Leftist insanity — from the institutional grooming of kids into transgenderism (without parental consent and sometimes without even parental knowledge) to forced vaccinations while screaming “my body, my choice” — knows no boundaries. And science hasn’t escaped Leftist madness, either.
Most rational people would believe that NASA is wasting money on a preposterous idea that was drummed up by a very bored Leftist. More concerning is whether NASA actually believes that this might succeed, and if so, what plans they might have next.
NASA has been drifting into Leftist irrationalism. Its global warming agenda has now given rise to a play and learn Climate Kids program “targeting upper-elementary-aged children.” This is the same Leftist-driven global climate change leadership that tragically manipulated Greta Thunberg to advance an extreme view, especially to youngsters, that “global warming” is the fault of humans, their overpopulation, and capitalist greed.
Leftist madness has managed to seep into the uppermost ranks of every domain.
“NASA to send naked pictures of humans to space in hope of attracting aliens,” WION, May 4, 2022:
In the hope of grabbing the attention of aliens, NASA scientists are planning to send naked pictures of humans into space.
The scientists believe that a proper contact can be established with another life form, which has been tried and failed for 150 years, by sending a pixelated illustration of a naked woman and man waving “hello”, in an attempt to look inviting.
The move is part of a project called the ‘Beacon in the Galaxy’ (BITG) which aims to send a message to other space civilisations inviting them to contact humans.
Apart from the pixelated illustrations, the scientists have also included a portrayal of gravity and DNA.
The scientists believe a binary-coded message is most likely to be understood by aliens.
“Though the concept of mathematics in human terms is potentially unrecognizable to extra-terrestrial intelligence, binary is likely universal across all intelligence,” the scientists said in their official project document…..
revereridesagain says
Send them human women. You all don’t care who we’re made pregnant by. In Texas, alien rapists are as honored as any other kind.
gravenimage says
Rape is *illegal* in Texas. I know you keep claiming that this is not so, but this is dishonest.
Pierre Delecto says
I’m suing for the abdominal convulsions and subsequent bruising as I fell to the floor in laughter.
tim gallagher says
I agree, Pierre. It certainly gave me a laugh. Is it April Fools Day in May? There must be some people at NASA who have drunk the Kool Aid or are as drunk as skunks to come up with this stuff.
Niemoller says
Provoking unknown aliens is the extraterrestrial equivalent of a small child jumping into a Florida swamp to look for baby alligators and without a plan if a big one is found instead.
CogitoErgoSum says
Yes, it could be that there is something in the universe that swats down emerging intelligent life once it reaches a certain point and that’s the reason we have not detected signs of intelligent life ourselves. Other civilizations may have been destroyed (or subdued) or else maybe they just have enough intelligence to know that staying quiet is the smart thing to do. Nevertheless, I am more worried about Putin and Biden setting off a nuclear war than I am aliens knowing how we look naked. I think we are more likely to be destroyed by our own stupidity than by intelligent beings from another planet – and our stumbling around in the dark this way may be an act of stupidity.
Fitna says
Great points Niemoller and CES,
If there are advanced evil aliens, they probably already know we’re here, since our radio bubble has been travelling for 60 years or more since radio/tv were invented.
But it’s best to lay low since they could seek to take us out if they feel we’ll be a threat to them in the future.
As CES pointed out, we’re more likely to wipe ourselves out. I think Putin is capable of anything including using nukes. In a massive exchange we’re all going to suffer and possibly die.
The West should be on greater alert now to stop Iran, NK, Pakistan and Russia from getting or using the nukes they have.
Westman says
Gretta Thunberg: “How dare you!”
Kamala Harris: “How dare they!”
Plagiarism?
CogitoErgoSum says
Ha! It’s something that’s said by a person who can’t think of anything better to say. Yelling an obscenity is usually what comes to a blank mind first but “How dare you!” is a close second.

well they both have 2 things in common they are or behave like children.

I think this might be what it looks like – an updated version of a picture that was aboard a spacecraft that left our solar system years ago. (Now don’t be judgmental.)

Treereen says
Naaah! Are you sure that’s authentic? Why hasn’t the guy got that type of disagreeably looking long beard, a lecherous grin, a hat that looks like a small version of a Chihuahua’s bed, knee-length robes and an AK-47 strapped to his back? Also, the women aren’t chained up or wailing and there are no blown up buildings or plumes of oil field smoke in the background. A dead giveaway fake!
CogitoErgoSum says
No, indeed!
gravenimage says
Very funny, CogitoErgoSum.
somehistory says
If there are “aliens” in space, as opposed to those coming across the border, and they decide to visit, will they be given green cards and allowed to vote? Or will it be as in the movies…the alien comes to give help to mankind, and he’s killed straight away?
somehistory says
they better watch out…using the word “binary”…they may be accused of being “racist” and “bigoted” and whatever else those people who propagate the false ideas about what people are, might call them.

who came up with this the lgb alphabet soup movement whose goal seems do it with anything any opening any age, any species so et would fit there ideals. et might have different ideas
its possable somethings out there but doubtful there coming to visit

Imagine the debate if pictures of clothed humans were sent to space to attract aliens. Kilts? Saris? Jeans? Gowns? It would be endless.
Now the only debate will be which race(s) and which body types to display.
Clearly not a leftist plan unless consideration is given to same sex couples, bi-sexuals, transgendered people, etc.
Will there be a suggestion box?
CogitoErgoSum says
Yeah, if too many pictures of one style of clothing were sent out it would totally be due to racism. Better just to make the people in the pictures naked – and faceless and colorless – because space aliens care about stuff like not hurting anybody’s feelings.
CogitoErgoSum says
If we really want a response back we should just send out pictures of cats or dogs or rabbits – because who can resist a picture of a cute little kitten or puppy or bunny? Imagine getting back a big thumbs up sign – if the space aliens have thumbs! Oh wait! But they must have thumbs or else they would not be able to build sophisticated space communication technology like ours in the first place. Yep, I would go with pics of cute little furry creatures.
Rarely says
Must include pictures of a “cute” sheep in case they have shepherds.
No harm trying the sex angle while they’re at it.
CogitoErgoSum says
I’m afraid I’m going to have to think a little more about that one.
Treereen says
We’d get pictures and videos of Tribbles back…. And an ensuing world crisis because someone, somewhere promised to be Tribble-responsible and failed, badly.
I cling on to hope poison would work.
Rarely says
Any pictures trying to show aliens who we are and what human beings look like (in whatever format) would necessarily have to be naked. It has absolutely nothing, nada, nil to do with the left-right narrative.
The basic idea, of course, is pretty far-fetched but, since we are sending all sorts of info into the far off reaches of space hoping for contact, sending this stuff can’t hurt.
I still don’t see it as “leftist” insanity.
CogitoErgoSum says
Of course not.
gravenimage says
I think Rarely is right. It would be hard to consider NASA in 1972 to have been particularly leftist.
CogitoErgoSum says
Actually, to be fair we should designate a day and time for everybody to stand outside in an open space and look up at the sky while a satellites takes a picture of the entire Earth, well two pictures, one for each side of the Earth. That would be the right thing to do.
I am really loving this topic and having way too much fun thinking about it. OMG!
Rarely says
Don’t forget to say “cheese”.
Infidel says
Maybe send pictures out of Starwars – the first couple in the series?
James Lincoln says
Since this idea of sending pictures of naked humans to outer space was undoubtedly dreamed up by a NASA Leftist, perhaps send pictures of prominent Leftists for consistency.
How’s about:
Stacy Abrams
Hillary Clinton
Nancy Pelosi
Maxine Waters
Anthony Weiner
Etc…
Guaranteed the aliens will never invade us.
CogitoErgoSum says
Or maybe they already have (music plays that goes dum, dum, dummmmm) and those people are not who (or what) you think they are (theme from Twilight Zone plays).
Rarely says
JL.
Since EVERY insane idea must be from a leftist if we accept this idea as “insane” it must have come from a leftist. That seems to be your logic. Makes for the simplest form of Venn diagram but is otherwise idiotic in itself.
CogitoErgoSum says
Rarely, wait, so you think sending pictures of naked humans into space is insane?
somehistory says
remember when “bo” told NASA to make mozlums feel good by giving them the credit for any accomplishments? It’s kind of common for mozlums to want their females to remain covered, but they have a history of wanting slaves to be, at least, half nude.
Perhaps this is a mozlum idea because to send the pics, they would have to see them and choose the ones to send.
The average sane person is not going to think up something so crude, that would “attract” creatures that no one here can even know anything about…if there are some, they could be awful or they could be very modest and not want to see nudity from strange creatures.
Rarely says
CES
The article and JL suggest it’s insane not me. I’m merely commenting on JL’s logic in concluding it had to be the idea of some leftist.
CogitoErgoSum says
Okay.
James Lincoln says
Rarely,
I think you’re right on this one – it’s impossible to tell if this came from a Leftist, however I am suspicious.
I trained at NASA in the early 1990s as a flight surgeon in support of space shuttle operations. The culture, at the time, was pretty conservative.
Since that time, I have learned from inside reliable sources, that NASA has become woke and politically correct.
Thus my “suspicions”.
gravenimage says
James, you must be familiar with the images sent out with Pioneer 10 fifty years ago. This is not actually anything new.
James Lincoln says
You are correct, gravenimage – and Rarely had a good point.
Thanks for reminding me about the plaque:

gravenimage says
Thanks for that link, James.
Treereen says
I think, what really saves us from green-glowing-eyed, rapacious, water-harvesting, invisible, blood-sucking, body-snatching aliens with tentacles, seven heads and four arses is that there aren’t any.
There never were any, despite what Erich von Däniken and his ilk may have claimed.
It’s also interesting to note that most UFO sightings and alien abductions occur in the very country that has been pumping “ALIENS!!! ALIENS!!! ALIENS!!!” out via movies and other media on an industrial scale for over 7 decades.
It’s only a blessing that these “scientists” can send this “human civilisation embarrassment” out *only* at the speed of light. If there were civilisations operating on even remotely similar principles but higher development level to ours within 1000 light years then we would have noticed them by now. They could have tera-structures to harvest energy or orbital habitats, artificially altering the light coming from their stars.
Obviously, nobody in the universe has mastered FTL travel or by now we would have seen UFOs that haven’t been launched from the video memory of a desktop computer’s graphics adapter and hoaxer’s limited imagination.
CogitoErgoSum says
Well, you forget that if these space aliens could master faster than light travel they could also master invisibility. They may also be able to astral project their minds into the bodies of other creatures and use them for their own purposes. They may also be able to travel through time both backwards and forward or they may be able to travel between the infinity of multiverses There are so many possibilities. (I love sci-fi).
Rarely says
Maybe they just self-identify as aliens. After all my broken down old car self-identifies as a 2022 Porsche.
CogitoErgoSum says
Yes, or maybe they are like Transformers who can be cars who can talk to us through the car radio if we could only understand them, speaking of which I never could understand why the old tv show, “My Mother the Car” wasn’t a big hit. In a different time and a different universe it’s still going strong, perhaps.
Treereen says
And a civilisation or civilisations that can do all that have nothing better to do on Saturday night than piddle about getting those ugly-bags-of-mostly-water on Earth unduly excited? I’d think, being very advanced and all that, they’d be past the cosmic “magnifying glass and ants” or astral “pulling wings off a fly” stage and treat us like “an endangered conservation area”.
Maybe, in the multiverse inhabited by such creatures, unruly space teenagers had a secret competition akin to playing “Civilisation” or similar game and seeing who ends up with the largest count of most developed ugly-bags-of-mostly-water. Perhaps, our “teenager” isn’t doing very well due to ill-conceived emphasis on religion and treating it as something sacred.

NASA to send naked pictures of humans to space in hopes of attracting aliens
……………..
Well, actually, this was done by NASA back in 1972 with Pioneer 10:
https://images.newscientist.com/wp-content/gallery/dn16980-messaging-et/apioneernasa.jpg
I think the only reason they are nude is not to attract aliens, but just to show what humans look like without bellbottom pants and maxi dresses. Of course, the same would be true of *any* clothing from any era.
Of course, now this would be decried from being “racist” for depicting white people and not “trans-friendly” for showing a clear male and female.
Infidel says
Do aliens wear clothes? In other words, do they resemble ET or Starwars? The answer would depend on that: if they are nude, then pictures of nude humans wouldn’t matter to them
Also, what if they know how to transmit reproductive elements via waves, as opposed to actual physical contact? They could impregnate any of us, depending on what gets transmitted
CogitoErgoSum says
Yes, and when it’s born the little baby space alien (with a head shaped like a kidney bean) might rip right out of our chest and scurry away to terrorize the planet when it grows up – after about half an hour.
Rarely says
Wonder if they permit abortions?
D Cripps says
Bigwigs in NASA already know of e.t contact and engagement, including at state-level, on our very own terra firma, so this smacks of distraction and trying to pretend otherwise…in a very expensive way.
gravenimage says
Speculation, of course.

Celebrate diversity, aliens welcome!
I’m sure aliens have their own porn websites and everything.

AHA. A brand new gender perhaps. Now it’s LGBTQA where the “A” represents aliens.
OTOH “aliens” may be covered by some of the other initials.

Let us compare cosmologies.
I agree with the blog contributor that the Search for Extraterrestrial Artifacts/Intelligence (SETA/SETI) is most probably a huge waste of resources. That said it’s old even noble human idea. Left/right politics is not relevant to SETI. Also no problem with anatomic human figures. Anatomy is not pornography. (DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS’s posts and writings are usually informative and notable, breath of cool Canadian air. Unfortunately, CD-W’s above news link comment is half-baked off the rails like recent off-focus trends of Jihad Watch…)

OLD GUY says
I can see some vary bad things coming from aliens coming to earth even if they are friendly. Look what happened to the indigenous people of the Americas when the Europeans came in contact with them.
While the UFO programs on TV are interesting no one has come up with the answer of how they could get here from a solar system millions of light years away. But sending Art, Porn or scientific pictures into space and info on how to find us makes no sense, as how in the hell are they going to read or see it traveling at thousands of miles an hour. If it crashes on a planet or hits a star nothing will be left.
I wonder what the Vegas odds would be on aliens seeing the pictures.
Rarely says
Did any historian ever suggest that the Europeans were “friendly” to the indigenous people? A novel idea.
CogitoErgoSum says
I think most of the Europeans were friendly at first. Things went downhill through misunderstandings and cultural differences – the Europeans did not understand native customs, like why the Aztecs were making human sacrifices, and the Native Americans didn’t understand why the Europeans thought they could own land (that each tribe had fought to keep other tribes from using). Things kept going from bad to worse after the resulting arguments turned violent.
somehistory says
If someone had been able to send photos to the people of the Amazon…before any contact was made, and they sent photos of anything not available in the Amazon Jungle…cars, phones, cameras, etc. the people receiving the photos would have no clue what the items were or how to use them if they had them.
Like shows where someone goes into the past and wears modern clothing and people in the past are seeing it as very strange and even dangerous; or one travels into the future and is confused by all of the gadgets.
If there is “life out there” …creatures on other planets, they may be so different from here that they wouldn’t know what the photos represent.
