Once again, this is a near-daily occurrence in Nigeria that is met with international indifference. The media narrative is that Muslims are always and in every circumstances victims, and that Christians are white oppressors. Stories of this kind don’t fit the narrative and are accordingly ignored.

Killer herdsmen on Sunday breached security at a parish in Owo, Ondo, leaving at least 28 dead, Peoples Gazette heard.
The attackers entered St Francis Xavier Catholic Church as service got underway on Sunday morning at the main community parish, an official said, firing live rounds on congregants before detonating explosives already planted in the church.
The attackers were identified by locals as being members of the ethnic Fulani stock, and a lawmaker said the tragic incident was orchestrated to send a message to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
“Fulani herdsmen entered our community and started shooting, they killed about 28 people and dozens were severely injured,” Olayemi Adeyemi, a member of Ondo House of Assembly representing the constituency, told Peoples Gazette….

The incident was said to have occurred at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
SaharaReporters gathered that the church is behind Olowo of Owo palace.
Many members of the congregation were shot and slaughtered.
One of the videos of the incident obtained by SaharaReporters shows that children were also killed in the attack….

ABC News is reporting it as an attack by a satanic cult. Although, I do agree with the characterization of the murderers, it does not specify the sect of the satanic cult as being Islamic. Perhaps the journalist just forgot to include this salient point. Tsk, tsk.

Not exactly. An ABC article quotes Richard Olatunde, an aide to the governor, describing the attack as “vile and satanic”.
This is *not* the same as claiming that the attack was perpetrated by a satanic cult. “Satanic” just means evil in this context.
