Given the nature of Pakistani society today, would it even have been possible for these brothers to get a fair hearing? Such a question would be asked as a matter of course in any other context, but here it would be “Islamophobic” to ask it.

A Pakistani high court has upheld the death sentence of two Christian brothers convicted for uploading blasphemous content on social media in 2011.
The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench comprising Justice Raja Shahid Mehmood Abbasi and Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz on June 8 dismissed the appeals of convicts – Qaiser Ayub and Amoon Ayub – against their sentences.
A sessions court in 2018 sentenced the two Christian brothers to death on a complaint by Muhammad Saeed who alleged that they had insulted Prophet Mohammad and posted the blasphemous post on a website.
The case against the two brothers, who reside in Talagang Chakwal district, some 300 kilometres from Lahore, in Punjab province of Pakistan, was registered in 2011.
According to the Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS-UK) that represented the brothers, Qaisar Ayub had a quarrel with a colleague at his office in 2011 over a “girl issue”, following which his rival approached the police for registration of a blasphemy case against him and his brother….

But the “international Christian community” is overwhelmingly pathetic at present and caving in daily to Islamic supremacist demands. Yes, there are exceptions, but the fact that there are exceptions only proves my overall position all the more.
Christianity in our era is at a low point. It is, mostly though not completely, consumed with ignorance, maudlin sentiment, craven submission and pathetic betrayal of what the Gospels actually state.
For me, as an agnostic, to have to note this functions all the more, quite tellingly, how the Christian world as a whole in the West (N.B., but certainly not in Africa where, in the aggregate, the most stalwart Christians continue to survive) is a shadow of its former self. It did not have to come to this if Islam and Leftism were properly understood. But it has come to this—and with no good reason.

Agree with Wellington. The Christian churches are led (not in all cases) by ideological fools like Pope Francis who refuse to look at Islam’s primary source texts or learn the authentic teachings of jihadism that are endorsed by Islam’s top authority, Al Azhar University of Cairo.
There are many notable exceptions to this lack of knowledge about Islam among Christians, such as Robert Spencer, David Wood, Christian Prince and Rev. Mark Durie of Australia.
However, in defense of the circumspect words of Western Christian leaders about Islamic terrorism, we must admit that many Christians are living ‘behind enemy lines’, and in Muslim-majority countries, the homes and churches of Christians are likely to be attacked, looted and burned by mobs of fanatical Muslims who will scapegoat them and even take their lives.
Islam is an HONOR/SHAME culture, and Islam’s lost honor must restored by the shedding of blood according to discriminatory Sharia law.

Not only are blasphemy laws grotesque in themselves, but they are so often used by Muslims who want to steal Infidel’s property and women.

WOW! You would think the left would be going nuts over THE DEATH SENTENCE for blasphemy. But then again they are all in on abortion but just don’t execute a mass murderer. I guess they chose Islam over Christianity. I wonder how they feel about throwing GAYS off of tall buildings or 6 yr. old brides?
I wonder where the left stands on cutting off hands for theft of property? That would are slow down the looting, shop lifting and home robberies around the country.
