Swimming Australia issues warning about transgender athletes, may issue testosterone tests

In Australia, “major names” in swimming have been speaking out openly about transgenders in sports and “fairness in swimming.” Australia may set a reasonable precedent in its investigations, including the warning that transgender athletes may be subject to testosterone tests. 

The most politically incorrect and perhaps most vocal of all has been Australia’s former deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack, who stated that “it’s unfair for girls to compete against ‘some ex butch bloke.’“

Far too many otherwise loudmouthed Leftist feminists have suddenly gone quiet in the face of males muscling women out of fair competition and in some cases molesting them in all-female facilities. Finally, women in sports are starting to take note and speak out for themselves in the face of ongoing woke insanity that has shaken their domain — or what should have been their domain. Frustration is building everywhere. At UPenn, transgender UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas has been smashing records, prompting an upset teammate to admit anonymously for obvious reasons (woe be unto her if she openly told the truth) that “pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this.” She continued: “Our coach [Mike Schnur] just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches. I think secretly everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do. When the whole team is together, we have to be like, ‘Oh my gosh, go Lia, that’s great, you’re amazing.’ It’s very fake.”

Swimming Australia have admitted transgender athletes are set to become a big issue for professional sports – as Australia’s most decorated Olympian speaks out against their inclusion.

Tracy Stockwell, the president of the country’s swimming organisation, said they are preparing for trans people to want to compete and are set for showdown talks on their future in meets.

‘I don’t know that we would have had any instances yet but it’s only a matter of time,’ she told the Telegraph.

‘I think we’ve got to be prepared for that.’

Ms Stockwell wants the ‘divisive’ issue clearly outlined by FINA, the International Olympic Committee who oversee water sports, with officials to meet prior to July’s world championships.

Swimming Australia will discuss the issue at a board meeting in May, with Ms Stockwell saying they will consider both ‘inclusive and fair policies’.

‘It’s complicated, it’s emotional, it’s divisive, depending on people’s views,’ she said at Wednesday’s announcement that Australia and the US would conduct a ‘duel in the pool’ meet in Sydney in August.

‘I respect everyone’s opportunity to have their view on it so we will be liaising and have spoken to FINA about doing more research and coming up with an international policy.

‘I think that’s the important thing, we want to be inclusive, but we also want to be fair. And the big question is, how do we do that?’

Ms Stockwell said considerations would include testosterone levels but admitted officials weren’t ready to make any decisions.

‘I’m not a medical expert or a doctor and so I can’t speak to how long does it take to mitigate the benefits of going into male puberty and what is the right level of testosterone,’ she said.

‘But there are rules for women in sport about testosterone levels and as someone who competed against the East German women, I think many people would say, ‘well, that wasn’t fair’.’…..

  2. Maybe the days of competitive sports are drawing to an end. How fair will it be when we start seeing people who are transforming themselves into fish. Come to think of it though I am seeing more and more people who are transforming themselves into whales.

    • Very funny comment there, CogitoErgoSum, about the large number of people who seem to be transforming themselves into whales. It is the same here in Australia where obesity is becoming a pretty big health problem.

  3. Even after 20 years on testosterone blockers I still had a lot of my upper body strength until other health factors started.

    • Even in intellectual sports, such as Chess or Jeopardy, Men’s & Women’s championships are separate

        Only place I’ve seen boys & girls compete together is the National Spelling Bee contest

          I remember back in third grade we had a spelling bee.

          I made it through three or four rounds and then got tripped up on the word “foreign”.

          Interestingly, since that day I’ve never forgotten the correct spelling!

        • I can recall when women were complaining about Math and how some were being denied their place in that category of whatever. Now, the women who complained about everything are ignoring this sports thing where girls are subjected to a male in a woman’s bathing suit. Or a wrestling uniform…changing clothes in the girl’s locker room and competing…and “winning”…imo, through cheating.

      • Infidel, this is true of chess–but I believe that Jeopardy has both male and female competitors, and does not separate them by gender.

    Imagine the selling point it has become for dawa. “Yeah, we have some strange stuff about where the sun sets and how orgasm timing determines gender, but nothing as strange as changing our own gender.”

    • The main gender selling point for Islam is that men can marry up to four females–including little girls–and rape as many Infidels and sex slaves as they like. Then, they can summarily divorce any of those women and girls with the “Triple Talaq”, and can beat or “Honor Kill” them as well.

      That is, for barbarians who are attracted to that sort of thing.

  6. If a male has his parts whacked off, he still has the muscle mass, the weight, etc. and that won’t change until he’s too old to compete against first graders.

    And, the thomas male, the pretender, still has his parts intact.

    And, Why must everything be “inclusive”? Why can’t there be things that restrict who participates? A birthday party for kids born on a certain date wouldn’t include kids born three months later…or would it?

    When males who pretend to be girls …and they say they “feel” like a girl….(I’d like to know just *how* anyone can say they “feel” like something they aren’t when there is no Universal “feeling” for being male or female)
    are after the “attention” it brings them to compete against girls;

    they aren’t up to the challenge of competing against other guys,

    and they want to have a look…and maybe more than a feel…of the girls in the locker and showers.

    All of the people making the decisions…and it is not the girls who are most affected…should ask those girls who swam and changed clothes with the pretender who ogled them while letting it all hang out, “feel” about it.
    They should ask the girls who were raped in the school bathrooms by the male pretending to be female in VA, how they feel about attending school with *him.*

      The only sport where men and women can and do compete on the same level is shooting.

      • that is True. It used to be recognized that there are differences in the abilities and strengths between male and female and people even were glad of the differences.

        Remember the phrase, “You throw like a girl”? Now, the idiots would be glad of that. How crazy.

      • Perhaps some of his/her/its competitors should gang up on him/her/it … and threaten to cut it off, if he/she/it doesn’t elect to compete on even terms … against other MALES!

    • Forget physical sports, even in competitions like Chess, Men’s and Women’s championships are separate. What do the people who run the FIDE know that today’s wokesters don’t?

    The answer is simple. Do a DNA test. The presence of the Y chromosome in your DNA disqualifies you for women’s sports, regardless of how you ‘identify’.

    The harder question is what to do with women who want to go male but have not had surgery. There the testosterone test would help. Women who are taking testosterone will develop more muscle and upper body strength than those who are not. It may be prescribed for other reasons but it should also be a disqualifier, since it amounts to a performance-enhancing drug.

I sort of half heard a report on the radio about how the female cyclists in a competition in the UK had threatened to walk out on the competition, or maybe did boycott it, if a transgender cyclist was allowed to compete. This is what all genuine women competitors should do and this garbage where transgender types are destroying women’s chances of winning any event in women’s sport will have to end. This garbage will completely destroy sport for girls and women otherwise.

    • If they all walked out, the faker would have no one to ‘beat.’ And the locker room would be empty of anyone at whom to ogle. so far, they can’t force women to stay and compete or else.

      • I believe that it has to be done to deal with this totally unfair situation, somehistory. And it would soon solve the problem. The current situation is ridiculous and completely unfair.

      • Thanks for that, gravenimage. I was doing something else and just caught a bit of the report on this situation in the UK. The quote from that woman cyclist sums the situation up perfectly. It is anti-female to let this continue and there will no point in woman or girls trying to compete in many events.

    • I don’t see where the problem is, we have sports for the handicapped so why can’t we have separate sports events for those whose gender can’t be classified due to disputation? That gets rid of them out of biological female sports events which makes it fair for them and the Lefties can do what they do best and award every competitor in the gender not specified sports a medal regardless of where they place, everyone wins.

      • Spot on, gregbeetham. I wonder how long it will take for this problem to be solved. I have the feeling that it will drag on and on, despite the fact that is all so obviously unfair to women athletes.

        • Thanks Tim, there are some issues where judgements have to be made clinically and not by the amount of emotional content and this is one of them.

        • Yes, it seems like a very simple problem to deal with to me, gregbeetham. It is so unfair to women and girls who have to compete against these transgender types of people. The transgender athletes have to compete in their own category against other transgender athletes and leave woman and girls alone. Imagine a girl or woman putting years into dedicated training and then being beaten (completely unfairly) by a transgender athlete. It should be so clear to everybody what needs to be done.

      • That looks like the most appropriate response. Have 3 categories – men, women and others, and toss all those 50+ other genders into the latter category

  10. ALL the young girls taking part in whatever Sport where some dude is in there telling everybody he is a girl, should all stand perfectly still when the Firing Pistol goes off and let HIM swim, run, jump, Cycle by himself, then after HE has finished let the Games begin.
    What I find amazing about all this insanity of allowing a man with a Penis intact, who is allowed to not only swim against these young girls that have trained hard to get where they are, but that this guy is allowed to walk around the Locker Room naked so that everybody can see he is in FACT a male, and yet the silence of the ”feminists” is deafening to me ears.
    But they scream that Trump is a sexist…
    Go figure…

  11. To compete in a Female event you must have XX chromosomes, Government law is required.

    If they wear make-up, tights, high-heels, they’re still male!

    Unless an operation has removed testosterone, and reduced muscle-mass, they’re still male!

    They need to either COMPETE as male, against male … or in a ‘league’ of their own!
