A Uzbekistan citizen residing in New York City who had been convicted of conspiring to and attempting to provide material support to Islamic State was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday, the U.S. Justice Department said.
Dilkhayot Kasimov, 34, was convicted of both counts following a trial in 2019. He was charged in 2015.
“Kasimov is an ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) supporter who collected and gave money to another individual to fund his travel to join the terrorist group. With this sentence, Kasimov is being held accountable for his crimes,” Matthew Olsen, assistant attorney general for national security, said in a statement….
“Kasimov was part of a group of individuals who sought to travel to Syria to join ISIS or to fund others who sought to become foreign fighters for ISIS,” Olsen said….

But too bad federal authorities over the last forty years or so, and certainly over the last twenty years or so, did not educate themselves exponentially respecting what Islam is ultimately up to.

Uzbekistan is currently a peaceful country: why is anyone from there allowed here? And if it’s a bad economy, they can go next door to oil rich Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan, and find jobs there

I wonder what will happen in countries like Belgium followed by Sweden and France that will turn majority Muslim within one or two generations. How will their definition of terror and self defence change. And what about blasphemy laws that are already being implemented. Can you Imagine how it will be in 20, 30 or even 50 years? Will it still be a crime.to support ISIS, Al Qaeda etc. or will these terrorists even enjoy protection and financial support from our governments?

All the money this guy has in a Bank Account anywhere in the World should be taken and used to take care of him as though I like the idea that he is locked up for 15 years, and we all know he will get before the 15 years, but his people should pay for his food, his dental and his medical and not the American Taxpayer he hates so much.
