Social Media in Light of Classical and Christian Teaching

Mount St. Mary’s University philosophy professor Joshua Hochschild joined show host Andrew E. Harrod in a Conservative Casual Friday interview to discuss how to maintain virtues of mind and spirit in an era of distracting and often superficial social media. Hochschild is the coauthor of the 2017 book A Mind at Peace: Reclaiming an Ordered Soul in the Age of Distraction by Sophia Institute Press. Hochschild discussed issues such as what effects do social media have upon a person’s character and political views and how individuals should control their online behavior in light of Christian and classical teaching, among other matters.
