Kyle Shideler is right. The corruption is too deep for reform.

From the time I was 7-years-old until I was about 20, I was in love with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In second grade, while other kids wanted to be firemen, I wanted to be a special agent (and I could have told you what one was, what they did, and what the requirements were to become one). In the early 1990s, my favorite show was “FBI: The Untold Stories,” and if we were not home from Cub Scouts in time for it to air, there was a tantrum on the way. I did a book report on a J. Edgar Hoover biography in middle school.
My zeal mellowed as I grew older but never entirely disappeared. As I began my career looking at counterterrorism policy, I meticulously studied the FBI’s extensive investigation of the Holy Land Foundation, the largest Islamic charity in the country, which was successfully convicted of financing the terror group Hamas after more than a decade of FBI investigation (I’ve written two short monographs about aspects of the case).
Later I had the pleasure of providing a three-hour briefing on the ideology of Islamist terrorists for an FBI-led group of Joint Terrorism Task Forces (JTTF) agents, which included one of the agents who worked the Holy Land Foundation case. Several of my colleagues have signed certifications from the FBI in recognition of their work in counterterrorism education.
I say all this to establish that I am not some dyed-in-the-wool civil libertarian who has always had it in for federal law enforcement. I have spent most of my adult life trying to educate people about the serious national security threats this country faces. The United States has very real enemies, both foreign and domestic, and it requires defending.
Nevertheless, the FBI must be abolished.
The solution to the abuses we now endure is not just to subject the FBI to another fruitless inspector general investigation but to dismantle it completely. The bureau cannot be the focus of yet another congressional hearing. FBI Director Christopher Wray, like his predecessors, is more than happy to sit smirking while a handful of grandstanding congressmen and senators pound the table and yell on C-SPAN. Then he’ll jet off for a holiday vacation on a taxpayer-funded private jet while the same congressmen vote to increase his budget. Again.
No, the FBI must be rendered into component parts and distributed to the four winds….

On the latest Wednesday Special by Glenn Beck, he goes fairly deep into the fbi…and Ron Paul, looking quite young in a clip from 1988, explains just what seemed…and still does seem…to be the purpose of the fbi.. and it isn’t security for the law-abiding American citizen.
Interestingly, as a side note, no one has yet called for a name change to the fbi building as they have for a whole lot of other buildings, streets, etc. Yet, hoover was a rat.

The FBI is a FAILED INSTITUTION. Ruined by the pimp, Obama…. He was the first president in history to use political affiliation as a primary hiring criteria for Federal law enforcement positions. 8 years of hiring democratic operatives has had a devastating impact on this nation’s premeire law enforcemnt organization. Doubt it??? NOT ONE BLM RIOTER WAS CHARGED BY THE FBI WITH THE INCREDIBLE DESTRUCTION WROUGHT BY THAT ORGANIZATION…. They’ve done NOTHING…..

FACT: The DoJ (FBI) is 97% Democrat. The FBI must be totally dissolved. The DoJ, like the rest of the Federal government, is not malignant due to lack of diversity of skin or gender — the DoJ is suffering and dangerous due to no diversity of political ideology. It must be resurrected with an equal number of Conservatives and Liberals, so they can keep each other in check.

As a retired DEA agent (1973-1995), I have very mixed feelings toward the FBI. During my career, I occasionally worked with them, and from 1990-1995, I spent the last five years of my career as a DEA trainer at the FBI Academy (at a time we were co-located at their facility.) There was a time after the bad decision to give the FBI joint drug enforcement jurisdiction that DEA would be merged into the FBI. Fortunately, that never happened. In the end, then-AG Janet Reno correctly (for a change) decided that it was not a good idea largely because of the vast difference in cultures between the two agencies.
Other federal agencies did not trust the FBI because of its culture that the FBI was the “greatest” federal agency and always had to be front and center. This is a culture that J Edgar Hoover started. In spite of some reforms by his successors, that culture has persevered. The result is that more recently, we had have people like Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe just to name two. It’s an attitude that they can do whatever they want. Had Strzok and McCabe been indicted, it would have been a valuable lesson that they can’t
While it is true that the rot at the top of the FBI has filtered down, I still believe that there are many FBI agents doing honorable work and appalled at what has been done to Trump by their agency. It is an abuse of power, and few things are worse than an abuse of power.
The FBI has jurisdiction over so many crimes, and to the extent that these could be transferred to other agencies, that would be a positive. I obviously feel that they need to concentrate on Islamic terrorism-the real terror threat. While I am not ready to agree that the FBI should be abolished entirely, they are need of serious reform. It is obvious that Christopher Wray is not the man to bring that about.

Apparently of officials in power in the Federal Bureau of Investigation have never read or don’t really believe in the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. This is because the Biden/ Harris / Pelosi regime had the FBI conduct an old time like Soviet type invasion of the home of Donald Trump in a raid of political harassment.
What a terrible abuse of Federal power, which was not what, the FBI was originally designed to be used for.
Therefore, maybe the now corrupted FBI thoroughly infiltrated, horrible far -left wing with Red/Green that corruption is so ingrained in that formerly good federal organization the damage done to it might be completely irreversible. As beyond repair and reform.
