Cineworld has pulled a film about the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad after outcry from protesters who picketed movie theatres and branded it ‘blasphemous’.
Hundreds of demonstrators have turned out in Bradford, Bolton, Birmingham and Sheffield to protest venues showing screenings of The Lady of Heaven.
The movie was released in the UK over the Jubilee weekend but has been pulled by Cineworld from all its branches after it was faced with protesters demanding it was canned. Vue, meanwhile, is still listed as showing the film in a number of its London branches tonight.
A video from the weekend appears to show a manager at one cinema addressing a crowd confirming the film has been pulled, prompting cries of ‘Allahu Akbar’.
The movie’s executive producer, Malik Shlibak, called the decision to pull the move ‘unacceptable’ and accused the chain of ‘bowing down to radical extremists’.
Made in Britain for £12million, the film opens with the invasion of Iraq by ISIS and features a graphic jihadist murder, before telling the story of Lady Fatima, one of the daughters of the founder of Islam.
Islamic tradition forbids the direct portrayal of religious figures, with previous depictions of prophets leading to protests and even murders amid accusations of blasphemy.
Director Eli King depicts Fatima as a faceless character, shrouded by a black veil to avoid doing this.
But protestors have accused the filmmakers of inaccurately depicting religious history and negatively portraying three of Islam’s most important figures….

Muslims should advertise themselves as an angry mob for hire, they’d make a lot of money. Are you offended by freedom of speech? Don’t like some artist’s song, painting or movie? Just hire an angry Muslim mob and you’ll shut down your target’s freedom of expression.
You want to shake-down companies for money? Create false claims of harassment, get a hired Muslim mob to protest, cause substantial financial damage to those companies. So you see, Muslims aren’t totally useless. /sarc

Sura 3.104 translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali: “Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity (in Islamic paradise)”.
Conclusion: Allah wants Muslims to beat up, burn out and kill blasphemers and he will reward them in Islam’s porno-paradise. Vigilantism is a form of JIHAD.

I had no idea Muhammad was that specific when he “recited” the definitions and purpose of terrorism. Thanks for continuing to provide the facts that fill up the who, what and why of Muhammad’s journey to hate, greed, vengeance, power lust and ignorance. Every little thing Muhammad is purported to have said or done as Allah or as himself is noteworthy given his role model status in the Muslim World.

I know that firsthand, having been harassed and chased through the suq of al-Khobar by these vigilantes as a teenager in Saudi Arabia.

I’m betting that any movie depicting Islam’s “Companions” and/or their families, by unbelievers, no matter how correct or positive, will be attacked by Muslim men as “blasphemous”.

Early Islam was not against images. We know this because the early palaces of the caliphs are filled with murals, some very sensual. Many early paintings of Mohammed and his companions are still extant.
The prohibition of images in Islam came about ‘coincidentally’ at about the same time as the ‘Iconoclasm’ controversy in the Eastern Church in the Roman Empire. ‘Coincidence’? Probably not.
However, Islam codified permanently the prohibition of images and the Christian church relaxed it.
Muslim writers invented anecdotes about Mohammed condemning images and those anecdotes found their way into collections of hadiths.
Islam is an HONOR/SHAME culture and if there is a hint of shame, then it must be washed away with the shedding of blood. There are probably posses right now that are discussing how they will assassinate the film-maker!

Imagine a film in which the leading character may not be seen and in which the leading, ‘title’ character’s face cannot be seen acting out the role!
A previous film about Mohammed didn’t show Mohammed at all … nor was his voice heard. Nevertheless, the film-maker still had his life threatened.
How absurd Islam is. They can usually find even the smallest excuse to go ballistic!

This is awesome! A flattering movie is made about a member of Muhammad’s family, and it’s muslim, rather than infidel protests, that force that movie to be pulled!
As for Britain’s condition, nothing short of a new civil war that eviscerates every party and ends up w/ an anti-islamic theocracy will solve their issue

Until the actual 2021 Sheffield Census results are published, the actual Sheffield growth rate due to immigration and child-bearing of former immigrants won’t be known, yet, is very significant
Sheffield appears to be a favored destination for Muslim immigrants. If this demand to remove a movie offending Islamic men is an indication, native Sheffield residents will continue feeling the arm of Islam in daily life and local politics.

If you hit pretty much any point along the nerve path of Islam it causes the entire limb to jerk and damage whatever is nearby. That in turn triggers a response that over time has become equally reflexive. Unless it’s their own nerve nobody even dares to discuss the issue, both out of the fear of triggering another spasm and out of the general weariness brought about by the unending, associated drama. Also, people are getting dumber and would rather pretend to be tolerant than explain why they hate Islam and are afraid of Muslims.

How much has it taken in so far at the box office / streaming / DVD, etc.?
Did the producers of the film “bake in” a possible muslim backlash?

How many of these protesters have seen the movie. Probably none, they are just looking for another excuse to dominate the KAFIR. And they hit where the businesses are most vulnerable. The pcketboook. There must be some way to counter these out laws. Several times I have recommended tough laws and strictt enforcement. El Salvador is a good example of what toi do. The policed in the western countgries have lists of troublemakers There will be a lot of shouting and screraming, but you’ll see some results, too.
