Former FBI counterintelligence top dog likens Trump supporters to ‘violent jihadists’

Of course, Trump supporters aren’t flying planes into buildings and all that, but such minor details are lost on deep thinkers such as Frank Figliuzzi. This clown’s fact-free and hyper-partisan ravings indicate why the FBI so catastrophically mishandled and willfully misunderstood the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat. With Figliuzzi as Assistant FBI Director for Counterintelligence, the bureau’s failure and willful ignorance was preordained.

Frank Figliuzzi, the former Assistant FBI Director for Counterintelligence, is likening Trump disciples in the Republican Party supporting and promoting the “Big Lie” that the election was stolen to “violent jihadists,” because they are “people who are consciously disregarding truth and reality.”

Now an NBC News national security analyst, Figliuzzi told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on Wednesday that “where we are right now” is in a “cult-like scenario.”

Trumpism “has gone way beyond a political ideology,” Figliuzzi says. “It is now the identity of a party. But it’s more than that because it’s now become a personal identity for those who consume the ‘Big Lie’ that the grand deception – and I can’t help because of my national security lens that I look at things through, to compare this to what we see in violent jihad.”…

“Yes, you have the purveyors and perpetrators of a ‘Big Lie.’ You become a martyr. You get this level of paradise. You go to Valhalla – here’s what happens: Those people are infidels. Yes, there are gurus and cultists and violent jihadists who preach that, but there’s also consumers who have to buy it and at the point where we’re at now, that supply and demand, the demand side of this are people who are consciously disregarding truth and reality.”…

“So this is a much harder nut to crack for us as a society,” Figliuzzi warned. “We not only need to hold accountable those who continue – like [Republican Senator] Ted Cruz Monday night on Fox – saying that January 6 was a ‘peaceful protest.’ He said it Monday night on Fox, it’s not only holding them accountable, it’s now figuring out what to do with those who consume deliberately by choice, the Big Lie, knowing that it’s wrong.”

    But, to compare these people to “violent” mozlums who commit terror attacks, murder, rape, plan mass murder…is to propagate a “bigger lie” and cause these innocent people…who *believe* something for which there is a whole lot of evidence, to be targeted, is criminal.

As more and more evidence of election fraud is exposed (see the films “2000 mules” and “Rigged” or the recent stories about election fraud in MN and VA), these attacks will become more prevalent and even more hyperbolic. Add to that the increase in black supremacist attacks in NYC, Waukesha and elsewhere, the increase in jihad activity, the end of Roe v. Wade, and the disastrous situations on our border and within our economy, and the people who have the most to lose will become more like cornered animals desperate to survive.

    Nobody should think that this fight will be easy, or that the swamp will drain itself. It’s gonna get A LOT WORSE, but we should be happy to have a chance to right the ship before things have gone too far to fix.

There’s something very strange and suspicious about it but since they are all sitting at the top monitoring what everybody else is doing how does – or dare – anybody challenge them? If they aren’t already, they could very easily become a state within the state operating outside law and order.
