/
You are obviously correct – two candidates cannot run from the same state because the electoral college votes would be lost for one of the two candidates. And Florida is big.
But Trump could change his state of residence – and still have DeSantis on the ticket for VP for 2024.
Infidel says
It doesn’t make sense for him to move to NJ, where he’d be one of the few Presidents who lost his home state both times. Even NV is a stretch even if he moves
So this time, he could simply do what President Bush XLIII did, and pick someone who’ll help him govern, but won’t succeed him. So this time, if he doesn’t pick MTG, he could pick Newt, Rudy or anyone else he wants there
