Well, he is right. A person doesn’t have to advertise for the whole world what he is or does behind closed doors. This really should be the way everywhere because some of us don’t wish to know that information. And they did fight for it on the grounds that it was “private” and “in their own bedrooms.”
If one wishes to see the event, to watch , cheer and later wear a shirt that says they attended, then anyone should get to. But he is right…no need for the flag.
After all, what he wants to do at home is illegal in that nation.

You need to read my comment again. I have been studying terrorism for a great amount of time and I am not of the “belief that islam allows people freedom behind closed doors’ or anywhere else. You don’t need to tell me that the death penalty is approved by mozlums or that mozlum-run country. When homosexuals fought against the laws of the U.S., they made the claim that they should be able to do in private, in their bedrooms, anything that was between two consenting adults. This is where it is legal and they have not kept to the “privacy and only our bedrooms” bit at all. I have no sympathy with them being threatened if they break the laws of nations that have not made it hunky-dory in the bedroom…or anywhere else.

Not sure who you mean, Rufolino, but if it’s me, I’m fine with that. I have always tried to treat people the same way I’d like to be treated. Never really cared if somebody was gay. Never wanted to know. I figured that was their personal business and not mine. Just wish they would have kept it that way and had not started with the whole “pride” campaign and trying to indoctrinate little children. The gay obsession with children is creepy. If they love children they should have some of their own and leave other people’s children alone. But no, that’s something that just doesn’t work for them, now does it? So fine, they can stay away from me and I’ll do the same for them. Not going to salute their flag though or help them pervert children.

A couple of years ago, I spent nearly an hour on the phone highly recommending a gay physician assistant for a high-paying job. He got the job.

they made claims about it being in their own bedrooms, but never were honest about bringing it out and sharing it with everyone else as though it is a badge of honor. They have forced laws so they cannot be turned down for jobs, housing, etc and esp evil is the way they have forced those who are able through creation to have kids, to give them some of those kids because they have chosen a way that prevents them from procreating. And so many abuse the kids by turning them into little copes of themselves. And, it is against nature to teach kids that they have two mothers…no father…or that they have two fathers and no mother and to be made to think that is somehow *natural.* that is child abuse.
I have worked with, talked with, and even been in the same building for religious instruction with some who practice it. I have never said an unkind word to any of them and never said to them what God says about their perversion.
so, if you don’t want to read what I write, that’s okay. It doesn’t really affect me as I don’t know you from any other person I might meet on the street. And I have to say, I am honest about my feelings, esp those that are in line with my God.

I lived in Bangkok for two years. Even if you wished to stay away from it, the sex industry was just way too prominent–including the sexploitation of young teens of both sexes by tourists who knew they were dying of HIB/AIDS. Never tell me that it is “loving”, and not horribly exploitive.
I freely admit my own sins (as defined and exposed by the Word of God), but since I accept the divine forgiveness offered in Jesus the Messiah, I will not demand that these sins be celebrated and “normalized”.

A nation does have the *right* to make laws. Once, in the U.S., sodomy was a crime. It remained so until the 1970’s in Texas.
Perhaps the people who wish to fly their flags signaling their “lifestyle” should consider pushing for the law of qatar to change so they can “practice in their own private bedrooms.” Then, they can try progressing to doing things in public that they are fully aware offend the majority in this country, and will do the same in that mozlum country.
Whether a nation has the death penalty for certain crimes is up to the nation making the laws. We don’t have to agree with their laws in order to respect the laws and not violate them.
I believe that those who rape little kids should be put to death here in the States. and that law too was on the books until last century when it was outlawed in LA on appeal of a guy who raped his stepdaughter until she needed surgery. Sure, we do have a right to say what we believe about “laws.” But, if we want to travel to qatar, we better make sure we don’t break any of theirs, based on the filth or otherwise.

They are one of 2 Gulf countries – the other being Kuwait – who are backing either the Muslim Brotherhood or other islamic groups either in the greater Mid East (i.e. Morocco to Pakistan).
