I happen to watch quite a few Jaipur Dialogue videos these days, depending on the topic in question. This one was a record w/ 50 questions (some irrelevant). I think Dixit or Jha should have asked RS about Qatari lobbying activity in the US, particularly given that 2 years ago, every Arabian Gulf country, except Kuwait, were at Qatar’s throat due to its enabling of the Muslim Brotherhood. Which incidentally hasn’t stopped!
I don’t think it was a great idea having Ruchir Sharma in this discussion, given how the discussion meandered into places like Tajikistan. But what should have been discussed more should have been how Burma and Sri Lanka deal w/ the muslim threat, vs how India is dealing w/ it
On a different note, I also watched the full interview of Nupur Sharma by the other Nupur Sharma (of OpIndia). That one was interesting as well, and thankfully, it’s in English (except a sentence or so) so I can freely share that here as well. Note that this interview happened before Nupur Sharma’s expulsion from the BJP, so keep that in mind when she talks about the support she has been getting from the party at large
They are great people with a good grasp of reality but sheesh I have trouble with understanding their version of English in places, mostly it’s ok but they tend to lapse into a jumble of stuff that I just don’t grasp at times.
