After 9/11, George W. Bush invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. If he had really wanted to strike the nations that were actually responsible for the attacks, he would have invaded Saudi Arabia and Iran. You can get the details of their involvement in The History of Jihad. Meanwhile, Bush’s false claims and errors, his wrong framing of the conflict, and his unwillingness to confront the real causes of 9/11 have caused incalculable devastation.

Congratulations for your wonderful ranch that you bought in Paraguay in 2005. Very nice ranch. Can I go on vacation there? What did you have to do to get that kind of money?

Used to respect Bush 43 and Bush 41. No longer do. I now realize they were part of the problem and part of the solution. Done with the entire Bush family as I am with the Cheney family. What disappointments they have turned out to be. Frankly, I don’t know how they sleep at night.

“…and not part of the solution…” and not “…and part of the solution…” Damn.

Wellington,
I cut Bush 41 more slack. The chain of events that led to 9/11 can be traced to the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution. What country is at the center of it all? Iraq.
Sure they weren’t the ones who attacked us but they were catalysts in the events leading up to 9/11. The Iran-Iraq war lasted eight years and Saddam was broke at the end of it. Then he invaded Kuwait. The West went in to reverse this act of aggression but decided that Saddam had to stay in power. He bombed the Kurds when they rebelled after the ceasefire. Then came the no-fly zones. All of the attacks against the US were because we were willing to protect Shia and Kurds in Iraq from bases in Saudi Arabia. The lesson going forward should be: hey Muslims, you fight your own wars. If another country invades or threatens you, YOU fight them. Don’t involve us in your feuds.
I cut Bush 41 a little more slack because he was in uncharted waters at what looked like the end of the cold war..
I’ll never vote for another Trump other than 45 for just one reason: I’m done with the idea of dynasties.

Yes, he’s 75 and is as good at making a speech as Joe Biden is at 79. At least Bush is retired and out of office, no longer able to do much damage – except to himself. Still, little children and the senile can speak the truth without thinking about it.

I’d toss in Pakistan w/ those 2 as well. While the Taliban wasn’t involved in pulling off 9/11, Pakistan was. In the weeks following 9/11, every major plotter of the event – Abu Zubeida, Ramzi bin al Shibh, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, et al were captured in various major cities in Pakistan – such as Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan,… None of them were hiding in Waziristan – Pakistan’s wild west – as claimed by Musharraf
Bush’s trust of Musharraf made him even worse than Obama when it came to dealing w/ the war in Afghanistan. Had he never bought Musharraf’s denials and agreement to join the US in the ‘war on terror’, we would have been much better off

Riddle me this: How many countries has Russia invaded in the last 40 years?.
How many countries has America invaded in the last 40 years?.
James Lincoln says
So, former President George W. Bush said: “The decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean of Ukraine.”
Notice the laughter in the audience after the statement.
Sometimes you laugh because it’s true.

War criminal, George W. ‘the Fredo’ Bush, shines once again for a brief moment.
Most politicians are criminals. As for the muslims, they show themselves, time and time again, to be socially and morally depraved and retarded as their religion of peace calls upon them to be.
