Spain: Muslims block Easter procession, attack police who try to get them to allow the procession to pass

Islamic law forbids non-Muslims to make public display of their religious festivals. These young Muslims likely believed that the Holy Week procession was wrong and offensive, and thus had to be stopped. The “most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6) must not engage in behavior that “the best of people” (Qur’an 3:110) dislike.

It happened yesterday, Sunday, in El Vendrell (Tarragona), at the moment in which several individuals broke into a Holy Week procession, trying to prevent their passage and prevent it from being held. The Local Police have arrested two of them, North Africans, who are accused of public disorder.

The unpleasant event occurred after 7:00 p.m., at the moment in which a group of young people stood in Àngel Guimerà street, shortly before the Holy Week procession. Several neighbors were the ones who, realizing their presence and bad intentions, warned that their objective was to block the procession.

Those who were present asked for respect as the religious images passed by, but they ignored the requests and continued with their plan. Moreover, some of the individuals in the group came to confront those who asked for their respect.

That is why several patrols of the Local Police had to move to the place, who were received in a violent and hostile manner by the rioters. The altercation ended with two detainees, who ended up being accused of disturbing public order. The policemen who came to the scene were forced to call for reinforcements to stop the rioters who put up a strong resistance. The situation so outraged the residents who were waiting for the procession to pass that they finally congratulated the officers for their good intervention.

The detainees are accused of an alleged crime against law enforcement officials. An investigation has also been opened to try to identify the other members of the group that disturbed the order.

The arrogance of these pricks knows no bounds whatsoever, they come to a Catholic Nation and they want to stop a Catholic Procession at Easter which is an important Festival In Christianity but these pricks, these low life scum bags from Africa, decided it offends them or they think its wrong and cannot even imagine that they are not in their culture, not even on their Continent, and yet they think the traditions, the culture, of another country far from theirs must be stopped…
    The word arrogance does not even cut it…
    I thank the Police for their actions, however I hope they beat the shit outta them once they ”fall down the stairs” at the Police Station and then deport them.. and charge them for the flight ticket.

    • Well said, Andrew. And it is always Muslims. There would never be loathsome behaviour like this from Buddhists, Hindus or any other group. Muslims need to be kept out because it a futile exercise letting the intolerant scum into any non-Muslim country. There are some exceptions I guess, but most Muslims belong only in their crappy Muslim countries.

      • I fully appreciate the action of Spanish police and exemplary punishment is to be given to the muslim bigots as per law and I’m sure the Spanish govt. will do it..
        Whereas I do not agree that Hindus in India are not communal, non riotists.. Leaving aside the communities like Sikhs, lower casts, south Indians, etc. the huge no. of upper caste Hindus particularly from North India with the support of the Indian present govt. are terribly hate filled against Christians. Indians are inherently communal but the last govt. & leaders were non communal and liberal. The wise and liberal govt. is gone now. Still Indians are communal and depend upon the leaders. The present govt. along with the fringe communal groups are persecuting Christians, destroying their Churches, and have the agenda for decimating other religions.. The liberal Indians are also moving towards this communal govt…. Which ever the religion may it be, the innocents should not be killed and persecuted and the transgressors should be prosecuted as per law.. The northern Indian states under bigot govt. absolutely have no rule of law.. Therefore the west should beware how cleverly the upper class persecute Indian Christians and minorities.. Christians are living in fear and therefore the west should give help and jobs to Christians only and pick the communal Hindus and cast them out of the west before their dirty mindset spreads there..

  2. Doing things like this is the reason Muslims were driven out of Spain before. Why would Spain allow the followers of Islam back into their country unless they want to repeat the past? Islam has not changed. It can not change and, therefore, it will not change. Only the willfully ignorant do not know that.

    when mozlums are small in number, living among others, they may behave to some degree. As they increase in numbers, swelling their community populations, they let it all out…the arrogance, the demands, and the violence.

    It won’t get better as long as mozlums inhabit the land of Spain because they are taught that they have a personal right to force their will and belief on others…by whining, lies and violence of all sorts.

    the police should react in larger numbers henceforth to ensure they are not overwhelmed and injured.
    They should look for the other offenders in the local mozlum barracks.

    Just sickening–but no surprise. Under Shari’ah law Infidels are not allowed to publicly manifest their religion.

    One cheering thing–the crowd erupts in applause when the Muslim thugs are arrested.

  9. There were periods under Moorish rule in Spain notably in the caliphate of Cordoba, when Jews and Xians worshipped freely, within the loose limits of their dhimmi status.
    No surprise. Berber Christians had fought side by side with Berber Jews against Muslim Arabs. After their defeat and conversion of some to Islam, the Berber Muslim army with I guess Jewish camp followers, conquered Spain.
    This episode in Tarragona shows how Saudi Islam is taking over the more tolerant Maghrebi
    Islam.

    • Michael, read Robert Spencer’s “History of Jihad” to see that claims that Islamic Spain was “tolerant” were anything but the case.

      Saudi Arabia is appalling–but claims that Islam is otherwise intrinsically “moderate” are entirely mistaken.

  12. In Jerusalem a bunch of Muslims attacked a school bus transporting children by throwing rocks at the bus.
    It seems that in some places Muslims show no respect and no tolerance to non Muslims. The Spanish affair shows that Spain must get more forceful in dealing with these rioters. Don`t forget that several years ago they murdered 200 or so Spaniards in a train disaster.
