Iran: International community must ‘take the necessary measures to combat islamophobia’

The term “Islamophobia” is an illegitimate conflation of two distinct phenomena: crimes against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, and honest analysis of the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which is always necessary. Iran, Pakistan and others will not stop until they have compelled the West to discard the freedom of speech and adopt Sharia blasphemy restrictions. With the U.S. abandoning the freedom of speech in favor of restrictions on “disinformation,” this longtime endeavor could finally come to fruition.

In a statement at the 43rd session of the UN General Assembly’s Committee on Information, held in New York on Wednesday, Majid Takht Ravanchi decried the climate of intolerance and hate toward Islam and Muslims in various parts of the world provoked by anti-Muslim media outlets and the inflammatory as well as bigoted rhetoric of certain political figures in the West….

The current climate of intolerance and hate toward Islam and Muslims in various parts of the world provoked by anti-Muslim media outlets and the inflammatory as well as bigoted rhetoric of certain political figures in the West are a matter of grave concern. It is high time for the international community to condemn this phenomenon and take the necessary measures to combat islamophobia and violation of basic human rights of Muslims. In that regard, we urge the DGC to continue its efforts in addressing this phenomenon, in particular through commemorating March 15 as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia designated by the GA landmark resolution A/RES/76/254. The Islamic Republic of Iran continues to emphasize the important responsibility of the United Nations vis- -vis the Question of Palestine. Iran fully supports raising international awareness regarding the negative consequences of the occupation and embargo on Palestinian people. We commend the DGC for its special information program on the question of Palestine, including the training program for Palestinian journalists….

    • I think the general public has caught on that they are being played. The SPLC blew its reputation with pointless redundancy and CAIR is doing the same. The only entity that shows up more often to hustle racism is Al Sharpton.

  7. Fear of Islam is a logical oputcome of the worldwide activity of these people. The way to combt Islamñhobia is for the so called moderate Muslems to turn on the radicals to clean up their act. When Muslems accept their responsibility to be gooid citizens, and act accordingly th is so-called issmlphopbia will reduced.

I remember a few decades ago that some turban headed old dude from some islamic country came to the United Nations in NYC and DEMANDED, never asked, never suggested, only demanded, that the UN make an International LAW making it ILLEGAL from anybody in any country anywhere in the entire World to say anything negative about islam as I guess it hurts their wee feeeeelings…
    They didnt pass any such Law back then and now these days it is back, same shit different day, only this time these backward morons have The Left behind them and this I can never understand that the strangest alliance in the history of the World is with islam and Liberals in the West as these two ideas are a contradiction in terms but here we are in 2022 when those who scream about free speech and yet are falling over themselves to defend a people, a religion, that believes free speech is against allah..

    • Are you thinking of Ayatollah Khomeini? He took power in the late 70’s and he wore something that might appear to be a turban..

      I don’t know if he ever addressed the UN while he was in power.

      However, in 2012 President Obama addressed the UN and condemned all who would ‘slander’ Islam. Later the OIC demanded worldwide blasphemy laws, banning any and all criticism of Islam and Mohammed.

  14. Let’s see muslims want protection from the freedom of speech, while they islam strangle the voices of all other religions and people. Not to leave out the murder and rape of non-muslims by Islamic men and the continued hate and violence being spread by islamic leaders in the mosques around the world.
