It is a brittle and insecure religion and culture that feels itself compelled to punish dissidents with prison or violence. That is true in many instances other than this particular one, and far beyond Islam itself.
Meanwhile, this sort of thing doesn’t happen in the enlightened West. Here, we are free to criticize any and all ideas. In fact, attacking the Christian religion will make you a hero on the Left. You can criticize Islam as well, but doing so will bring you hatred and contempt from both the Sharia-respecting Left and Right.

Her publication cost her dearly. On Monday August 15, a Moroccan blogger was sentenced to two years in prison by the Oued court of first instance. As Le Figaro relays, Fatema Karim was accused of “attacking the Muslim religion” after having commented, in Arabic, on verses from the Koran and hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad last July.
“Very severe verdict”
The 39-year-old blogger has announced her intention to appeal her conviction. At the same time, she publicly apologized to “anyone who felt offended” by her comment posted on Facebook. “This verdict is very harsh. It sends us back years,” denounced Bouazza Karim, the brother of Fatema Karim. In Morocco, anyone who violates the Muslim religion is likely to receive a sentence ranging from six months to two years in prison. A possible penalty of extending to five years in prison if the offense is committed in public, even online. Any attack “on the monarchical regime” is also punished by the kingdom.

As for people criticizing Christianity, mocking and even lying about it, one of the things said frequently is that the Founding Fathers never intended this nation to be Christian.
Lo and behold….Glenn Beck presented overwhelming evidence last evening that disputes those claims. He read from what several dozen of the Founders said, and hoped and wrote; and from what many presidents wrote and said about the foundation and the direction for the country. All the way back to the Mass Bay Colony, and the Mayflower and down through the years until at least Lyndon Johnson.
He said he had many more quotes that he could share, but there was not enough time.
But, the mocking and the lying will continue and no punishment will come to those mockers and liars for doing so.

John Adams wrote that “our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” However, it depends on the religion and the moral code, does it not? As we know, not all religions follow the same moral code. If our moral code does not include respect for others, as taught by Christianity, the U.S. will end. The followers of Woke disrespect our traditions, our system of government and laws and even our flag and deride those who do as racists. The followers of Islam respect only those things allowed under Islam. Even though Christianity was never the official religion of the United States the moral code its people followed was initially based upon Christianity. The Woke and the Muslims are intent upon changing our moral code by suppressing or even destroying Christianity – and when they succeed in doing that, they will have, as Obama said, fundamentally changed our country into one completely different from what the Founders intended. Without Christianity this country would not and will not exist as the land of the free. I am convinced of that.

Mr. Beck presented so much evidence that showed the Founders and those who knew and understood them, relied on God and His Son for direction; he even had some things he quoted that were about how much of the Constitution was copied from the Bible…how much from which Books; the Legal system, the three branches of government; and much, much more. I watched it and was amazed. I intend to watch it again.
But because it was founded by such men as these, they didn’t try to limit the country as to who could come and live and be free.

I took a quick look at the constitution of India and Part III, section 15 prohibits discrimination against any citizen based on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth. It looks as if India tries to safeguard freedom of religion just as much as the U.S. does. I assume that means India is like the U.S. in that it does not favor any one particular religion. I don’t see why Christians would have a problem with that especially if they are in the minority. However, maybe India is also like the U.S. in that there are a large numbers of people who do not know what the country’s constitution says.
