New in PJ Media:
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas made the rounds of the talking head shows on Sunday to do some damage control and address concerns that the Biden administration’s new Disinformation Governance Board within the Department of Homeland Security signifies an all-out war against the freedom of speech. Those concerns were only exacerbated by the revelation that the chief of Old Joe’s Thought Police, Nina Jankowicz, is an enthusiastic fascist who is so excited about censorship that she sings musical comedy numbers about it in an affected English accent. Mayorkas, however, is telling us now that there is really nothing, nothing whatsoever, to worry about. But his soothing claims show some signs of being yet more of that disinformation he claims he wants to fight.
We’ve already gotten disinformation about the Disinformation Governance Board. Jen Psaki claimed Friday that it wasn’t the sainted President Dementia at all, but the hated Trump, who set up the Board. There doesn’t appear to be a shred of truth to this, as even Mayorkas had announced the Board as “new,” and on Sunday, CNN’s Dana Bash asked Mayorkas, “Would you be okay if Donald Trump were president, if he created this Disinformation Governance Board or if it is in place in 2024, that he’s in charge of such a thing?” Mayorkas didn’t echo Psaki and answer that Trump had actually created the Board. Instead, he insisted “that we’re safeguarding the right of free speech, that we’re safeguarding civil liberties.” Sure they are.
Despite working for CNN, Bash actually acted like a real journalist, pursuing Mayorkas about some of the principal problems with the Board. “It’s still not clear to me,” she said, “how this governance board will act and what will it do.” Good point. It’s not clear to anyone. And all Mayorkas could offer in answering this all-important question was windy generalities: “So what it does is it works to ensure that the way in which we address threats, the connectivity between threats and acts of violence, are addressed without infringing on free speech, protecting civil rights and civil liberties, the right of privacy.”
Sure. It was reminiscent of how politicians always promise that the government will magically do all manner of wonderful things for us while simultaneously lowering our taxes. Mayorkas is a similar kind of magician: he’ll stamp out alleged disinformation while protecting the freedom of speech. A regular Houdini.
Bash then asked Mayorkas: “Will American citizens be monitored?” His answer was unequivocal and reassuring: “No. The board does not have any operational authority or capability. What it will do is gather together best practices in addressing the threat of disinformation from foreign state adversaries from the cartels and disseminate those best practices to the operators that have been executing in addressing this threat for years.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

“Trusted” agency heads who lied to Congress and citizens: Comey, Brenner, Clapper. Mayorkas?
“The board does not have any operational authority or capability.” We’ll just refer the info to spook agencies who will do the dirty work for us. We adhere to the sainted operating principles: CYA, PD( plausible deniability), and when they find out IWBH and YWBH(I won’t be here and you won’t be here).

Last night, I listened to the Twilight Zone Radio. The original shows made into radio programs and posted to the web. One episode was about a writer whose next book was to be about alien abductions. He got way too close to the Truth and was tricked into being captured by the aliens. He asked, while he still had his mental capacity, ‘why” they were pretending to look for evidence of alien activity. The head alien, playing the role of psychologist, answered, “The best way to conceal the truth is by pretending to seek it.”
This “board” is to intimidate first of all. We all know about it now, and the things they will be “seeking”…so we are supposed to begin trembling in our shoes and stop telling the truth…about anything they mentioned, such as covid, elections, russia, immigration,
they are pretending to be all for “free speech” and “truth” and so are pretending to “seek” these and work for these.
I am not buying into their falsehoods. I’ve never liked liars and I don’t intend doing so now.

I try not to stoop to this level, but Alejandro Mayorkas is a smug, arrogant asshole.
Yes, Congress should have fixed the ‘broken immigration system’ long ago, but it’s not going to do so before rescinding Title 42 creates a completely uncontrollable invasion of illegal aliens at our southern border.
The plan he’s offered just processes them into the country more quickly.

(How sweet, about not infringing on free speech, civil rights, and civil liberties, and HA! The right of privacy,,,what a joke that is! That may be a joke, but all the articles that I have archived/collected, and placed in a folder in my Bookmarks (with copy on an external drive)over MANY years on that subject, would say AND would SHOW differently!!! )
(I really should of went to college, because when I read that top sentence, over and over, it just seems to be so much gobblity gook! I read it as slow as I can, and I’m not seeing it have any meaning, whatsoever!…
“It works to ensure” (what works, and ensure’s what?)
that the way in which we address threats,
are addressed (the way we address threats, are addressed??…HUh?? NO MENTION OF HOW!??) without infringing on free speech, protecting civil rights and civil liberties, the right of privacy.” (I’m totally lost!)
I would take this article apart, piece by piece, but I’m afraid my head would explode!! Maybe that was the intent with this, gobblity gook, anyway…..
