This same fear to speak unpleasant and unwelcome truths prevails the world over. Vishnu Som could just as easily have been articulating the ethos of CNN, the New York Times, MSNBC, the Washington Post, etc.

NDTV (New Delhi Television Ltd) journalist Vishnu Som recently courted controversy after he claimed that speaking about Islamic terrorism can hurt the sentiments of common Muslims.
During a debate hosted by Som on the ongoing Nupur Sharma saga, lawyer and co-panellist Desh Ratan Nigam alleged, “95% of the declared terrorists are from Islam. And 95% of terrorist organisations are from Islam.” He had cited the United Nations to bolster his claims.
“So do we, therefore, typecast everybody who are Muslims (billions of them exist around the world)?” the NDTV journalist defended. “So it is not the BJP that is creating the facts,” Nigam pointed out….
“You can provoke me but that doesn’t mean I can say whatever I want,” Vishnu Som came up with a bizarre defence. The news anchor, who suggested that people must exercise restraint in their speech, also agreed that others however need not do that and can continue to provoke. Essentially saying that it was acceptable for the Muslim panellist to provoke Nupur Sharma and Hindus, however, Nupur Sharma’s comment breached the limits of freedom of expression and speech….
In a typical apologetic tone, the news anchor said, “The moment you say that 95% of terrorists from around the world are Muslims or from Islamic Faith. I don’t know the statistics but even if they are correct but aren’t you doing exactly what we are saying that you should not be doing?”
He added, “You are typecasting an entire Faith. There are billions of Muslims in the world. They are almost all peaceful people…Why make that statement if your intention is not to typecast an entire Faith? It is such a wrong number, sir.”
Som appeared more worried about the potential that ‘data’ might have in stereotyping Muslims than the actual over-arching implications of terrorism. Nigam repeatedly claimed that his numbers were correct and sourced from the United Nations.
“I am sure the number is correct but why say that? Because the moment we say, that is what goes on Twitter,” Som clarified. However, Nigam rebuked, “Then you are running away from facts.”…

I find this somewhat “healthy” for the world peace at large, as we are at least witnessing some discussion on islam (at last) in a far away South Asian country.
Som represents NDTV that is radically left and to see some “admittance” of truth is rather surprising.
More queer is the point raised about the numbers from UN. Politicians from US have expressed apprehensions about the misgivings of islam from time to time, especially during elections. Then you have UK prime minster making all the right noises about islam but doesn’t have the spine or the character to do something about the surreptitious conquest of islam ( which is there for everyone to see and feel). May be he even lacks the will do any good for his country.
These terrorists have taken over the UN and every institution that matters. What is the answer for this dilemma from the elites of West and others who are on the other side of islam or who want see some fresh air flowing?

The answer is that Western governments who still have a spine should declare Islam a threat to democracy and all Sharia compliance in our institutions will henceforth be cancelled, any agitators will be arrested as civil terrorists.
Any Muslims who want to return to their place of origin are encouraged to do so ASAP, be advised it will be a one way trip.

It’s a matter of one side getting to say and do whatever they wish …including, but not limited to, rape and murder…and the other side gets to keep quiet lest the first side goes on a severe anger and temper tantrum and acts on their threats to rape, riot and murder…which will trigger more silence for the second side.
In the U.S.,, this silence is being enforced against those who disagree with the government’s position of whatever subject bobiden and crew decide to take, and since more and more mozlums are getting into government positions….this silence will include not condemning mozlum terrorism, including, but not limited to wife=beating, raping little kids…boy and girl…murder of family members and attacks on those eating pork, or having a drink of water during their unholiest of times.
boy, what a backlash is this silence about the evil that is islam. Everyone better be careful about what we don’t say. After all, isn’t silence “racist”?

A very fair and objective way to define that situation regarding Muslim terrorism in the twenty -first century is to explain that “Not all Muslims are violent jihadists .Nevertheless all violent jihadists are Muslims.

The terms “Radical Islam” and “Moderate Islam” are Western terms that are unknown in the Islamic world.
This is because in “The House of Islam” what Westerner view a “radical’ in Muslims countries such violent jihad-minded Muslims are seen as “devolt Muslims” and peaceful non-jihadist Muslims are understood to be lacks or Muslims who aren’t completely and totally committed to Islam.
As for those two different terms for Islam in the West ,the current President of Turkey ,rightly, understands that those two Western terms to define Islam are balderdash.

First off, it’s because most of them live in majority Muslim countries. Second, if Muslims are offended by this typecasting, then why aren’t those ‘peaceful people’ speaking out against Islamic terrorist groups and doing what they can to stop it?
Numbers 1 and 2 of the countries that are currently engaging in mass killing and which will continue to have a high risk of it are Pakistan and India, respectively.

islam does not inculcate any morality that a Muslim would speak out against crimes/genocide of infidels. They just don’t have any incentive to stop the terrorists. If they had any iota of morality they would be ex-Muslims. Worthless countries like Pakistan and Iran will continue to promote jihad as they do not have any policy that is compatible to jihad. Any nation that has a tag Islamic is a hellhole for mankind, all around he world. I guess the world is already experiencing it.

I think the claim is correct, regardless of whether the UN has said it or not (I think not). List all the non-muslim terrorist organizations you’ve heard of, currently active as well as past (we’ll keep it to this century). Then list all the jihadist organizations that are there, starting w/ al Qaeda

Well, of course you can say it. Most terrorists throughout the world are Muslims. This should be hammered home day in and day out. And what the pathetic weasel of a news anchor says about how almost all Muslims are peaceful people is absolute bullshit. Not if those Muslims have read their Koran with all its vile calls for violence and murder against the hated non-believers. Islam is a fundamentally violent religious ideology. It has always been . It has always spread its garbage through invasion and violent conquest. Most Muslims must surely believe in this idea of violent subjugation and imposing Islam on all the peoples of the world. So they would not be “Peaceful” people at all. They may not act violently but they would believe in imposing islam on everyone and violence is perfectly OK as their method, not peacefully preaching the word.

I find it strange that every time I hear about the statistics of how many muslims there are in the entire World the amount increasingly goes through the roof, now this guys says there are Billions of them.
Speaking with somebody recently who was defending the narrative that not muslms are terrorists, and so I asked this guy then what would be the percentage of muslims who wish to attack us, 50%… No No he replied, 40%, no no he replied so we agreed on 10%, so 10% of One Point Six Billion means you need to fear ONLY 160 Millions muslims World Wide…

Those Muslims who represent that 95% are a vary small number of the Muslim/Islamic population around the world. While we say that there are billions of peaceful muslims in the world who are not terrorist, we DON’t hear anything or see any resistance from those billions of muslims against the Islamic terrorist. What we do see is a fair amount of support to the vary political and terrorist organizations all over the world from the worlds muslim population.
You can’t have it both ways. Example I’am a peace loving white man and member of the KKK, I don’t hurt anyone personally but I do donate to the funds that support violence against others. I’m I innocent? Of course not.
Neither are the Muslim/Islamic populations that are supporting the violence against others.
