Tlaib, Omar, AOC, other Leftists introduce resolution calling Israel’s founding a ‘catastrophe’

The real catastrophe is that there are open supporters of the genocidal “Palestinian” jihad against Israel in the United States House of Representatives.

House members led by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., introduced a resolution Monday calling for U.S. recognition of the “Nakba,” a term meaning “catastrophe” that is typically used by Palestinians to refer to the establishment of the state of Israel.

The resolution was submitted a week and a half after Israeli Independence Day, which coincides with Palestinian commemoration of Nakba Day. It calls for the U.S. to “commemorate the Nakba through official recognition and remembrance,” while claiming that this “refers not only to a historical event but to an ongoing process of Israel’s expropriation of Palestinian land and its dispossession of the Palestinian people that continues to this day.”

“The Palestinian people since the 48 Nakba have been living under oppression and violent racism. Silence + blank checks enables more death and violence,” Tlaib tweeted, referencing the year Israel was created and recognized via a U.N. resolution, and U.S. financial support for the Jewish state.

Tlaib, who is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, submitted the resolution on behalf of herself and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Cori Bush, D-Mo., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., Marie Newman, D-Ill., and Betty McCollum, D-Minn. Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez and Omar are among a group of left-wing Democrats known as the “Squad,” which has often taken anti-Israel positions.

The resolution claims that Palestinians opposed the U.N.’s 1947 recommendation to partition the territory then known as Palestine into two states, one for Arabs and one for Jews. It states that prior to Israel declaring independence on May 14, 1948, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had fled their homes “often after attacks by Zionist militias.” It does not make reference to the use of some of those areas by invading Arab nations to attack Israel….

  1. What rot. If one is anti-Israel, the only truly free polity in all of the Middle East, where Israeli-Arab Muslims have more rights by far than Arab Muslims do in the over twenty Arab countries that exist (does AOC, that useful idiot, know this?), one’s moral compass is broken.

    The larger issue here is how much the moral compass of the ENTIRE Democratic Party has been broken. I would argue that it has been broken a huge amount and one of many reasons why I hope it eventually ceases to exist. Better for America should this occur. Better for Israel. Better for freedom. Better for truth overall.

    • Hispanics and Blacks are switching their vote, out of the Democrat Party. They are catching on that only their vote counts and the actions of the party poorly represent them.

      And what a sad situation for Blacks – Planned Parenthood wants to kill their forming offspring and Biden wants to dilute them out of representation through uncontrolled immigration.

    Nowhere in time or geography has the presence of Islam been anything but a catastrophe. Just ask the dead people.

    • That’s absurd. Islam had a Golden Age while Christianity was in its Dark Age. A great deal of mathematical and scientific achievement came out of that period that we still use today. Did you know that we use the Arabic numeral system?

      Just because Islam is awful today doesn’t mean that we should deny the valuable contributions it’s made historically.

      • Noots here won’t tell us that Islam’s “Golden Age” was really the destruction of great civilizations, especially the Persian, Indian, Byzantine, and what was left of the Roman world.

        The “Arabic numeral system” is actually from India.

        Most noted scholars of this period were either Infidels or else very recent converts to Islam. As soon as Islam fully asserted itself after conquest, that was the end of the “Golden Age”.

        The biggest boost to the Renaissance was the destruction of Constantinople, as scholars and merchants fled West, often bringing books with them, which were then translated into Latin. Quite a loss for the eastern Roman Empire, though–but I’m sure Noots here doesn’t care.

        Want another “Islamic Golden Age”? Easy–let Islam conquer the West. Islam will be able to live off such a rich corpse for at least a couple of centuries before subsiding into its customary apathy, stagnancy, and violence. Personally, I’ll pass.

    And they publicly support the idea that the founding of Israel was a catastrophe!

      And now “Dr. Oz” is neck and neck with sane Republican Dave McCormick in the Republican Senate Primary in Pennsylvania. Scary stuff–if he won he’d be the first Muslim in the Senate. He’s already been screaming about “Islamophobia” because candidate Kathy Barnette dared to say that pedophilia was a bad thing.

      • And, gravenimage, Kathy Barnette, who was trashed by many on the Right like Sean Hannity, spoke the truth about Islam and its “love affair” with pedophilia from its reputed warped founder onwards. Ah, when someone like Hannity cries “Islamophobia,” you know that Islam is winning.

        Oz in the Senate will be an enemy within—and in the Republican Party no less. The parasite which is Islam is on the verge of a new “conquest.” Hope it’s denied. Fear it won’t be.

        • Hannity attempted to downplay the Muslim issue using the “radical Islam” line during one of his evening programs.

        • In the months leading up to the last election there was a major shift in Fox News, the push was on to oust Trump and elect one way or another, the mailin guy.

          Sean Hannity, Fox News, I never listened to Fox News again after election night when they called Arizona long before the fake counting was done. I did see Kathryn Murdoch’s tweets “we did it” and agreeing with CNN there was no election fraud. LOL

        • Yes, Wellington–Islam *is* irrational and for pedophilia. But Oz, like every Muslim apologist, never even addressed the truth of Barnette’s statements. Muslims rely on ignorance of Islam–someone tells the truth about Islam, and decent people just assume that it is too outrageous to be factual.

          And Infidel, you are right about McCormick being pro-trade with China. He is pretty solid on most other matters, though, and still far better than Oz. Hell, if Oz gets the Republican nomination, were I a Pennsylvania resident I’d probably vote for the “progressive” Democrat, as bad as the Republicans losing that Senate seat would be.

          Almost anything is better than having a stealth Muslim in the Senate–bad in itself, and this would almost certainly open the floodgates of Red/Green alliance Muslims to follow, as well. But Oz himself is anything but a decent politician.

          So sorry that President Trump was fooled by him. My guess is that he respects him because he is an entrepreneur–but Oz’s main “product” here will no doubt be Islam itself.

  4. How does this bill in any way improve the quality of life for the people who live in the districts these representatives are supposed to represent? Anyone who came from “Palestine” to live in the U.S. obviously didn’t care enough about “Palestine” to stay there. If you are living in the U.S. (legally) you have a new life and a new home now. If you are a U.S. citizen you should stop thinking of yourself as a “Palestinian.” You are an American. But if you want to wallow in self-pity on a particular day you are free to do so. Take a personal holiday, call in sick to your workplace (if you have a job), and scream and cry all you want if it makes you feel any better. I don’t care. The U.S. has done more than enough just by giving you a home where you can live in freedom. The catastrophe lies in not being able to free your own mind from the past. And since 1948 was nearly 75 years ago it’s a past most of these “Palestinian” did not even experience.

Not to mention that the people of their districts are so up in smoke that they don’t give a rat’s rear end about what they do. But like I note below, by allowing them to dabble in foreign policy, the Dems are doing their credibility amongst our friends and allies long term damage, and reducing the chances of them taking us seriously. There’s a reason that Saudi Arabia, which was in a pissing contest w/ Russia on oil prices 2 years ago, has now taken the side of Moscow in the Russo-Ukraine war, and are willing to work w/ others, such as China, to ensure that the ? does not remain the world’s reserve currency

  5. I never thought the day would dawn when I’d see the greatest country the world has ever know sink to such a depth, and the longer this administration is in office the further down it will go. Corruption has gone through the roof, and now we have this Taliab squad who want nothing less than the total destruction of the Jewish people and of Israel, that’s their agenda, that’s what they really want. It’s the equivalent of having had Nazi’s in your government during the war with Hitler.

    • I doubt this will pass, John–but just its being introduced as a resolution with any support from Infidels is insane.

      Anyone in their districts should write their reps and tell them why this is a bad thing. I hope they listen. I think there will be little support from others in Congress.

      But this is “Lawfare”–it takes the long view, chipping away at civilized Infidel law and replacing it piece by piece with Shari’ah.

      • This particular bill will not pass, as gravenimage says, but it introduces jihad warfare into the Democratic Party. The party is now riven by it. Primaries are now fought between pro-Israel forces and supporters of the Palestine Jihad covertly if not overtly. AOC has threatened to “primary” Chuck Schumer.

By allowing the likes of Ilhan, Rashida, Pramila and others to drive foreign policy in Congress, the Dems are already reducing their credibility, if not that of the US, particularly w/ our friends and allies. Foreign governments who generally get along fine either w/ Republicans or even Dems like Schumer or Pelosi find themselves w/o a partner when the people driving the party’s policies are counterparts to intefadas in their countries – be it Hamas in Israel/’Palestine’ or PFI or AIMIM in India

    President Trump used to be accused of turning all our friends and allies against us. Like most projection accusations made by the Dems, this one turns out to be true about the squad

  10. This proposed legislation is one more initiative of the Palestine Jihad against Israel. It fits into the whole historical pattern of Jihad throughout the history of Islam, as outlined by Bob Spencer in his writings.

  11. It’s just amazing. Members of Congress denouncing the very founding of another country, a close ally yet, many decades ago. Next I fully expect they will create a resolution denouncing the founding of the United States. I can see them doing that in a month or so — just in time for the 4th of July.

    • We can expect anything and everything they can dream up that will condemn all non-mozlums and their land and property must be paid to them , the mozlums, in order for the infidels to keep on living.

  14. Israel is on one of the front lines of the global jihad that uses terror to spread Islamic law, ethos, and governance. What the Palestinians — most of them, currently — seek to establish in place of Israel, is what the Palestinians have established among themselves: a dictatorship. They seek a dictatorship because that is what Islam seeks, an authoritarian/totalitarian theocratic system. That goal is also the source of 95% of the friction between Palestinians and Israel. Islamic culture is profoundly intolerant of other cultures. Dictators cannot tolerate pluralism, democracy, and individual freedom, which means that dictators, especially Islamic ones, cannot tolerate Israel. The Qur’an has many anti-Semitic verses and calls the Jews the greatest enemies of Islam. The core Islamic texts tell how Muhammad presided over the beheading of hundreds of disarmed, captive Jews. The Palestinian-supporting left is asleep to all this or in denial about it. The left thinks that freedom and solidarity must be in conflict and chooses to “limit” freedom so as to increase “solidarity.” But the left’s solidarity is almost always only a state-authoritarian counterfeit of real, freely chosen solidarity. Real solidarity absolutely must be based on individual freedom, not on the state. Conversely, in the long run, individual freedom won’t survive forever unless more people freely, independent of the state, form more communitarian forms of business enterprise, such for example as steward-ownership capitalism brings about. The drive for socialism will never go away. Therefore if we don’t continue to make progress (we are making progress) toward bringing about within our own businesses a decentralized, private, voluntary “socialism” outside the state, then instead we will increasingly have imposed on us a counterfeit socialism, in other words a centralized “socialism” managed by the state, which will continue to creep into our lives and speed the decline of the West.

  15. Sadly these three IDIOTS have a vary narrow and one sides opinion on everything, Destroy Israel and America. They are NOT in office to serve the American people, they serve a foreign ideology and handlers.

    Proves the point that if you get enough muslim migrants in an area they will effect our Government and political system. These migrants are coming into America to take us over and turn us from a christian nation to Islamic rule.

    Just look at what has happened in the UK and Europe with the Muslim/Islamic migration takeover of those countries.
