Pakistan’s intel people and regime are the major backers of the Taliban. They also helped shield Al Qaeda and other Taliban allies. But there are the “good Taliban” in Afghanistan and the “bad Taliban” in Afghanistan.
Like most Islamist regimes, the Pakis are enthusiastic about Jihad… somewhere else. But they’re vehemently opposed to it in their own territory.
The Afghan Taliban are supposed to keep the Pakistani Taliban out as a basic condition of their support by Pakistan. But cutting deals with terrorists never works out.
And so Pakistan is bombing Afghanistan in retaliation for the Pakistani Taliban using Afghanistan as a base to attack Pakistan. And if you think that’s fun, wait till China joins the party.
Pakistan said on Sunday said incidents of its security forces being targeted in cross-border attacks from Afghanistan had risen significantly, and called on Taliban authorities to act against militants, a day after purported air strikes by Pakistan.
The incident has increased already simmering tensions between the neighbours.
Taliban authorities on Saturday summoned Pakistan’s ambassador in Kabul on Saturday to protest against the strikes. A local Taliban official and residents said the strikes were carried out by Pakistani aircraft inside Afghan airspace.
“In the last few days, incidents along Pak-Afghan border have significantly increased, wherein, Pakistani security forces are being targeted from across the border,” Pakistan’s foreign office said in a statement on Sunday.
It added the attacks were being carried out “with impunity” and that Islamabad had repeatedly asked Afghan authorities to act to stop them, but to no avail.
It said seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in the border area of North Waziristan on Thursday. North Waziristan borders the eastern Afghan province of Khost, where the strikes are said to have taken place on Friday.
here was no confirmation of the death toll. A local Taliban official in Khost claimed at least 36 people, including civilians, had been killed.
The Taliban government spokesman released a strongly-worded statement warning Islamabad of “bad consequences” if there was a repeat.
“The defeat of the United States eight months ago was a good lesson to aggressors who want to disrespect Afghanistan’s territory and freedom,” Zabihullah Mujahid said.
The United States wasn’t actually fighting and the Pakis won’t be hindered by any of our concern about civilian casualties or bombing mosques.
The Taliban can’t and won’t rein in their fellow Jihadis and Pakistan is one massive uprising away from turning into Afghanistan. So it’s fun for the whole Jihad Family until the Taliban get their hands on the nukes that the Clinton administration allowed Pakistan to develop and then export around the world.
Afghanistan’s largest news channel, TOLO News, showed images of children’s bodies it said were killed in the airstrike. The same channel showed protests by hundreds of residents of eastern Khost province condemning Pakistan and shouting anti-Pakistan slogans.

It’s like in old westerns where a gang of bad guys rob a bank or train and then fight among themselves. The evil people never get along with anyone, always fighting and killing.
If everyone on earth suddenly became mozlum, or even died to keep from converting, so that no infidels lived anywhere, there would still be raping, stealing, killing…it’s the nature of the satanic beast.

The strife in Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as in many parts of Africa and the Middle East are producing examples of men without a government to protect its citizens from each other. Here even one Taliban faction is fighting another Taliban faction, never mind Sunni vs Shia, and when one side wins, the war will continue within the tribe as to who is the most worthy of the tribe until only one person is left.

I’m all for the Taliban going into Quetta from Kandahar and crossing the Khyber pass from Jalalalalalalalalalalabad (as the late, great Rush Limbaugh used to call it) and instigating the Paki Pashtuns to revolt. Let Pakistan be blessed w/ the same sorta civil war that Afghanistan went through
In the meantime, in the Ummah Kaliphate, supporters of Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharief are at each other’s throats, and ‘Her Majesty’s government’ seems incapable of doing anything about it

Also, the $8,000,000,000 worth of military equipment – can’t the Taliban put that into good use in invading Pakistan? Force Islamabad to use its nukes against Kandahar, Kabul, et al? Maybe Pakistan can form an alliance w/ ISIS against the Taliban?
