WaPo Columnist: Biden’s Covid Diagnosis Is a Chance to ‘Demonstrate the Success of His Leadership’

Any reasonable person would think that Old Joe Biden’s COVID diagnosis, coming after he was vaccinated, twice boosted, and (almost) always masked, was evidence that the Left’s entire COVID narrative was false. But the concept of disconfirming evidence doesn’t even exist on the Left; no matter what happens, the narrative must be preserved. CNN medical analyst Leana Wen took to the pages of the Washington Post Thursday to shore up several of the Left’s sagging narratives, pretending for the length of an entire column both that Biden has been a successful president and that his COVID agenda has been a resounding success.

Wen, the Shanghai-born former Planned Parenthood chief who last December wished that Old Joe “would go further to restrict the activities of the unvaccinated because they are the ones who are still spreading Covid and prolonging the pandemic for all of us,” was quick to see a silver lining in her superannuated hero’s bout with the Wuhan sniffles: “President Biden’s covid-19 diagnosis is an opportunity for his administration to demonstrate the success of his leadership on the pandemic and what living with the coronavirus looks like.”

Wait, what? The “success of his leadership on the pandemic”? How is Wen measuring success here? There have been more COVID deaths during the Biden administration than under Trump, and despite Biden’s shameless credit-stealing, the vaccines and vaccine distribution plan were developed during the Trump administration as well. That’s an increasingly dubious distinction, to be sure: as more evidence piles up of how ineffective and dangerous they are, expect Biden and his handlers to start talking about “Trump’s vaccines.” But Biden promised to “shut down the virus.” He didn’t. Not even close. So exactly what would Wen have us believe constitutes “the success of his leadership on the pandemic”?

In fact, the biggest sign that Biden’s leadership on the pandemic has been a resounding failure is his own COVID diagnosis. This is, after all, the man who, one day short of a year before he came down with COVID himself, declared: “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” Yet Biden, vaccinated and boosted, got COVID. If that’s success in the eyes of Leana Wen, I’d hate to see what she regards as failure.

But now Wen is anxious to toss off Biden’s China flu as inevitable, and trivial in its import: “The fact that Biden contracted the coronavirus should not be surprising at all.” Really? Not even to Old Joe himself? So is Wen telling us that he never believed the guff about the effectiveness of the vaccines that he has been peddling to the American people all this time? That would be par for the course for the corrupt old liar Biden, but here again, it hardly constitutes any success of his “leadership.”

    This is so. so typical of Joe Biden’s idiocy. Of course you can still get it. spread it, at least for a short while. No vaccine ever developed for any disease works as an invisible force field preventing a disease from entering your body.

    But then Joe Biden follows “the science” instead of trying to understand science. Like most Democrats.

    • Actually the old definition of a vaccine meant it would stop you getting a certain disease. They had to change the definition of a vaccine to allow these experimental RNA shots to be able to be called a vaccine. They had to change the definition to say you could still catch the disease, but the vaccine gives you some protection from it. They have admitted the fourth shot only gives you 2-3 months protection before it wears off.

      Has everyone noticed it’s the old “Are we there yet?”…. “just a little more” with them? Just take another shot, just wear the mask, just do this, just do that. Here in Australia covid 19 is worse than it’s ever been. Oh well, at least the politicians aren’t locking us down anymore, & I get to work from home for the next 6 weeks.

    How did our government respond to the epidemic?

    By making it last as long as possible.

    Is that the worst thing they could do?

    Possibly not. Science is the testing of hypotheses. Data determines detection of central tendencies, the veracity of determination accumulates, it is not instantaneous.

    It is conceivable that these covid-19 treatments attenuate the prospect of exposure immunity and enhance vulnerability to this virus life-long. And there may be other effects detected [ retroactively ] by actuarial analysis.

    If that eventuality shows itself to be the likely case, how long before there is promulgated a mia culpa [ tort liability free, in advance, of course ] and mass “vaccination” ceases?

  3. Well, those lies Joe Biden said have come back around down on him. As that lie when he guaranteed the if a person gets vaccinated he or she won’t get infected with the coronavirus. The other dishonest and deceitfulness to the American public was when he along with Anthony Fauci that the coronavirus started in natural way by bat drooping that mutated into COVID -19 that infected a food market in Wuhan China.

    Yes the coronavirus started in that citiy of China but it was developed in a lab and Wuhan China that got out in that city then that nation and then the world and not by “mother nature.” So is really may ,rightly , be called the Wuhan virus ” of the China virus.” President Trump was right again when called the coronavirus as it should be called . He called it as it exactly is.

    That deceitful Biden lying about how that virus originated , in a sense, had lie about it it began come back on him in the fact that this virus entered into him and made him sick.

      • I believe that the interviews Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon both had w/ one Chinese doctor close to the action pretty much proves it: particularly the part where the Chicoms incarcerated her mother in retaliation for her revelations, and bribed the world’s scientific media to suppress it, falsely claiming that it hadn’t been peer-reviewed. Don’t have the links on me right now, but once I remember the name of the scientist, a simple search on YouTube should produce the results

  5. The un wants the monkey pox to be declared an emergency. I saw that there is a “dark brandon” meme.

    There is no logic to this *so-called* doctor’s unreasoning arguments for why biden having a runny nose is a good thing. She wanted to force all of us to get the jab. She didn’t hold back from saying that we don’t have the right to refuse something labeled an “experiment.”
    The clot shots don’t prevent anything, but do lead to a lot of adverse events, including many deaths.
    This pretend doctor is great at causing deaths….most often to the unborn. biden better be glad he’s not in that group of tiny people.
    If g b shaw had control, biden would have to grow enough potatoes for himself and ten other people or the wen ghoul would be happy to whack him.

  6. During the years of Trump in Office they claim 400 thousand people died with Covid, but so far under Biden it is reported that 600 thousand have died with Covid, so is s Trump responsible for the 400K but Old Joe aint responsible for the 600K.
    When Trump recovered from having Covid he stood on the White House Balcony and waved to the public indicating that he was just fine but some silly wee talking head on CNN, maybe Gay Don Lemon, said he looked like Mussolini while Obama stood on the exact same Balcony and waved at the public, but I guess him being half black wouldnt make him look like Mussolini but I guess you could say it made him look like Robert Mugabe, but I guess that would racist for a white guy like me to say THAT, but not for a black Gay dude to say it about Trump.

      At this point, the only question I have about the Wuhan virus was whether or not it was released from the lab deliberately.

      • In my opinion, it was deliberate.
        I thought that from the beginning. And then; I listened to a doctor who said the virus targeted a certain portion of the earth’s population more so than others. the chinese used dna it had gathered to develop a virus protein that would be hardest for the Whites in America to defeat.

        There was a lot of prep before it was released…and recall that the military games there sent a lot of Americans home with it.

        • I don’t recall the name of the doctor I was listening to….I have listened to so many over the past two and a half years….but she explained that some *experts* in the field had looked at the proteins and found that information. she said that the chinese government had been gathering DNA for years.

          Due to the wh getting fb and the twit sites to shut down disagreements over the virus, the shots and everything connected, it’s gotten really difficult to verify anything.
          a doctor I listened to last night on Brighteon ,along with Mike Adams, about the intent with all that is happening, was very interesting. All of it would be called *misinformation* if presented elsewhere.

          One thing is for certain – the Chinese Communist Party, on the worldwide stage, is stronger now than they were before the pandemic.

          And the fraudulent US administration refuses to fully investigate the origin of the virus and how it was released.

    Why would *getting a disease” be an indication of good leadership? I’m not saying that it in and of itself is an indication of poor leadership, but it is not specifically laudable.

  10. COVID or no COVID , it still stands that it’s well said in the three words, which are “Let’s Go Brandon” LGB = FJB is right . The reason why this is so is because Joe Biden is an affront to the Office of the Presidency of the United States and a disgrace to the US Constitution as well as a catastrophe for America and a disaster for the American people.
