France has nothing comparable to the First Amendment. French laws against “hate speech” are stringent, even more so than those of Canada. But despite any existing laws, globalists everywhere manipulate the freedom of speech to mean whatever they want as they work to influence the establishment media, social media, the government, and the private sector. Anything offensive to Muslims and other preferred groups is cancelled, no matter how accurate. The public is allowed to digest only what is permitted by globalists. If it comes from one of the Left’s favored groups, this can even include the incitement and hatred that the Left claims to fight.
According to the Council of State, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin’s “ban was ‘neither necessary nor appropriate and constitutes a disproportionate attack on freedom of expression and freedom of association.’” This was despite “Collectif Palestine Vaincra” (Palestine Will Overcome Collective) and the Palestine Action Committee calling for “the destruction of Israel as a democratic Jewish state and its replacement by a unitary state of Palestine.” The groups also pledged support for the armed jihad struggle against Jews in Israel. They already openly support the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
Inciting hatred and violence against Jews and Zionists is acceptable to the Council of State, even when it is in breach of actual French law. This means that everyone is not equal under the law. Not anymore.
“French Interior Minister’s Dissolution of Palestinian Solidarity Organization Overruled by Council of State,” Algemeiner, April 29, 2022:
A high court in France has reversed a decision of the country’s interior minister to dissolve a pro-Palestinian organization accused of inciting antisemitic hatred.
In a ruling on Friday, the French Council of State — the supreme court for administrative matters — annulled a decision by Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin to dissolve the “Collectif Palestine Vaincra” (“Palestine Will Overcome Collective”).
Darmanin had announced on March 9 that the Collective would be dissolved along with another solidarity organization calling itself the Palestine Action Committee. “As detailed in the executive order I presented, it called for hatred, violence and discrimination,” Darmanin said of the Collective.
Darmanin has also launched an offensive against Islamist groups in France during the last year, closing down several mosques around the country that were alleged to have been radicalized.
According to the Council of State, Darmanin’s ban was “neither necessary nor appropriate and constitutes a disproportionate attack on freedom of expression and freedom of association.”
The ruling added that the Collective “does not cause or contribute to discrimination, hatred or violence, that its positions vis-à-vis Israel and Zionism do not present an antisemitic character, that it has always condemned antisemitism, that the campaign to boycott Israeli products constitutes a legitimate means of expressing protest.”
A statement on the Collective’s website says that the group “fights the State of Israel as a colonial and racist entity, an outpost of Western imperialism in the region. We denounce and fight France’s support for the Zionist entity.”
It also pledges to support the Palestinian “resistance … in all forms….

Most of this Council of State appears to be appointed from within the French administrative nomenklatura (hereditary deep state) funnelled through the Ecole Nationale d’Administration. It is hard to tell from the cursory details provided here what standards, if any, were used to arrive at their appalling decision in this case.

YouTube has Muslims listed as a ‘protected group’ for reasons unknown so they delete criticism of Islam and Muslim violence and user accounts as well but not Muslim accounts that promote violence and it looks like France is following the same hypocritical trend.

I see anti-Islam sites on YT. See Apostate Prophet, Harris Sultan, Friendly Ex-Muslim, etc. I also see some Jihad Watch and Political Islam (Bill Warner).

YouTube seems to have stopped telling people they are violating Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy laws–I can’t see reacting to this with anything but derision.
