Al-Qaeda is enjoying a ‘safe haven’ in Afghanistan under the Taliban, a UN report has warned.
The experts said in the intelligence report to the U.N. Security Council that the country could become a base for international terrorist attacks once again, The Guardian reported.
However, they added neither IS nor al-Qaeda ‘is believed to be capable of mounting international attacks before 2023 at the earliest, regardless of their intent or of whether the Taliban acts to restrain them.’
Nonetheless, it said the presence of IS, al-Qaeda, and ‘many other terrorist groups and fighters on Afghan soil’ is raising concerns in neighboring countries and the wider international community.
Since their takeover of Afghanistan last August as U.S. and NATO forces were in the final stages of their chaotic withdrawal from the country after 20 years, the Taliban ‘have favored loyalty and seniority over competence, and their decision-making has been opaque and inconsistent.’

In the report obtained Thursday, the panel monitoring sanctions against the Taliban said its leaders have appointed 41 men on the U.N. sanctions blacklist to the Cabinet and senior positions.
They have also favored the country’s dominant Pashtun ethnic group, alienating minority communities including ethnic Tajiks and Uzbeks.
The Taliban’s primary concern has been to consolidate control ‘while seeking international recognition, to re-engage with the international financial system and to receive aid in order to deal with the growing economic and humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan,’ the experts said.
‘Since taking power, however, there have been many factors creating internal tensions within the movement, leading to perceptions that the Taliban’s governance has been chaotic, disjointed and prone to reversing policies and going back on promises.’…

If you are Joe Biden you don’t have to remember your lies, especially if you can’t. It also helps if most of the “fact” checking organizations probably don’t even pay attention to what you say anymore using the plausible deniability defense; “We missed that one, completely understandable error and self contradiction made by the President because all our reporters were out sick that day.” Does anybody tell him once in a while that he should always have notes on hand before going before cameras, as well as someone to remind him he has those notes?

It is glaringly obvious that those in charge are out of their depth, they, against all odds, maintain naïve ignorance of what they are dealing with despite mountains of evidence that should have alerted some in the security side of government that an in depth analysis of the problem needs to be done ASAP but somehow never gets any recognition, which shows the abject ineptitude and incompetence in those entrusted to keep us safe.

The reality is just the opposite, al Qaeda has gained a now foothold in the land since the Taliban took over , Which is because of Biden , either he’s completerly incompternt and feeble -minded or treacherously treasonous and totally evil. As most informed people know the “term” al Qaeda ” really means the Arabic words for “The base.
”
So now because of the horrendous terrible policy and politics of Biden concerning Afghanistan , as in quickly and suddenly abandoning that land to the Taliban, therefore giving the Taliban all that land , al Qaeda now has its base back and the jihad entity will use scheme future jihad attacks against the United States and also train its jihadists for future Islamic terror /murder attack in the US.
