The U.S. government has concealed the evidence of this for years, but some of it has been known. You can read about the Saudi connections to 9/11 in The History of Jihad. But the Saudis were never held accountable; instead, president after president denied their involvement. This story has still not been fully told.

Numerous Saudi individuals were involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and the question of whether the Saudi Arabian government had any involvement is debated. Successive US presidents have cited the commission’s report in official statements as proof that “Saudi Arabia had nothing to do with this terrible crime.” However, new declassified FBI documents suggest that Omar al-Bayoumi was being paid by Saudi intelligence. Bayoumi met two of the 9/11 hijackers before the attack.

I can’t read the memo, but I recall Saudi involvement being excused by Washington. We were supposed to believe the funders of groups like al Qaeda were independent actors, with no connection to the Saudi government. Everyone averted their eyes to the truth, rather than be forced to make difficult decisions.
It was similar to what happened in Iran. We were told the Iranians were radicals and that the other Muslims (Saudi, Egyptian) were mainstream and didn’t think the same way about jihad. Then when the Saudis did it, we were told it was some Saudis but not all, and certainly not the government. Talk about entangling alliances!

“Perhaps the most despicable of the American traitors who curry favor with the Saudis are the lawyers and lobbying firms that the Saudis have retained to fight the lawsuits of the 9/11 families….” as well as covering up other ongoing Saudi crimes in the US, and lobbying for Saudi interests in Washington. These firms include Brownstein Hyatt Farber and Schreck, the Podesta group, Squire, Patton and Boggs, MSL group, Flywheel government solutions, BRG group and many other politically connected, respected and influential firms in 31 states. While these firms are well paid filthy Saudi money for their their treason, the firms have understandably sought to avoid exposure of the same and most of the media has gone along. Perhaps it is time to “traitor shame” these “respectable firms.”

Current US-Saudi relations are pretty bad, but the next GOP administration that comes to power, the president – be it Trump or Ron DeSantis or anyone else – should ask MBS to extradite to US anyone in their government – including royal family members – who were involved in that plot. Heck, it might strengthen the hands of MBS in dealing w/ his remaining enemies like Alaweed bin Talal

Our current political leadership cutting oil production in the United States and purchasing oil from Saudi Arabia is screwing Americans for the benefit of a foreign country who wants to destroy our country and economy.

They may have been using Afghanistan, but Pakistan was where most of the 9/11 plotters and initial al Qaeda leaders were captured. That too – not in their so called ‘Wild West’ of Waziristan – but in their major cities – Karachi, Multan, Faizalabad, Gujranwala. All major cities in Pakistan
I’d partly agree w/ Daniel and say that we should have picked Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, rather than Iraq and Afghanistan, to pummel. As President Trump argued in 2016, we should then have seized the oil to cover our expenses in the war
