New ‘domestic terrorism’ bill supposedly targets white supremacists and neo-Nazis

The problem with this bill is that it is increasingly common for Leftists, including high-level members of the political and media establishment, to call all those who oppose the Leftist agenda “white supremacists” and “neo-Nazis,” including law-abiding Americans who abhor racism and fascism and are simply standing against Communist indoctrination, transgender delusions, and other lies foisted upon us from above these days.

Three federal agencies would be tasked with rooting out domestic terrorism threats within the government and across the US under a bill slated for a House vote Wednesday.

The measure (H.R. 350) would authorize domestic terrorism offices within the Department of Homeland Security, the Justice Department, and the FBI. It would also require officials to assess White supremacist and neo-Nazi threats in the US and inside agencies.

The May 14 mass shooting of mostly Black victims at a Buffalo, N.Y., grocery store prompted renewed urgency for passing the bill after lawmakers scrapped plans for a floor vote last month.

Similar legislation (S. 963) is pending in the Senate but may face challenges if Republicans in that chamber take up their House colleagues’ complaints that the bill would allow federal officials to target everyday people as potential threats for speaking out about issues such as Covid-19 and school policies. Senate Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), the bill’s sponsor, said Monday that his panel will hold a hearing on the bill.

House bill sponsor Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) acknowledged that Republicans’ complaints about potential federal overreach have weighed heavily in the House but said Democrats would try to return focus to the bill’s purpose does during floor debate….

The House bill has also created friction on the left, with some groups, including the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, lauding it as a way to counter domestic terrorism without profiling racial and religious minorities. The [Hamas-linked — ed.] Council on American-Islamic Relations and others argued last month that agencies would inevitably use new authorities to target marginalized communities.

Bill supporters aimed to address those concerns this week through an amendment that tweaked the definition of domestic terrorism and added a section on First Amendment protections. CAIR, Defending Rights & Dissent, and other groups on Monday said they appreciated the changes and would no longer push lawmakers to vote no….

DOJ, DHS, and the FBI already have teams that investigate domestic terrorism. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the three agencies would need more than 100 new analysts, agents, lawyers, and support staff to address the bill’s requirements.

  1. They should be focusing on mental health and ways to identify the criminally insane so lunatics can be stopped before they kill a bunch of people. Look at all the attacks by Muslims that are attributed to mental illness. This killer in Buffalo is mentally ill too. He is not part of any group of Nazis or the KKK. But what am I saying? It’s like talking to a brick wall. The people running this country are mentally ill too.

      • Yes, there is hardly any attention being paid to the signs of mental illness this shooter displayed. Most of the media is focused on his visits to the “dark corners of the internet.” He was and is mentally ill. There were people, including his teachers at school, who knew this and nothing was done about it. He was even allowed to buy a gun. The solution is not going to be getting rid of guns. The solution lies in how to get mentally ill people the help they need before they start killing people. It’s very odd how mental illness is the first thing that comes up in the media when a Muslim or a black person is the killer but if the killer is white the first thing that is mentioned is “White Supremacist terrorism.”

        • well, they have determined that Whites are the only group that can be racists and mozlums are a ‘race’, so that moves us along to being the only ones who can just be bad outright. Others have problems….abuse, poverty, ugly-duckling syndrome, not enough affection, too much t.v….whatever they can dream up…that Whites never suffer.

          and we are not supposed to notice the double-standard of excusing their horrific attacks with mental illness, and never that with a White…we are just evil.

          Muslim kills: due to mental illness.

          Black kills: due to mental illness.

          White kills: due to “White Supremacist” terrorism.

    • We don’t need depraved, demonic lunatics in the government and bureaucracy deciding who’s a “lunatic” and who’s not.

      These sick freaks cannot even differentiate between male and female.

      Just as we don’t need their Ministry of Truth nor their other subversive alphabet agencies.

      At some point the sick freaks infested the government and crowned themselves rulers of a polyarchy.

  2. Why aren’t Whites wearing ankle bracelets? What’s wrong with microphones and body cameras under real time monitoring, so the authorities needn’t be surprised? Regular polygraphs are something the innocent should welcome. Technically they may not have done much [ proveable ] just yet, but let us heed the voice of prudence, and provide the assistance of a career parole officer, for surprise visits with comprehensive review of correspondence, computer files, photo albums, diaries. Just to be assured nothing big slips past.

    They are only going to be as extreme as we let them. It’s for their own good.

  3. What about Black and/or Muslim supremacists?
    Wisconsin Christmas parade killer and Brooklyn subway shooter come to mind. How about a task force to investigate them? Oh wait—I forgot—
    that’s racist. ?

  4. Glenn Beck read a portion of the shooter’s manifesto a couple of days ago. Far from being like those they will ‘target’…this guy said he was a “communist” and then ‘moved right, and became more of a totalitarian,’ and he wanted his use of a gun to cause the government to “make more gun laws.”

    Kind’a gives an idea of just who will get the bullseye painting and it won’t be mozlums…not if the c.a.i.rats are no longer complaining.

    Sen. Ron Johnson is being accused of spreading the “replacement theory” because he criticized the things happening at the border. This is what they will be looking for in the rest of us.

  5. So it targets just white supremacists and neo nazi’s? ok, first that is unconstitutional, but second, how is this going to work when the Democrats already will not prosecute these racists in their party already? or for that matter ANY criminals activity in their party?

  7. It is amazing how fast the congress can come up with these 10,000 page bills that spend billions of tax dollars overnight but have’t been able to fix the IMMIGRATION LAWS in 40 years. I guess there is no priority in controlling who or what comes across our borders and into our neighborhoods.

    I’ve lived and been all over America in my life 79yrs. and have never meet a true White Supremacists or NEO-NAZI. I’ve heard and read in the news about a handful of them, but they all seem to be the exception and then there were some radical Black Groups and Anti-Vietnam war protestors that rioted and shot up and bombed our cities. I don’t recall any white Supremacist groups or Neo-Nazi groups doing that, only a few individuals. What about ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter and the destruction and violence they did, why do they get a free pass on burning neighborhoods and hurting other citizens?

    Funny how our leaders can pick and choose what laws to enforce and who gets prosecuted for breaking the law or NOT.
