New in PJ Media:
What would we do without the Department of Homeland Security? Those intrepid defenders of our liberties are showing these days how richly they deserve our taxpayer billions, as DHS officials, ever on the watch, warned on Monday that “domestic violent extremists” are “infiltrating” the national debate over abortion, with nefarious plans to “incite violence amongst their supporters.”
Now, I must admit, I’m not as sharp as the all the knives in the drawer over at the DHS, and I don’t have my finger on the pulse of threats to “our democracy,” which Leftists are constantly telling us is in imminent peril from people who believe in the U.S. Constitution and the basic goodness of the American experiment. So I hope that Alejandro Mayorkas and his henchmen, that is, colleagues, at the DHS will forgive me for not realizing that domestic violent extremists have only recently infiltrated the abortion debate. I had the crazy idea that domestic violent extremists had actually infiltrated the abortion debate decades ago; in fact, I thought they had been there from the very beginning. After all, there are people out there who think that those who dismember babies in the womb are performing a decent and righteous act; if that’s not domestic violent extremism, what is?
But that is, of course, not the kind of domestic violent extremism that the DHS has in mind. To be sure, our intrepid defenders didn’t specify exactly what kind of domestic violent extremism they did have in mind. ABC News reported that the DHS official who disclosed this warning “did not specify which side, if any, the extremists were taking.” However, it’s not hard to figure out which side the DHS has in mind. The FBI, as well as DHS officials, have quite frequently repeated the claim that “white supremacists” are the most formidable “domestic extremist” threat that the nation faces today.
This is an administration that has likened parents who have protested at school board meetings against Communist indoctrination and transgender propaganda in public schools to terrorists, while not saying a thing about genuine Antifa violence and thuggery, so when the DHS warns that “domestic violent extremists” are infiltrating the abortion debate, it’s absolutely certain that the people they are tarring with this label are pro-lifers. And while there have been a handful of pro-lifers who were violent in the past, it’s far more likely that DHS is equating dissenting words with violence.
Why do I say that? Because it has happened to me. Last year, the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT), an organization created by Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube to police terrorism on the Internet, bizarrely designated my organization Jihad Watch a “violent extremist” group, despite the fact that pretty much all we do is type and report on jihad activity in the U.S. and around the world.
There is more. Read the rest here.

What exactly was the purpose of DHS? To make us safer?
How is it I feel not safer, but in greater peril?

Department of Homeland Subversives.
Peaceful protests? How dare you! Send in the tanks (1989 Tiananmen Square).
Fitna says
This is a big topic and unfortunately I just don’t have the time to address it adequate, but I’ll hit on a few points, because it’s been largely one-sided. Firstly based on polls the vast majority of the US population 60-70% support keeping abortion legal.
It seems the people who oppose abortion really never studied their opponents views nor do they care to listen or understand the other side.
Regarding the actual procedure, the vast majority around 99% of abortions occur in the first trimester when the baby is nothing more than a clump of cells that get suctioned out. Late-term abortions are very rare and its usually because the fetus is unviable, and/or is a threat to the mother’s health. So much for the ‘baby-killer’ hysteria.
Additionally, an egg is not a chicken, a zygote is not a baby, an acorn is not a tree. If it has no eyes, ears, arms/legs, brain, etc. it is not a baby. I think many pro-lifers skipped or failed grade 5 biology class.
The only reason people are “pro-life” is because of religious fanatics who believe a soul enters the egg on conception…this is anti-scientific hogwash, completely fabricated out of thin air. These same people acknowledge they have no proof of their god, then why claim souls exist in the first place.
Lastly bodily autonomy, nobody has a right to tell others what they can or cannot do with their body. If men were the ones forced to carry babies-esp against their will then you can bet the number of people who are pro-Choice would be far higher.
As I said I’m scratching the surface, but the pro-lifers here are flatly wrong. Ask yourself why your arguments never seem to have any concern about the life and welfare of the mother who is ultimately the one stuck with the hellish task of having a baby she doesn’t want and care for it for at least 18 years of its life.
Most of these “ideas” sound good in the minds of dogmatists, but they’re entirely divorced from reality and the suffering people go through. If you are a moral, caring person, then you should take every argument into account to make sure you’re not on the wrong side.
As for extremists on the Left, what about the pro-Life extremists who’ve bombed clinics, murdered doctors, nurses and, pregnant women either directly or by denying them the right to an abortion?
Fitna says
I’ll add let’s not forget the Christian God accordingly to the Bible is the biggest genocider in history, he killed billions of people in the flood and for other reasons. He commanded Jews to slaughter their enemies and rip the babies out of the mother’s wombs and smash them against rocks.
If your God doesn’t care about human life or babies, why do you? It’s going against his will. Don’t forget the millions maybe billions of random abortions women have in miscarriages/spontaneous abortions every year-caused by God.
It seems some people took a few sentences out of the Bible and assumed God wants them to “fight for the unborn” at the expense of all reason, logic and common sense. That’s the trouble with religious dogmatism and why it creates problems for others.
Speaking of which, this is infringing on the rights of non-believers, whenever you try to impose your beliefs on others. This will naturally lead to conflict.
By Conservatives packing the courts with pro-lifers, they are imposing their religion on others which is a violation of the US Constitution.
I’m sure if the Muslims packed the courts, then voted to impose Sharia law on everyone and turn the US into an Islamic state, all the Christians would be celebrating that right? Or reminding us that the judges were selected legally and democratically and we must obey the “law of the land.” LOL
Fitna says
All of this childish nonsense and conflict btw millions of people could’ve been avoided if we didn’t brainwash people to believe a magical entity called the ‘soul’ exists and is there at birth….not to mention the other fictions like gods, angels, demons, yada yada yada.
How much does a soul weight? What are its properties, can you provide any proof it exists at all, apart from pointing to mythology books?
Also I don’t care to hear any whining about hurt feelings, I’m asking for evidence, if you have none then admit that you don’t and realize you put your ‘faith’ in nothing but make-believe, fairytales and a house of cards.
Pierre Delecto says
I have no “hair trigger” emotion to ignite. Just a question.
Is termination of fetal existence infanticide?
Fitna says
@Pierre,
Of course not, a fetus is not an infant.
A baby that is born becomes an infant, then if you kill it, that’s infanticide.
gravenimage says
Fitna, there have been late-term abortions where the fetus/infant/whatever you want to call it/ has survived. What then?

In one report yesterday, the dhs said that they were expecting riots when the decision comes from the Court as has already happened with the draft leak. They just couldn’t help themselves and in that report said that there might be attacks on “abortion providers and clinics.”
they referenced the “fire-bombing” that happened, but then linked that to the *fear and warning* that there could be attacks on those who are “seeking” the procedure and “clinics” where the baby-killing is carried out.
so, they acknowledge that there has been “violence,” and an arson attack, but want everyone to believe that it’s those who want to protect the unborn that have done this and will do it when the Court publishes its ruling in the matter.
They also said that ‘violent rhetoric” doesn’t mean the person is an “extremist,” but this is contrary to the memo they put out months ago regarding Trump supporters and others who say things about election fraud, the jabs, the pandemic, and other things that indicate people disagree with them on these topics. About those people who disagree: they are called “domestic terrorists” and “extremists.”
one mob member shouted out that “antifa is here” when harassing the Justices.
Anyone who wants to murder…as Mr. Spencer writes, “dismember babies in the womb,” is a terrorist of the worst kind.
anyone who fights for women to be legally allowed to have their babies “dismembered” or suffocated, or birthed and then stabbed in the spine, is a terrorist.
And anyone who does this, is a terrorist and a ghoul and a child of satan the devil.
“Through this, the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: anyone not practicing righteousness is not of God, and also the one not loving his brother.” 1John 3
“The field is the world, and the good seed represents the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,” Matthew 13
“You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning,” John 8

Here’s a quote from the dhs…they seem to want it to be this way….
“The memo also warned that violent extremists might target companies that manufacture or sell abortion-related medications and “organizations that fund and facilitate travel for those seeking abortions.”
The Department of Justice’s memo specifically warns of violence carried out by anti-abortion enthusiasts who might feel empowered to act out following the official decision. “Some racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists’ embrace of pro-life narratives may be linked to the perception of wanting to ‘save white children’ and ‘fight white genocide,’” reads the memo, per Axios. The memo also warns that violence might come from abortion-rights activisits as well.” (sic)

Will these old white trash democrats ever stop with the white this white that bs? They could call us dirty Jews but that has already been used and leads to bad optics. When they peek under their beds at night they see a big bad white wolf lurking there. Woof woof.

Not if they can help it. They have found a lot of success getting others to believe we are the worst thing to ever see daylight…us White, non-elite, just regular people.

“the worst thing to ever see daylight…us White, non-elite, just regular people.”
i don’t know about you but true or not I kind of like that description when it comes to those murderous commies. If they keep pushing we all may find out. Easily offended wokesters, pink pussy hat brigade, antifa, blm, etc, vs just regular people. Which will be victorious? I’m not banking on them.

thanks.
I watched a video where James O’Keefe was trying to ask one of the **brave** guys who moderate and silence people who dare to twitter something not approved by the guys behind the curtain.
Mr. O’Keefe just wanted to ask him a question and the guy…ran. from him, up and down the street, out in the street, jay-walking at a fast, very fast step and finally haled a cab…just to keep from answering a question.
and when, I believe it was Peter Doocy, asked the new press sec a question, she looked faint, had to read every word and did so poorly even at reading, she had to keep correcting herself. Just to answer a question.
I don’t think they would put up much of a fight, if it comes to that. We could just question them into defeat.

Lol. Too funny.

I’m on the fence when it comes to abortion, because in most cases I really don’t know. But when it comes to rape I believe in abortion. Just imagine if a woman was raped by a mass murdering psychopath, (someone like mohammad) she should have the right to terminate the pregnancy. No one in their right mind would want a child of such a person.
somehistory says
I’m sorry, and you have a right to your opinion, but I have to disagree on killing the baby because of who the father is.
One thing, many women will claim rape to get the exception, even when they consented…and would do so again.
I have personally known of rape victims having the baby who resulted. The grandmother of one of them told me how much she and her daughter loved the new baby.
Another victim, had a beautiful daughter and she is very much loved by all of her family.
Yes, being the victim of a serial rapist, psychopath, mozlum monster like the fake prophet, would be horrendous. But, it would be possible to still love a child because of the fact, it is a baby and because it is a part of the mom.
I just keep praying that it will all come to an end soon. Then, no more babies dying, and no more rapes or other evils.
john smith says
OK Somehistory, we can disagree on this issue, but I never said anything about killing a baby. From the moment a woman is impregnated it’s not a baby, it’s a baby in the making granted, but it’s still not a baby. I also believe it’s every persons right to choose with who they share their genes with. No one should be forced to have a child that has been raped by a mass murdering psychopath, no one.
somehistory says
and I didn’t say anyone was being ‘forced.” Each woman who gets pregnant must decide, but I don’t believe that any one, man or woman, has a right to take a life when the person who is being deprived of living is innocent of any wrong, or about to be guilty of doing wrong, so that no self-defense is involved.
If a man goes home and finds his wife with another man, some places…Texas has had a law on the books for a long time…allow him to kill both his wife and the man.
Now, how does God feel about that? Each person in that situation must decide if it is the “right” thing to do. for those who don’t believe in God, or that He cares, they can do as they believe is *legal*…but legal isn’t necessarily right.
and, on this we must disagree, as I believe that from the first moment, the new life is sacred, even if not fully formed, even if doctors and scientists call it something other than a baby.
Who should get to decide what moment a *baby* is there? At six weeks, the child is not very far along, but has a beating heart.
and the Bible says that God “sees” “even the embryo.”
The ‘roe’ thing made the “viability” an issue and set something past 24 weeks I believe. However, there have been babies born before then, at barely 20 weeks and the doctors who were taking care of the mom and baby were successful in helping the child to live. Many examples of this have been shared on the internet.
If I sat on the Court, I would have to agree with Justice Thomas…that there is no “right” in the Constitution for a woman to get rid of the child…however old it is, or how far along in developing. If the development is not interrupted, a fully formed baby will have a chance at living….with the “right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
and I fully believe that is the way God would have it be….even if the ‘father’ is a really bad guy. I believe any woman who is raped….and rapes are a tiny % of the reason given …will be blessed by God if she keeps the child. If after giving birth, she may elect to allow another person to provide a home for the baby, but that is so much better than ending the “life.” and, from day one, it is “life.”
john smith says
Somehistory I will answer you tomorrow as I have to be up early, but seriously would you allow yourself to have a child from satan, or one of his children. I know for a fact you wouldn’t .
gravenimage says
John, many people in my family have been violent criminals, including my parents. Still glad I was born.
john smith says
Somehistory, I’ve decided that I don’t want to get into a dispute or a disagreement with either yourself or gravenimage over this issue, as your both arguing champions, and I know damn well who will come off the worse. As I said in my first post I am on the fence when it comes to abortion, except for rape.
Gavenimage, your honest comment took me back a bit but I’m not going to delve into it. A violent criminal is not necessarily an evil person, it depends on what sort of violence is used and what their intention was.
somehistory says
John,
I don’t like disagreements with anyone, but esp with one who is an honest person and only states what is really and sincerely believed.
Just as matter of something I was thinking about last night. There was a woman who was married to a guy…seemed to be so very nice and kind and they had a bunch of kids. After they had been married a long time, and as I wrote, had a bunch of kids, she found out that he was a serial rapist/killer and had actually buried some of the victims under their bedroom window.
Many women have had kids and then found out what kind of guy they married, and she is not alone in this situation. She wouldn’t get rid of any of her kids, even being fully aware of who their father was and what kind of person he was really.
and, no, I wouldn’t like to have a child of satan.
I do have four children and the guy to whom I was married…I won’t go in to just how evil he is; suffice it to say, if I had known, I never would have gotten involved with him. I didn’t find out the whole truth until after we were divorced.
But, I love my kids more than I love life. Had I found out before, while expecting, I would still have had my child. They all share his dna, but I spend hardly any time thinking about that. In fact, this is one of the rare times that I have even thought about it.
Each one of us must go with what we know, what we believe and sometimes, those things can change. As I wrote above, very few women who get rid of the child, do so because of an actual rape. I imagine if they would have willingly had a baby under other circumstances, it must weigh heavily on their soul.
gravenimage says
Not trying to put you in an awkward position, John–I always respect your comments. I’ll leave the exchange here. Something to think about, though.
gravenimage says
Thanks so much for that personal account, Somehistory.
somehistory says
thank you, g. It would make a book and I did begin writing it under a pen name…just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. There may be more to tell in the future anyway.
john smith says
Somehistory I’m sorry to hear things didn’t work well with your husband, but in a lot of cases you really do have to live with a person to get to know them properly.
I know I don’t always see eye to eye with yourself or Gravenimage, but that doesn’t change my opinion of either of you. As I have a great deal of admiration and respect towards both of you..
somehistory says
Thanks, John.
Yes, that is true, esp when the person is hiding what and who they really are. Which he did.
In my opinion, and that of a doctor (of psychology who dealt with convicted serial killers) friend of mine, the guy is a psychopath.
He told me once, “I’m a pathological liar.” After we had been married long enough to have the four kids. And then, he denied saying it.
We are all better off without him and I have four children and 7 grandchildren all very loved by moi. And none of them even resemble him in appearance, which is a big plus.
as for *seeing eye to eye*…I have disagreements with those I love and I raised them, so I don’t expect anyone to agree with me on everything.
And the respect and admiration is a two-way highway, John.
If we all hang in there, we will see a large reward.
gravenimage says
Thank you, John.
