This is the lie that will never die. It will never die because the narrative is politically useful. A mass shooting at a gay nightclub is a compelling talking point, unfortunately, Omar Mateen, an Afghan Islamic terrorist didn’t fit the profile, so the media and now Kamala Harris, like most politicians, will ignore what really happened.
“In the name of Allah, the merciful,” Omar Mateen told the police. “Praise be to Allah, and prayers as well as peace upon the prophet of Allah. I let you know, I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.”
Allah is missing from the hundreds of media stories about the Pulse attack which all mention homophobia. But Omar never spoke of gay people during his talks with police. He called himself an “Islamic soldier” and described the attack as revenge for the death of Abu Waheed; a senior ISIS leader.
There’s zero ambiguity on this score. Prosecutors revealed that Mateen had originally planned a Disney-themed terror attack.
Sweeney showed a video of the Disney Springs complex that captured Mateen walking near the House of Blues club in the hours before the Pulse attack. In it, he looks behind him at police officers standing nearby.
“He had to choose a new target,” she said.
Sweeney also said that Mateen had bought a baby stroller and doll at Walmart on June 11 — the day before the attack — and had a plan to hide a gun in the stroller while going to Disney.
Mateen didn’t even appear to know it was a gay club. But that won’t stop Kamala from repeating the same lies.
Vice President Harris criticized Republican-led states that have passed dozens of laws targeting LGBTQ youth during a speech at a Capital Pride Festival in D.C. on Sunday.
“No one should fear going to a nightclub for fear that a terrorist might try to take them down,” Harris said on Sunday, which also marked the sixth anniversary of a mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando where a gunman killed 49 people and injured 58 others.
“A gunman.”
Gov. Abbott and Gov. DeSantis protecting kids from abuse by transgender activists are to blame for an ISIS attack on a gay nightclub.
This is a lie. The media knows it’s a lie. Kamala, or at least the people around her, know it’s a lie. And yet they’ll keep repeating it with zero consequences.
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
Omar Mateen said, “Praise be to Allah, and prayers as well as peace upon the prophet of Allah.”
The prophet of Allah (i.e., Muhammad) has been dead for centuries. Why would he still need prayers or peace? Islamic theologians, please clarify.
CogitoErgoSum says
Well, since Muhammad is reported to have said that no one is assured of a place in Paradise, including himself, my guess is that there is a chance that Muhammad is either in Hell or may be sent to Hell on the judgment day. So yeah, maybe some of the stuff he was doing and saying was completely wrong. Nobody knows for sure … according to Muhammad himself … or at least according to what some hadiths say …. but there too nobody can be sure whether those are all true or not. Never mind any of that though, you can be certain … Islam is the bestest religion of all … believe it or burn in hell.
Shema says
In all honesty I don’t think Muhammad was that “bad” or “evil” of guy in comparison to others in Arabia at that time.
He is a descendant of Ishmael. I just wish they loved God as much as they love Allah.
CogitoErgoSum says
Yes, I’ve sometimes wondered why the Pope does not declare Muhammad a saint because he and many other Christians (maybe some Jews also) go along with the idea that Allah is just another name for God. Muhammad must have gotten something wrong though, but they won’t talk about what it is.
Wellington says
That’s kind of like saying that Hitler wasn’t as bad as Himmler, Mengele, Eichmann or Heydrich.
Sheila says
No evidence exists anywhere that Mohamad was a descendant of Ishmael. NONE.

Shema wrote:

………………
Muhammad was a warlord, pedophile, slaver, rapist, and mass murderer. If there were others as bad in Arabia at the time–questionable, since I haven’t seen any specific accounts–they certainly haven’t had his kind of influence.
mortimer says
I see the point of Shema that Mohammed may be compared to other DICTATORS of his time. Mohammed was no worse than Caligula nor any better than many other Roman or Persian emperors who routinely had political enemies executed for the ‘crime’ of disagreeing with the emperor.
To be fair, Islam merely codified the cruel practices of the Roman Empire and gave them an Arabian twist.
On the other hand, Rome, under the influence of Christianity and the Golden Rule continued to progress towards the Renaissance, and the Enlightenment which further pacified the savage impulses of pagan antiquity. It took a long time.
A similar development, however, is not possible with Islam, since it is fully codified, perfect and eternal and may never henceforth be changed, for that would be blasphemous and punishable by death.
gravenimage says
Mortimer, there is no doubt that Rome was flawed. But there is nothing like Roman law in Islam.
somehistory says
They keep repeating the lie about the law that Gov. DeSantis has signed to keep little kids in the first years of public school from hearing the nonsense of gender change, “transitioning” and other evils, claiming it is a ‘don’t say gay” law…funny they don’t claim it is a “don’t say homosexual’ law…and some perverts are whining that they can’t talk to their “little friends'” about what they do with their “partner” on the weekends.
k. harris…getting physically uglier by the day, imo, and has no concept of Truth and Ethics. She’s as stupid as she is ugly, as stupid as she is a liar. Unfortunately, she still has a high position in government, even if she is illegally there. She gets to spout her lies to everyone.
She is a protector of felons who need bail money, so taking the blame from islam and placing it on White guys who don’t cotton to homosexuality, or people who don’t like bobiden and her, is no big step for her

“illegally there”???
Still can’t get over the fact that Trump lost…legitimately?
Yesterday’s testimony wasn’t enough for you? Even his closest allies and family know he lost…but you don’t.
What do you need?
somehistory says
If it was a “fact,” I could recognize it. But it’s just a pile of bologna set out to rot.
And, I need a lot of things. Are you preparing to see that I get what I need? “proof” that biden and horseface harris won will never be provided. But, a lot of other things I need…could be. So, tell me what you are willing to fork over. I’ll then let you know if it fits with what I require.
Infidel says
You actually take this ‘testimony’ from this kangaroo court (w/ due apologies to kangaroos) seriously? It breaks every due process norm that ever existed
somehistory says
As Mark Levin (I believe it was he) explained, pelosi has no authority to hold a trial. and neither do her cohorts in the show trial.
Wellington says
You still won’t wake up, will you, Rarely?
Here are some FACTS: Biden beat Obama and Clinton ONLY in the cities of the six key swing states; the Pennsylvania Supreme Court illegally extended by there days when ballots could be counted even though the Constitution gives SOLE right to the state legislatures to determine how Presidential elections should be operated; 234,000 Wisconsin voters per Wisconsin law had to be removed from the voter rolls because they either moved out of state or to another location in Wisconsin and thus had to re-register—none were removed; in 2016 over 6% of absentee ballots in Georgia were discounted for one error or another and yet in 2020 when absentee ballots were almost infinitely more proliferous only 2% of absentee ballots were dismissed—statistically this approaches the impossible; and finally, for years the Democratic Party and MSM said that the 2016 Trump campaign colluded with Russia even though not a SINGLE affidavit was signed upon penalty of perjury testifying to this and yet in the 2020 election over one thousand affidavits were signed upon penalty of perjury testifying to fraud in the 2020 election, including by very high officials like Pam Bondi, former Attorney General of Florida who personally witnessed massive fraud in Philadelphia.
Seems when in 2000, 2004 and 2016 Democrats and the MSM questioned the election results, this was an act of patriotism and fairness. But when Republicans and conservative media outlets question the 2020 election this is evidence of foolishness and even insurrection.
Please, Rarely, try to be as objective as possible and look at all I have just conveyed and so much more, like Dinesh D’Souza’s “2,000 Mules” and Mollie Hemingway’s “Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech and the Democrats Seized Our Elections.”
Oh yeah, wake up.
Rarely says
Wellington.
Trumps closest allies and family carry no weight with you? They had all the “facts” Trump had. Trump’s attorney general calls Trump’s claims of a fraudulent result “bullshit” to his face.
Unbelievable.
We’re to believe Alex Jones I suppose. After all it seems Trump does.
Wellington says
Rarely: First of all, I think Alex Jones is a nut. Here I think we can agree. Yes, he does get many things right but he is also off in Loonland many times. I rarely (excuse the pun) pay attention to him.
As for closest allies and family, no, they don’t carry much weight with me, no one does if they are not in accord with the facts. I provided you many facts, NONE of which you addressed. Start with them if you wish to be serious with me.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
Rarely is convinced that Biden actually won the 2020 US Presidential election.
Since he is still convinced at this point in time, it is unlikely that anything will change his mind…
Wellington says
Thanks for your support in this regard, James. Much appreciated. Much.
Rarely says
James.
Not only I but Trump’s immediate family, his close circle of advisors and supporters, his Attorney-General, the judges in his numerous lawsuits, etc., etc., etc. The accusation (or was it an observation?) that he had lost contact with reality seems to have been given a lot of credence yesterday.
It appears that the Donald just made up a lot of falsities and called upon Alex Jones whose imagination is legendary (if he says “good morning” you automatically know it’s night) to add a few more — maybe even most of them.
Wellington says
Rarely: Would be interested in your “opinion” respecting why and how Hillary Clinton in 2019 on CBS Morning News still stated that Trump became President because of Russian collusion and Jimmy Carter in the same year, two full years into Trump’s Presidency, also stating on NPR (National Propaganda Radio), the same thing, even though no such evidence was ever produced and was actually a way to derail a legally elected President from the get-go by the then decrepit Democratic Party and the, call it what you will, the Deep State, the Swamp, whatever.
My God, man, don’t you realize that the federal government has become a monster? Even Joe Liebermann, as an example, and Gore’s running mate in the 2000 election (the results of which Democrats aplenty refused to accept as they did the 2004 and 2016 election—patriots, eh, as opposed to conservatives questioning the 2020 election?) rhetorically asked what has the federal Department of Education ever accomplished? As the life-long teacher of history I was, I would second Liebermann here. There is NOTHING the stupid Department of Education, which has consumed billions of tax-payer dollars for no good reason, has ever done which has improved education in America. Indeed, the opposite.
Back around 1950 we had 48 laboratory experiments in education in America and they performed far more brilliantly than we do have now. Gettin; any of this, Rarely? I doubt it.
For confirmation of these facts (oh, I think with you facts are optional but I state them nonetheless), read Mollie Hemmingway’s “Rigged,”
Your turn, Rarely. And please, address the facts, not only the 2020 election and objections to it but ALSO Democratic objections to the 2000, 2004 and 2016 elections. Remember, some 70 Democratic politicians “declined” to attend the swearing in of Trump as 45th President on January 20th, 2017. What have you to say about this?. Of do you you, pathetically, have nothing to say about this? But Trump questioning the election of 2020 is beyond the Pale. Right.
I will always take you on, Rarely. I think you sincere, not a bad person, but also highly misinformed. And, as a “suggestion,” ALWAYS take me on with facts, as I have presented you and you have been quite derelict in this regard. Shape up, will ya’?
Rarely says
Wellington.
All that’s fine and good. I have no reason to dispute much of what you have written. In any event it’s extremely difficult, if not impossible, to prove a negative.
I am centering in on what Trump’s inner circle, his family, his campaign manager, and his Attorney-General have said on the record about Trump’s allegation of a “stolen election”. Coincidently his +/- 61 law suits (some before judges he had appointed) attempting to prove fraud all came to nothing.
It may well be that the Democrats’ objections to the earlier elections were taken more seriously and considered “patriotic” — I won’t argue that. The MSM may, and probably does, act prejudicially in favour of the Democrats and the left but that doesn’t account for the actions of loyalists and family close to Trump. They didn’t suddenly become Democrats over night.
Similarly, Trump’s relationship with Alex Jones is well documented and easy to find on the net. To cite the legal term “res ipsa loquitur” – the matter speaks for itself.
Sheila says
I heard nothing in this “investigation” report but hearsay.

‘2000 Mules’ is a film that shows people at 3am stuffing ballots into drop boxes and identifies them and their location through gps tracking.
The NGOs funded by Zuckerberg and Soros used a hundred tricks to steal the election. Some of their people are now confessing.
It will eventually come out bit by bit.

Wellington says
Forget Alex Jones, Rarely. I do. Please, no more smoke screens.
Look at what I have already addressed to you and proceed from there—if you are able. I call upon you to be detailed in your response to me. Again, you did not address one of the many facts I stated. How pathetic—and desperate. Evasion to be sure.
If you are not able, just brushing me off without responding to the SPECIFIC facts I listed, it will only add to the massive skepticism about the 2020 election which, among many other polls, was, per the Rasmussen poll of mid-October of last year, quite revealing of the fact that 56% of those polled thought it “likely” that there was major election fraud in such election and 41% thought it “very likely.”
Rarely, you can dismiss 10% of these numbers—fringe elements only—but you can’t dismiss basically half of America. Are you grasping any of this or do you really want to accept that the man in the basement who couldn’t even draw a hundred people to an event when he left his basement, while Trump garnered tens of thousands, actually got 81 millions votes?
Your turn, that is if you are able. And, once again, no more Alex Jones nonsense. Deal with the facts I presented. After all, and teaching history for a third of a century, I think facts are important. I hope you do too. I fear you don’t. If so, what a damn shame.
Your turn. And, ONCE AGAIN, deal with the facts I presented. If you don’t, then you are not to be taken seriously by anyone, including me.

One thing that VP Harris has in common with Joe Biden is that they are both chronic liars.

‘CONSERVATIVES’ perpetrated the gay nightclub murders? In a sense, it was CONSERVATIVE ISLAM that did it.
Radical Islam is both CONSERVATIVE ISLAM and TRADITIONAL ISLAM.

Kackling Kamala is seriously lost inside her head and its as if her Staff give her words to say, out loud, to the Press, and then she just repeats them as Old Joe does, but she cackles her way through it.
Look up the Book Siddhartha and not far in, Chapter three or so, appears a female character, a high end Whore who manipulates men and her name ?….. Kamala….
Her Father was from Jamaica, her Mother was from India, and this Book is based in India… Coincidence?.
FYI… She aint black…
Infidel says
She ain’t Black in the legal definition of Black in America i.e. descendants of slaves. If one is a Christian refugee from Nigeria who gets US citizenship, that person doesn’t count as African-American b’cos he ain’t descendants of slaves brought to the US from Africa. Similarly, Obama, Kamala ain’t Black by that definition – something that Dr Ben Carson pointed out in 2016 about the former. But in terms of complexion, both her parents are Black – her dad a Jamaican and her mom a Dravidian
James Lincoln says
Infidel,
Surprisingly, I never thought about it in quite that way.
Thanks!
gravenimage says
There is no legal definition of Black here in America.
But it is true that when most people think about Blacks–or African Americans–that they think of the descendants of slaves in the antebellum US, rather than more recent immigrants from Africa, the Caribbean, or Brazil.
And generally Indians (from India) are not considered to be Black here, even if they are very dark-skinned.
