Disinfo Board co-chair worked for Soros’ Open Society Institute and anti-Semitic Human Rights Watch

This was entirely predictable. Soros lavishly bankrolls all the Left’s pet causes, and censorship is its cause du jour. It would be surprising if his people weren’t involved.

A member of President Joe Biden’s Orwellian Disinformation Governance Board has close ties to liberal billionaire activist George Soros.  

Disinformation Governance Board leader Jennifer Daskal has at least three connections to Soros. Daskal previously served as an Open Society Institute fellow “working on issues related to privacy and law enforcement access to data across borders.” Daskal also worked as senior counterterrorism counsel for the anti-Semitic Human Rights Watch. HRW received at least $32,106,746 from Soros between 2000 and 2014 alone. Daskal was also founding editor of the Just Security blog. Soros’ Open Society Foundations gave $675,000 to Just Security between 2017 and 2019.

Daskal’s involvement with the censorship board fits right in with the Soros agenda. Soros has been involved in funding a litany of so-called fact-checking operations, making the revelation of Daskal’s Soros-tie par for the course. Soros cash recipients includes The Poynter Institute’s left-wing International Fact-Checking Network, which decried YouTube’s “insufficient” censorship, and the U.K.-based Full Fact, which tried to swat down the idea of COVID-19 leaking from a lab in February, 2020 while knowledge of the pathogen was still rare. 

The fact that Soros has one of his former fellows leading Biden’s government-sanctioned Ministry of Truth should concern every American citizen. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated during a congressional hearing that “[o]ur Undersecretary for Policy Rob Silvers is co-chair with our Principal Deputy General Counsel Jennifer Daskal, in leading a just recently constituted a misinformation/disinformation governance board.” 

This indicates that Daskal will be exerting considerable influence over the Disinformation Governance Board policies going forward. It’s as if the pro-critical race theory and self-proclaimed “Mary Poppins of disinformation” Nina Jankowicz being named the censorship board’s executive director wasn’t cringe enough….

  1. Why am I not surprised?

    Islam is a mortal enemy of the West and one knows this or should know it. But Western Leftism, which is sick to its core as Islam is, is an even greater enemy of the West—and one knows this by now or should know it.

    Add traditional authoritarianism (e.g., Putin and Xi) to the “mix” of this collection of iniquities and stupidities, and you have staring one in the face the unholy trinity which is continually trying to bring mankind to a very low level, contra the opposite.

    Matters very fluid in our era and it looks at present that the bad guys are winning. Not helped at all respecting the cause of liberty and truth because America is now “led” by the first puppet President in American history, a man who is not endowed with a single virtue and who is a menace, clearly so, to both liberty and truth.

    Troubled times ahead. Much. Count on it.

    Sorry. Senior moment. I fell into reverie. Things are more efficient now. After signing over their responsibilities to Nancy as their voting “proxy” they can spend 729-1/2 days of the new Congress performing Kabuki theatre as if good governance derives from pageants accurately performed like historically correct Punch and Judy shows.

    Just keep the public gawking while the DHS uses immigration like fileting knives to disembowel our Republic, the wave splitting prow of Western Civilization.

    They won’t be happy till we have a world in which the living envy the dead. And I’ll probably go the grave without understanding why.

    No surprise here. Jennifer Daskal.

    What else do we know about Jennifer Daskal? She traveled to countries Guantanamo Bay detainees had been released to, not to ascertain that they hadn’t returned to Jihad, but to make sure their human rights weren’t being violated.

    She has repeatedly condemned the “War on Terror” and any defense against Jihad terror.

      The Left and islam love to assume powers over everything (started with good intention) to subjugate the man on the street. This rascal is no exception. No surprises. The West once known for giving clean governments is in serious disarray as there are too many around who are bribed. We are doomed to see more hopelessness in the present scenario.

      • Often true, Raja. But while some of this on the Left *may* in some cases be started with good intentions, this is not the case with Islam, where both the aim and practice are generally evil.

You have had a blessed life and made fortunes and instead of helping your fellow man you spend your fortune and effort on destroying the free lives of millions. George you better put away a bunch of cash, you are going to need it when you get where you are going. The DEVILS not cheap and GODS not for sale.
