Russian state TV threatens ‘nuclear tsunami’ wiping out UK

British authorities are clearly not taking these threats seriously, as they’re going ahead with their military aid to Ukraine. Whether or not the threats are serious, however, well, we shall see.

Russian state television has issued a strong warning that the Kremlin could wipe out the UK with the push of a button for supporting Ukraine.

In his Sunday evening primetime show, Channel One anchor Dmitry Kiselyov told viewers Russia’s underwater Poseidon missile had the capability to spark a 500-metre radioactive tsunami that would wipe out the UK.

The Poseidon is an autonomous, nuclear-powered unmanned underwater missile approximately 20 metres long and weighing up to 100 metric tons.

“The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo close to Britain’s coastline will cause a giant tsunami wave, up to 500 metres high,” Kiselyov said.

“This wave also carries extreme doses of radiation. Having passed over Britain, it will leave what is left of them in a radioactive desert, unfit for anything for a long time.”

The threat comes as Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to announce a new NZ$580 million package of military aid to Ukraine when he addresses Ukraine parliament on Tuesday local time (Wednesday NZT)….

    • Yes he Patrushev is a KGB monster but if Putin die which is very possible, then there will be a fight among thePutin´s KGB men and it may help some persons who CAN be better.
      Besides, the Russian methods brutally killing r/and poisoning people so Patrushev can be probably the first to “die under strange circumcstances”

    • Credit to the MAD doctrine and the relative balance of power Soviet/USA, destabilised by North Korea, Pakistan & soon Iran.

      Do Putin and his cronies really think an attack on any other nuclear power will not result in full retaliation?

  6. As much as I disliked Jeremy Corbyn, I’d rather he was running the country at the moment. Boris Johnson is playing russian roulette with lives of every man , woman and child living here.

    • Gotta’ disagree with you here, john smith, rare as that is. One cannot alleviate the tyranny of Putin by caving in to his many ignorant and malicious demands. BoJo here is not the problem. Putin is. I think you’re blaming the potential victim and not the true culprit.

      No big fan of Boris Johnson, as I know you aren’t either, but Corbyn is a “fully-cave” mode kind of guy and would insouciantly sacrifice literally millions of Ukrainian lives to appease the tyrant in Moscow, which tyrant has ended, destroyed or horribly altered the lives of literally millions of Ukrainians. (N.B., NATO expansion, I would argue, proves the value of such expansion in light of what Putin has unleashed, but even assuming NATO expansion was wrong, it pales, utterly pales, in comparison to what Putin has done—besides, not a single Russian or a single Russian city, town or village has been ended or destroyed by NATO expansion).

      The tyrant in Moscow must be opposed. If not, he will (guaranteed) be even more emboldened as long as his putrid life continues in an attempt to reconstruct the Evil Empire, i.e., the USSR, whose demise he himself has called “the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century.”

      Putin needs to go and Russia needs to wise up. The former is inevitable; the latter is still questionable.

    • John, Jeremy Corbyn was not just pro-Islam but actually *pro-Jihad*. Not sure how his being in power would be a good thing.

      And it you are saying that Britain should bow to Russian aggression, perhaps the model you are thinking of is Neville Chamberlain more than any other British Prime minister.

        Things have changed a lot since the days of Chamberlain, I personally would like Boris to take a step back. Instead it seems as if he is goading putin to attack us, and knowing how evil putin is he may well do it.

        • Well, Boris Johnson *has* called this “Ukraine’s finest hour”. That hardly seems to be a goad calling for nuking Britain. Of course, Putin may feel differently…

          He has also said that Russia can still withdraw from Ukraine.

          I haven’t seen anything specific from Russia on why they consider nuking the UK and Ireland warranted.

  8. Russia is not evil…U.K. is evil and is run by Freemasons…. the U.K. think they are angels free of every sin, yet they swim in the black tar of sin and what they have done, they have a lot to answer for, when they stand before the true God.

  9. My greater fear is that Iran, if given the opportunity to develop a nuclear weapon, will also start the same type of saber rattling.

    Iran, however, is even more unpredictable than Russia.

  11. My question is what’s WRONG with these countries leaders, that make them want to KILL millions of people including their own over their personal ego? Just what the hell will they gain? If it’s respect they want, they should try doing something that will actually gain them respect by improving the lives of the people in their country or the world, not destroying it. What kind of person gets up in the morning thinking they should murder millions of people so they can feel powerful? “CRIMINALS” or “CRAZIES”.

    Probably phrased myself wrongly here, as I’m no fan of Boris but I can’t stand Jeremy Corbyn, It’s just that I’d feel a bit safer if we had a pacifist running the country at the moment.
    I’d feel the same way as you and Gravenimage if I was living in the US, but I’m not I’m living in the country that putin has hinted twice in the past week, he will nuke. Boris should be taking these threats more seriously because I am.
    Instead he is playing a leading roll in rubbing up putin the wrong way, it would only take one push of the button and the UK would be no more.You might feel the same as me if you were living here.

    • John, with all respect, Corbyn is not exactly a pacifist. He has supported Jihad terror against Israel. And bizarrely, he says that NATO should be scrapped even after Russia invaded Ukraine.

      Then, while Russia has not–so far–directly threatened to nuke the US, if–God forbid!–the UK were nuked the US would fight by her side. So the US would be next on the list if Putin is really this unhinged.
