As the nation holds its breath waiting to see if the Supreme Court will really overturn Roe v. Wade or if one or more conservative Justices can be intimidated into voting to uphold it, one Leftist evidently decided to try to ensure an outcome he would consider favorable by killing one of the Justices thought to be likely to deep-six Roe: Brett Kavanaugh.
The Washington Post reported Wednesday that “a California man carrying at least one weapon near Brett M. Kavanaugh’s Maryland home has been taken into custody by police after telling officers he wanted to kill the Supreme Court justice, according to people familiar with the investigation.”
This wasn’t just idle talk: the would-be killer had what he needed to do the deed. “The man,” the Post continued, “described to be in his mid-20s, was found to be carrying at least one weapon and burglary tools, these people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.” Loose lips sink ships, however, and the plotter evidently talked to one person too many or was spotted in time: “Police were apparently notified that the person might pose a threat to the justice, but it was not immediately clear who provided the initial tip, these people said. The man apparently did not make it on to Kavanaugh’s property in Montgomery County, but he was stopped on a nearby street, these people said.”
According to the Post, the perpetrator is a diehard Leftist fanatic: “the initial evidence indicates the man was angry about the leaked draft of an opinion by the Supreme Court signaling that the court is preparing to overturn Roe. v. Wade.” He is not only pro-abortion but paradoxically, in favor of gun confiscation as well: he “was also angry over a recent spate of mass shootings.” And really, what better way to express one’s anger at mass shootings than by shooting someone?
This comes just a few weeks after New York Times writer Lindsay Crouse urged Leftists to expand their attempt to intimidate Kavanaugh into compliance by not only protesting at his home but also at the Chevy Chase Club, where Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts are both members.
It also comes after former Biden Dumpster Fire spokesperson Jen Psaki made it clear that the administration wanted protests at Justices’ homes to continue. She said in mid-May: “I know that there is an outrage … about protests that have been peaceful to date and we certainly continue to encourage that outside of judges’ homes.” This followed what Psaki said on May 5 when Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked her: “These activists posted a map with the home addresses of the Supreme Court justices. Is that the sort of thing this President wants?” Psaki responded: “I think the President’s view is that there is a lot of passion.” In other words, the protests were just fine.

When it comes to the gun issue, those who shout the loudest about “control” are the most likely to be out of “control” with one in hand. And most criminally minded people can’t resist talking to others about their evil plans and evil deeds. This is a good thing…sometimes they are stopped, and other times, caught.
And every day, much like the murders in nigeria, someone posts a tirade or rant about everything that will be “lost” if roe goes down. harris is one of the worst offenders, as is pelosi. They know they are spouting lies, but they don’t believe most people will know they are lies, and will act accordingly, as this guy was planning to do.
At a church in Houstin, TX on Sun, three of the immoral undressed while shouting…not the akbar, but other phrases favored by baby-killers…at the same time the congregation was having a service.
They all probably went home and boasted about what they did and plan to do. It’s all very evil. None who oppose them are safe.

In the same way that Muslim perpetrators of violence are labeled “mentally unbalanced” because “Islam cannot be an evil religion, and are therefore sent for counseling rather than incarcerated, so undoubtedly this leftist mafioso will be deemed mentally unbalanced, acting not in accordance with the leftist agenda (which like Islam cannot be an evil ideology), and so he will be relegated to “treatment” and the leftist project will be shielded from needed critique by the media and political establishment. The vast majority of extremists in this country can be found on the Left side of the political spectrum (including many Democrats in Congress) and not on the Right. One of the greatest lies of our time is that “right-wing extremists” are a major threat to America. Exactly the opposite—as here.
And the fact that the bogus and completely inept Biden Administration keeps pushing the contention that it is the Right which is the major source of trouble and not the Left stands as a testimony to the mendacity of Biden himself and all those in his fraudulent administration.
Three great enemies of America out there in the world at large: 1) Leftism here at home; 2) Islam across the world, including here at home; and 3) traditional and dreary authoritarianism as evidenced by such regimes as those of China and Russia.

If anyone doubted your words, there is photo evidence out of LA (the state) where the real “extremists” are on top of a police car while the officers sit inside. the thugs are jumping up and down on the hood and top of the car, as a large crowd watches and cheers.
the people you write so clearly about, are encouraging this kind of lawlessness while condemning anyone who sees a need for self-protection from those same thugs.

A little noted or even realized factor is that when you’re dealing with your standard thugs in America, when questioned and to the extent they are able to provide a coherent response, their “zeitgeist” is entirely rooted in Leftthink—yet something else the MSM avoids mentioning.

I agree, Rarely, that that not all extreme cases are extreme Leftists—but the vast majority are and that has been my point all along here at JW, I believe Robert Spencer’s too, and over many years now—like the turkey stalking Kavanaugh’s home.
And imagine if an extreme Rightist was stalking Kagan’s or Sotomayor’s home. Think the pathetic AG, Merrick Garland, even Biden himself, would react in the same way? Surely you can see a double standard of the most egregious proportions. I certainly hope so.

Damn good point, GreekEmpress. Will be lost on almost all those on the Left. And notice too, that, without exception, all those in support of abortion in virtually every instance were damn lucky their mothers were not pro-abortion in their particular case, something regularly lost on pro-abortion advocates—blindly so so many times and risible if it weren’t so tragic.
And to all people who want Roe v. Wade upheld, which even many Leftist folks like Ginsburg and Tribe ridiculed for being bad law—Ginsburg, to wit, it was a “shaky” decision—and via Tribe, to wit, a “smokescreen”—why do they not see how operative the 10th Amendment is in this matter and still should be no concern per federal matters where one stands on abortion here in America since, per the 10th Amendment, the states should control all “features” respecting this very controversial issue?
I rest my case all the while asserting that the January 1973 decision ranks up there with one of the worst decided Supreme Court cases ever. The 1857 Drew Scott decision comes to mind, as does the Plessy v. Ferguson decision of 1896, as does the extremely destructive Engel v. Vitale decision of 1962, which stupidly abolished a non-denominational, voluntary prayer in the public schools of America—a wretched decision, I would argue, and the very beginning, to the extent one had to pick a beginning, of the decline of American culture.
I stand my ground here and I am actually pro-choice (though just barely) but, whatever, abortion should be a matter for each state to decide through its legislators and not by nine unelected federal justices at the highest level of the judiciary system here in America. And I assert all this as the lawyer that I am.

One thing this story points out vary clearly this PRO-ABORTION person has no problem with killing his fellow man or babies. And yet I would be almost certain he would be against the death penalty for murders.
Go figure that one out.
