The simplest paradigm for predicting leftist tactics is understanding that the things they’re accusing you of are the very same things that they have already done or, more likely, are planning to do.
Where do you think they got the idea?
Even as the Jan 6 Committee does its dog and pony show, the Democratic establishment along with its media decided to intimidate the Supreme Court with the unprecedented move of leaking a draft decision allegedly throwing out Roe v. Wade.
Insiders say that it was done by a clerk. That’s probably true, though in today’s environment there are other options. But considering the radical atmosphere in law schools, with speakers being shouted down and intimidated, does anyone really doubt that at least some of the clerks Sotomayor has would scruple at that?
The question of who leaked the document is less relevant than the obvious fact that this was a coordinated response by the Democrats and the media who had narratives, protests, and threats ready to go.
They clearly knew what was coming.
This is exactly what the Jan 6 Committee alleged, that is now playing out with a Democratic establishment staging protests and using inside information to terrorize one of the branches of government.
Where’s the investigation?
Pierre Delecto says
Our institutions are becoming rubble.
somehistory says
Justice Roberts says they are investigating.
already, governors in different states are coming out with the declaration that there will never be a ban in their state. Perhaps, if they never elect a governor and legislature that has a heart.
Oregan, Washington, and others….probably CA, NY, MD, will all keep on with the baby=killing. MD already passed a law to make insurance companies foot the bill…the entire bill, no co-pay, no deductible, no co-insurance…which means all taxpayers who have insurance will be the ones paying.
I hope the draft turns into the real deal…which will mean that many states, TX, Fl, MS, SD, and others will protect the lives of the unborn.
Roberts may never find out, nor reveal, who leaked the draft. Maybe if they find a clerk, snickering in sotomayor’s office as she grins big, they’ll know.

At the moment there is zero, zilch, nil evidence of some leftist, communist, Democrat plot. The leak may simply be from one deranged individual. Of course it would be big news and ALL the news media will certainly jump all over it — each taking its own slant. All pro-abortion and anti-abortion groups may be expected to rally to their respective causes.
To sum up: Not everything you don’t like is a leftist plot.
P.S. The Jan 6th committee is hardly a “dog and pony show”.
Pierre Delecto says
Only so wonderfully convenient.
Then again, one should ponder wheither the prepartum infanticide pitch or the thermonuclear war pitch would provide the greater reward to the Party.
First, last and always, the Party.

A “leak” is not necessarily part of a plot.
Some Dems blindly support their party and the “cause”. Similarly some Reps blindly support the Reps. And some Reps are blindly loyal to Trump.
I guess it all depends which view one takes since the other view is always wrong and sometimes even “evil”.
In any event, the “abortion debate” is now front and center. How it got there is irrelevant.
Pierre Delecto says
How it got there is not relevant? Have you hooked up with the hookah smoking caterpillar?
That doesn’t even rank as cavalier. That is a profound misstatement.

You think there’s more to it than simple leak by one jerk?
Some huge plot I suppose.
LOL
Pierre Delecto says
Btw, please articulate a justification for the mentioned committee, should you consider that possible.

No need. The matter speaks for itself — except to the deaf and blind.

To the suggestible and predisposed.
I’m old enough to remember the HUAC in action. I recall McCarthy smirking like Mussillini. I remember when POWs held in Manchuria “confessed” to US germ warfare.

Pierre,
Not exactly parallel to Jan 6th. In fact not even related.
Skeptical? So you still believe that Jan 6th was a group picnic interrupted by a bunch of ants and the picnickers just panicked.
You must have missed the news coverage.
Pierre Delecto says
“News coverage”?!
LOL!
You got me! How could anyone possibly suggest otherwise. After all, it’s right there on the gnus. Brought to you by Wildebeest Broadcasting, promoter of the stampede of truth. An its Canadian affiliate Bison Dung Reportage Institute bringing you your offal fresh, warm and fragrant.
I hope you have a sense of humor. I’m old and lonely. Sorry.

What happened last night outside SCOTUS, w/ barricades set up, was more of an attempted coup than what happened on January 6th
CogitoErgoSum says
So the Roe vs. Wade decision is about to be aborted. Oh, the irony. Now watch the lefties ramp up their vitriol to new levels of insanity.
Infidel says
I dunno – if a decision has been around for 49 years, is ‘aborted’ the term you’d use when that law is terminated?
In reality, as Somehistory pointed out above, CA, NY, MD will continue to have abortions, and in fact, could experience abortion tourism, as pregnent people from redder states flock there to end their pregnancies. The population exodus that these states had been experiencing may well be reversed, since I’m sure these ex-pregnant people would love to show their thanks to those states by being more generous w/ their taxes
CogitoErgoSum says
True. It’s actually just giving the decision about abortion back to the states. Some states will allow it and others will not. It’s more democratic that way but the lefties will still go crazy because they think most people are too stupid to know what’s good for them. Sometimes I do agree with that way of thinking about people being stupid but it usually only happens when I see a group of lefties “peacefully” protesting by burning things down.
Don McKellar says
It isn’t just about intimidation — which they know works after the 2020 election fraud — it’s about creating a talking point to distract from the complete and total failure of Joe Biden’s “presidency”. There is absolutely no reason to vote Democrat otherwise, if you’re not a complete partisan. And Democrats mostly probably wouldn’t have bothered to vote! But now, every single candidate in every swing district and every talking head on TV is going to go nuts on this issue and not have to address the dotard in the White House who was killing their hopes.
If they have any brains at all in the SCOTUS, if Roberts does, then they will immediately drop everythigng else and fast track this. June is too long.
I have a strong feeling that they’re going to chicken out. They’ve proven themselves cowards in robes. They wouldn’t even stand up for the Constitution in 2020, why would they stand against something unconstitutional with all this left-fascist pressure on them?
CogitoErgoSum says
I look for a new surge of violent protests by the storm troopers of the Left done in the hope of getting at least one of the justices to see things differently. The unspoken justification by the wavering justice will be that it’s better to let Roe vs. Wade stand instead of causing more violence in the streets. Thug tactics from the Left is coming back again in full force until then. It’s the reason for the leak.
Don McKellar says
An accurate prediction of how this plays out, I’d say.

Pierre,
I’m well aware of the dangers. In fact I share many of the views expressed on this site. However, I am just skeptical enough not to have a knee jerk reaction to the complete line which is sometimes just a conspiracy theory in the making.
To some the “left” is always wrong and behind all that is bad and the right is always right and good.
Until proven otherwise I chose to believe that this leak was done by one person (or, at most, a small group). If I’m wrong, I’m wrong and no harm done.

The Abortion Ruling Draft Leak is an Organized Democrat Effort to Intimidate the Supreme Court
…………………
Certainly possible.
somehistory says
some are saying it will get the dems out to vote as they have been uninterested after the debacle of biden., but this will be something that will motivate them.
CogitoErgoSum says
One of the conservative commentators I listened to today (Ben Shapiro I think) made the observation that the Roe vs. Wade decision was made in 1973 by a Supreme Court made up of all old white men. Now in 2022 it looks like that decision may be overturned by a Supreme Court made up of not just white men but a black man and some women also. So yaaay, let’s give a cheer for diversity and inclusion! However, the Democrats are now motivated to find a way to impeach the black man. What a world. What a world.
CogitoErgoSum says
Oh, wait. The first black Supreme Court justice, Thurgood Marshall, was on the Court in 1973. I forgot about him. Apparently a lot of people do.
