Hamas-linked CAIR enraged after San Jose city council rejects mayor’s Qatar trip over Sharia misogyny

Hamas-linked CAIR is demanding that the San Jose City Council now submit to its “education” about Islam, which would be on the order of “Don’t believe your lying eyes, believe our smooth deceptions.” They’re enraged here again that people they thought were reliably Leftist — city council members in a far-Left city in a far-Left state — would be so “Islamophobic” as to notice Sharia misogyny. The Leftist-Islamic alliance is once again showing signs of strain.

The ferociously antisemitic Billoo has called upon Muslims to oppose “even the polite Zionist.”

“CAIR-SFBA Says Islamophobia from San Jose City Council Members ‘Unacceptable,’ Calls for Meeting to Offer Education on Islam,” by Ismail Allison, Hamas-linked CAIR, June 10, 2022:

(SANTA CLARA, CA, 6/10/2022) – The San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA) today condemned Islamophobic rhetoric by San Jose City Council members related to Mayor Sam Liccardo’s planned trip to Qatar. CAIR-SFBA also called for a meeting with City Council members to offer education on Islam.  

Mayor Liccardo’s plans to travel to the Qatari capital of Doha were rejected by the City Council through a 8-3 vote over alleged human rights concerns. The mayor was reportedly invited by authorities in Doha to attend Qatar Foundation’s Environment and Energy Research Institute from 11-13 June to learn about the institute’s water conservation efforts.

Some council members reportedly cited Islam’s legal code, the shariah, in their arguments against the mayor’s trip. One council member reportedly said she would be scared to go to Qatar as a woman. The mayor reportedly said there were elements of Islamic law in Qatar’s legal system indicating the state is unjust.

The city council has previously approved visits to Israel as well as Saudi Arabia, despite human rights allegations from numerous organizations. 

In a statement, CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo said:

“The Islamophobic rhetoric employed by San Jose officials is completely unacceptable. The arguments used against the Mayor’s trip to Qatar contain some of the oldest anti-Muslim tropes in the book, and the fact that the city council claimed to be concerned over human rights abuses while approving visits to serial human rights abusers Israel and Saudi Arabia is deeply hypocritical. 

“We call on city council members and Mayor Liccardo to meet with representatives of our organization and the Muslim community for dialogue and education on Islam and to correct some of the misunderstandings apparent from this incident.”

    They made the right call, and should tell CAIR that they don’t support any country that backs al Qaeda, ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood. They can add that they have nothing against, say, the Emirates or Oman, and therefore they’re not ‘islamophobic’

    • Infidel, San Jose, although not what anyone could consider conservative, is actually far more moderate politically than the other main cities in the region like San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley.

    • Spot on. Qatar’s and Al Shabaab’s puppet in Somalia, Faramajo was deposed as President in May by Sheikh Hassan.
      Faramajo was a US citizen until 2019, and a registered Republican party member.

        Muslims constantly politically oust other Muslims–this is more common in many parts of Dar-al-Islam than is any sort of voting. None of these thugs have any real links to Western democracy, if that is what you are implying.

    the mayor and council should just ignore or tell c.a.i.rats to buzz off. It’s not up to c.a.i.rats to decide where the mayor or others travel on the taxpayer dime.

    what is more, no matter what boohooer might say, it doesn’t change what the government of catar does or will do regarding women and human rights.

      Maha Elgenaidi, founder and innovation director of the Islamic Networks Group, argued some of the claims that rose out of the council were tainted with Islamophobic sentiments, as certain remarks pinned the human rights abuses to Islam or Islamic law (the Shariah), as opposed to “criticising Qatar” or “an unjust government.”

      Elgenaidi said the way in which City Council used Sharia to “describe some of the injustices in Qatar” are not linked to what Islam stands for and therefore it is unfair to blame the Shariah or Islam.

      “My grievance is with the disparagement of Islam, which is directly consequential in impacting the level of hate and discrimination against members of the Muslim American community,” Elgenaidi told San Jose Spotlight.

      She underlined some obtrusive Islamophobic commentary made by Councilmember Arenas claiming she would be “scared to go to Qatar as a woman.”

      Elgenaidi also noted Mayor Liccardo’s statement regarding certain “elements of Islamic law in Qatar’s legal system indicating that is what makes the state unjust.”

      The council conversation exhibited vivid intolerance towards Islam. Elgenaidi said the conversation is a clear indication that the City Council should go through anti-racist training.

      Of course, Councilmember Arenas is *absolutely right* to be scared as woman to go to Qatar or other Gulf states. Western women have been arrested for being rape victims there.

      Then, she excoriates Mayor Liccardo for saying that Qatar has gotten slightly better in recent years. She does not of course think that any curtailing of the horrors of Islam are an improvement.

          To say that Muslims have wrong information is a gross understatement. Don’t they have some commonsense to judge what koran says or what Mohamed did? Can’t they discern what is good or evil? Why is the entire Islamic community labelled terrorists in Myanmar? islam is synonymous with terror/ beheading/bombs et al.

          It is also very true that all jihad apologists are termites and islam itself calls you to be killed or destroyed. Most on JW are not against Muslims but against the evil cult. Your elites are supposed to do the cleaning job but Somehistory does that in his own way. I would also criticize islam for what it is, a murderous/genocidal cult. I guess it is normal for the hatred against the ideology to spill over to those carry out the evil commands of the ideology.

        • come to think of it…flies and gnats land on fresh foods, crawl around and taste before they find something that is in decay…rotting foods, or fecal matter. they stay on this and lay their eggs, which when hatched are *maggots.* Maggots such as these consume the rot, decay, fecal stuff and do a cleanup job the rest of us don’t wish to do…or could do.
          Then, they develop into an insect, but do not go about threatening, using the rot they consumed.

          Verse 7:176 compares unbelievers to “panting dogs” with regard to their idiocy and worthlessness.

          Verse 7:179 says they are like “cattle” only worse.

          Verse 9:28 says the unbelievers are unclean.

          Verse 6:111 says they are ignorant.

          Verse 4:76 says they are helpers of the devil.

          Verse 5:60 even says that Allah transformed Jews of the past into apes and pigs. This is echoed by verses 7:166 and 2:65.
          A hadith (Bukhari 54:524) says that Muhammad believed rats to be “mutated Jews” (also confirmed by Sahih Muslim 7135 and 7136).

          Verses 46:29-35 even say that unbelieving men are worse than the demons who believe in Muhammad.

          According to Islamic law, non-Muslims may be owned as property by Muslims, but – in keeping with Islam’s supremacist message – a fellow Muslim should never be (unless they convert to Islam after they are enslaved).

          Christians and Jews are not considered fully human in Islam. The penalty for killing one of them is limited to one-third of the compensation due for unintentionally killing a Muslim. Muhammad made it clear that a believer cannot be put to death for killing a non-believer, since they are not equal (see Conclusion). Thus, killing kafir is less serious than engaging in a consenting sexual relationship outside of marriage.

    Then, look at Billoo’s claims that concerns over human rights is “Islamophobic”–grotesque.

    Then, calling democratic Israel a human rights abuser is disgustingly false–but no surprise.

The backwardness and misogyny of Islam are in plain view and even praised by Muslims. In most activities of Muslims and in Muslim countries, women are out of sight or standing behind the men.

      • Not all San Jose city council members are leftist–certainly not by the standards of the region here. Then, I don’t think that concern of the vicious treatment of women in Islam is intolerant–not in the way that word is usually used.

    There is a “Book Of Tropes”? Sounds like a candidate for a Netflix series. Has a nice ring to it. Surely, “Islam is a religion of peace”, “Muslim women have rights equal to men”, and, “Islam has nothing to do with female genital mutilation”, can be found there.

    Are the feminists and the, “sexually non-standard”, finally realizing they are jihad targets?

    CAIR just refuses to realize that women’s concerns about Islam are NOT tropes. Jihadist’s actions have screamed so loudly in their ears that they have little choice except believing their eyes. They see the whole world from sexual harassment in France, Germany, and Sweden to how women are treated in Islamic nations.

    Hobnobbing with famous people or government officials will get you into the best parties and nowhere with the citizens, CAIR. This is a free nation. If you really want good relations then stop the damn jihadis before they strike, create equality for Muslim women, and reach out to the lowly citizens instead of playing power politics.

    • CAIR was developed by the Muslim Brotherhood to cultivate a modern ‘image’ for Islam. Unfortunately for CAIR, the REALITY of Islam’s backwardness and misogyny keep poking out from under the large rug under which they have been hidden by CAIR.

      Surely, the leaders and spokesmen at CAIR must occasionally stop themselves in the midst of their lies and ask themselves if it’s worth it to promote a cult that is so VISIBLY BAD and

If the source of the fear is the Islamic texts, the Koran, Hadith and Sunnah then the fear is the rational as what is contained in them makes non Muslims (and Muslims) fearful with the threats of violence and even death if the non believers does not submit and become a Muslim. Tolerance is not acceptable or if it is then one has to be a Dhimmie and pay the Jizya. That to me would be unacceptable and would mean death. So it is a rational fear of Islam and not a phobia!!!!

  8. The “Red Flag” gun laws could be used by, “White Supremists”, to target suspected jihadis since they cause anonymous tips to be investigated. CAIR should consider that such reporting might happen if Muslims decide to protect budding jihadis, instead of reporting them.

In PfanderFilms YouTube video “Shariah is So Cruel that it must remain a Secret!”, Lloyd de Jongh, who has studied Islamic doctrine and sharia-law, recently talked with Jay Smith of an injunction to hide the facts of sharia-law from kafirs: lying to circumvent attempts to stop the spread of Islam is obligatory. From the descriptive summary of this episode: “Lloyd begins this segment by stating that in the West most Muslims know little to nothing about Shariah Law, and that shouldn’t surprise us, since even if they did know they are not permitted to speak to anyone outside of Islam concerning it, because that would damage Islam. And how exactly would it damage Islam? Lloyd suggests that since Shariah law is so cruel and barbarous, especially by people living in the West who are familiar with ‘Judeo-Christian’ inspired law, it would pale in comparison.     It looks like the real ‘kafirs’ (coverers) are at work in trying to mislead non-Muslims again. I hope that enough evidence of “Islam’s legal code” has amassed independently for these councillors to remain undeceived by CAIR’s “dialogue and education on Islam”. It would be even better if they began to suspect duplicity, but that is kind of ‘advanced’ and terribly ‘Islamophobic’!
