The Indian hit film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been banned in Singapore by the country’s InfoComm Media Development Authority, on the grounds that it could disturb religious harmony….
The IMDA said that it had consulted with the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the Ministry of Home Affairs, and that they together found the film to have “exceeded the Film Classification Guidelines for its provocative and one-sided portrayal of Muslims and the depictions of Hindus being persecuted in the on-going conflict in Kashmir.
“These representations have the potential to cause enmity between different communities and disrupt social cohesion and religious harmony in Singapore’s multi-racial and multi-religious society.”
Under the Film Classification guidelines, “any material that is denigrating to racial or religious communities in Singapore” will be refused classification….
“The Kashmir Files” was briefly banned in the United Arab Emirates. But the UAE authorities reversed their ban at the end of March and the film was released without cuts from April 7, 2022. New Zealand had to raise the film’s rating from R16 to R18 after concerns were raised by the Muslim community.

I would like to thank Mr. Agnihotri and Mr. Kher for making such an informative movie. It is understandable that moslems will do everything to ensure this movie is banned everywhere. It is is not 1992 anymore where Salman Rushdie’s Satanic Versus was banned and death sentence issued on him by restarted mullahs from Iran.
I would like to buy a BluRay edition of this movie — and that will take a while because neither DVD or BluRay are available on-line. But it is question of time — the truth will prevail and the forces of darkness will be disintegrate.

While I don’t condone this ban, to be fair to Singapore, they have a reputation of being consistent on this matter. Had it been a movie showing Jews or Hindus or anyone else in a particularly bad light – real or unreal, they would have banned that as well
I do hope similar movies are made about other persecuted groups, like Bangladeshi Hindus, Armenians, Paki Christians, Tibetan Buddhists and so on

Amazon has taken down this movie from its web site. Initially, it was showing in Amazon prime video, but now if I search for Kashmir Files on Amazon, only movies made by the bollywood jihadis are showing up.

We have always called Singapore a fine fine country, no matter what you want to do, they will FINE you for doing it….
That movie has no subtitles, they speak Hindi, I have it but cant understand it, though it is very violent..
No doubt if a muslim Director made the same movie but from the opposite point of view, what do you think the reaction of the world would be ?.
muslims cant deal with truthful matters as it upsets their wee feeeelings…

The movie, as released in the US, does have subtitles. Also, according to David Wood, he didn’t have difficulty following the movie even w/o the subtitles

Also, like I noted above, Singapore is an equal opportunity censor: had a Christian or Buddhist or Hindu or Jewish group complained about any movie, they’d have clamped down on that as well. Not perfect, but not quite the dhimmi as other countries are

Agreed, a dhimmi of a different kind, is better than pussy-putting with fascist cults. Why not change the goal post and focus on Truth? Alternatively, that country should allow views of all sides, in a decent way and without threats. In the long run Singaporean elites should consider giving more weightage to the Truth. That might be a pipe dream.

When they were expelled from Malaysia, Singapore should have responded by removing its entire Malay population, and keeping only its Chinese and Tamil citizens. Then they wouldn’t have been in this predicament
