Justice Clarence Thomas said Friday at an event in Dallas that the Supreme Court has been changed by the leak of a draft decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade earlier this month, calling it “tremendously bad,” according to audio obtained by Reason Magazine….
“You can’t have a civil society, a free society, without a stable legal system. You can’t have one without stability and things like property or interpretation and impartial judiciary,” he added.
“And the institution that I’m a part of, if someone said that one line of one opinion would be leaked by anyone in you would say that, ‘Oh, that’s impossible. No one would ever do that.'”
“There was such a belief in the rule of law, belief in the court, a belief in what we were doing, that that was verboten. It was beyond anyone’s understanding, or at least anyone’s imagination, that someone would do that. And look where we are, where now that trust or that belief is gone forever.”
“When you lose that trust, especially in the institution that I’m in, it changes the institution fundamentally. You begin to look over your shoulder. It’s like kind of an infidelity that you can explain it, but you can’t undo it.”
“I wonder how long we’re going to have these institutions at the rate we’re undermining them. And then I wonder when they’re gone, or they are destabilized, what we will have as a country. And I don’t think that the prospects are good if we continue to lose them.”
Thomas also criticized recent peaceful pro-abortion protests outside of justices’ homes, saying he believes conservatives would have never done the same.
“You would never visit Supreme Court Justice’s houses when things didn’t go our way. We didn’t throw temper tantrums. It is incumbent on us to always act appropriately and not to repay tit for tat.”

The Honorable Justice Thomas is correct.
When the “roe” thing came out saying there was a “right” to murder the unborn, and the more recent, so-called “marriage” for same-sex…boy was that something when they admitted that there were only *two*….was decided, and Robets went with those who decided that the health tax was not a tax but it was a tax that wasn’t….No such riots at the homes of the Justices nor were they surrounded by mobs, nor were rocks thrown at the police, nor were there fires, and the shouting that now those in opposition to these rulings were “ungovernable” which some in the pro baby-killing mobs have said.
The politicians who were pro=life, and those who believe in the sanctity of real marriage, and were against the unaffordable “care act,” didn’t make threats against the Justices. some may have said how disappointed they were, and one woman clerk refused to sell marriage licenses to two who were of the same sex, but there were no threats and no riots with fires and rocks.
schumer and pelosi stood together as schumer threatened two of the Justices; and now pelosi has said that the Court is “dangerous to families and freedom.”
they want to stack it with a whole herd of those who will rule in their favor…like sotomayor, jackson, and kagan, while slamming everything they don’t like as being “dangerous” and whatever other adjectives they can throw in.
Justice Thomas is right. How long can he and a few others stand against the mobs that want him gone?
Evil tyranny is ramping up for that day when he and the others can no longer prevail.

Leftism is the great enemy within in America and in the West overall in our era. Islam, minus Western Leftism, wouldn’t stand a chance to ruin the greatest civilization in history. But, coupled with Leftism, Islam is poised to participate in the ruination of a civilization that explored parameters of freedom and human achievement such as no other civilization or society remotely has.
