Woke Church Won’t Use Hymns Written by White People, Will Still Use Bible Written By White People

It’s one thing to declare that you’re not going to read books by white people or listen to music by white people, a popular racist woke trend, but if you’re going to get rid of white people in religion, you may want to consider switching religions.

A church in suburban Chicago has told parishioners it will abstain from performing any music that is associated with White people during the season of Lent. 

“In our worship services throughout Lent, we will not be using any music or liturgy written or composed by white people,” the website for the First United Church of Oak Park reads. “Our music will be drawn from the African American spirituals tradition, from South African freedom songs, from Native American traditions, and many, many more.”

Have they found a bible drawn from South Africa yet?

If you’re going to hate white people, just consider converting to Animism, Buddhism, or any number of religions that have nothing to do with white people.

Dumping hymns written by white people while keeping the bible is not terribly consistent.

Both the church office and head pastor John Edgerton, who is a white male…

Maybe they should do something about that.

    • And also , Israel is officially an asean country that means the bible wasn’t really written by white people and that Jesus wasn’t white .
      So you are definitely right , get rid of John Edgerton and replace him with a pastor of some other heritage .
      It’s just insane , if Jesus would still be phisically on earth would he really preach that we shouldn’t use any music or liturgy written or composed by white people ? The message of the gospel is to create bridges and not division , whoever advocates not to use liturgy or music by a certain ethnic group is basically a racist and does not have the love of the Father within himself .

      so many songs were composed by White men, and many of them enjoyed by Whites, Blacks and all “colors” in between for centuries.

  3. At Christmas time, they are going to find it tough to eliminate all music written by White people and still feel the same “seasonal” “goodwill toward men.”

    Of course, none of what they are doing in this is “goodwill.” It’s all meant to bring down those with whom they disagree; and anyone who reads the Bible would know it “does not compute.”

    As Mr. Greenfield writes, “while keeping the bible”….”Keeping the Bible,” but evidently not reading, studying, believing or following what it says….Useless.
    And as Mr. Greenfield says, maybe they should change their religion. They aren’t following Christ. They are following “oak park.”

        So, having left Christianity during my high school years and having spent 21 years on active military duty, how exactly am I–an atheist–useless to myself and the world at large, and for what effing reason should I join some communist club?

  4. Was the Bible written by “white people”? Aren’t all the people who wrote the Bible non-European Semites? I can’t pretend to know what lunacy goes through a woke brain, but it seems to be “white people” are Europeans. Am I wrong on this?

      As you note, the Bible was not written by white people.

      The first part of that headline–the overtly stupid decision to not perform music associated with white people–is accurate.

  6. All races including whites have done bad things, yet whites are the most vilified of all. In spite of their many achievements they are still hated.

      some people in the U.S. like to vilify White people for what was done when they came here and fought Native Americans…who had been fighting and killing each other.

      Not quite two weeks ago, a Tribal Member…he showed me his card…was comparing the color of his skin to mine and asking me about my ancestors. (He was moving into the building.) He guessed Irish and French, and I told him those two and German and Scott and a little bit of Native American from a great grandmother.
      A few days later, he was asking me to go to the movies with him and telling me how beautiful I am.
      It’s all in the mindset of the person who has the loudest voice. And many loud voices are screaming that Whites are the only bad guys and if we didn’t exist any longer, they would be so much better off and everything would go along smooth and fine.

      No one should be ashamed to say what color he is. God made all of the colors of skin, just as He made all of the colors of flowers, birds, etc.

  7. Last night, on Rob Schmitt’s ‘News from the Left’ segment on Newsmax, they covered this story. Rob showed a clip of the congregation of this church sitting in the garden of this church, and they were all a bunch of WHITE geezers. Not a single Black person among them!

      they can call it whatever they wish, but it shows by its fruits that they produce, it is nowhere near what Christ taught and what the Bible says came to be called Cristian “by Divine Providence.” (Acts 11:26)

    1. Animism/ Paganism & Buddhism are not religions but a way of life that provides a code of conduct for our behaviour.
    2. Animism/ Paganism & Buddhism are two of the most peaceful practices on the face of the earth and both abhor violence and hatred.
    3. I was always taught that religion is about a belief in a deity or a god and has nothing to do with sin colour or ethnicity.
    4. Any “church” that promotes this sort of hatred needs to have a good long look at itself and those who are leading it.

    • Buddhism is very much a religion. Buddhist temples in Thailand, Cambodia and other countries include idols of Buddha, who is worshiped. Also, Buddha himself claimed to be the incarnation of Vishnu, one of the members of the Hindu trinity, so the idea that the religion he founded was an atheist religion is actually groundless. Yeah, Buddhism is heavy into philosophical concepts and did influence some major changes in the Vedic religion as practiced until then – mainly in getting rid of animal sacrifices, but there is little to suggest that it rejects the idea of a deity

      Also, while Buddhism does abhor hatred, it does not forbid violence against those initiating the violence. Which explains why Burma and Sri Lanka – both Buddhist countries – have been the only 2 countries effectively combating islam

      • Mate, the hardest part of this reply was keeping the missus, who is a devout Buddhist away from the keyboard.
        She “calmly” reminded me that they don’t worship Lord Buddha, he is venerated and that he never claimed to be the reincarnation of Vishnu.
        The statues of Buddha in the “temples” are simply used as a means of inspiring devotees to attain enlightenment & the temples themselves are what would be considered seminary’s within Christianity.

        PS, I won’t make the mistake of reading out someone’s reply again, the ears are still burning.

        • He did claim to be Lord Rama (Incarnation of Vishnu), so you are wrong here. Buddhism is no different from any sects of Hinduism. Western scholars made it a separate religion and projected it to be the opposite of Hinduism.

        • Actually, Devasur, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism are different from Hinduism in that they replace Vedic and Puranic scriptures w/ other literature written by their founders or leading scholars. Actually, the best way to look at Dharmaic faiths is by sect – Vaishnav, Shaivya, Shakta, Smarta, Digamvara, Sitamvara, Mahayana, Theravada, Vajrayana, Sikhism (doesn’t have any sub-sects). And since there is no ‘First Commandment’ in Dharmaic faiths, one can be in the intersection of any number of those faiths

          But it is accurate that people of countries like Mongolia, Korea, Japan or Vietnam who follow Buddhism are not Hindus by any definition

      • Do you mean the King James Version of the Bible? This is usually referred to as KJV.

        This is *not* a new Bible as you appear to believe, LameBear. This is a *translation* of the Bible. I find it a particularly beautiful one, but if you compare translations of the Bible you will find that they are all very similar, with just slight differences in phrasing.

    • well, they did do a *re-write* years ago to satisfy some of the female pop who objected to God and the word “He” and “our Father”…so, it would not surprise me if they did do another fake one.
