Apparently in the view of some Leftist Christians, Jesus loves some of the little children, but by no means all of them. Carlow University, an ostensibly Catholic institution, recently offered their hapless students the opportunity to attend an event entitled “Rejecting White Christianity,” featuring a speaker who denounced Trump supporters as un-Christian and called on white people to “crucify their whiteness.” When challenged as to why they hosted this divisive, racist, pseudo-Christian nonsense, the university invoked the principle of free speech and free inquiry that has seldom, if ever, resulted in their inviting any dissidents from the Leftist agenda to speak on campus.
To be sure, those familiar with Carlow University could have seen this coming. The university describes itself as first and foremost “a diverse and inclusive community” and only secondarily as “rooted in the traditions of the Catholic faith.” The word “diverse” appears three times on the “Carlow Identity” page, and the university assures us that it is “a values-driven organization with a deep commitment to service, social justice, equity and inclusion.”
That deep commitment led Carlow to host Miguel De La Torre, a professor of social ethics and Latinx studies at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, and the author, coauthor, or editor of no fewer than 39 books, including such classics of Christian thought as Decolonizing Christianity: Becoming Badass Believers; Burying White Privilege: Resurrecting A Badass Christianity; Faith and Resistance in the Age of Trump; Liberating Sexuality: Justice Between the Sheets; and The Quest for the Historical Satan.
Although Donald Trump has been out of the Oval Office for over fourteen months now (it seems like fourteen years, after all the havoc the Biden administration has inflicted upon the land), he is still very much on Miguel De La Torre’s uncolonized mind. The good professor began his diatribe at Carlow by excommunicating followers of the former president: “When eight out of ten white evangelicals voted for a person who is completely against everything Christianity stands for, I don’t know what Christianity they are practicing. But I want nothing to do with that Christianity.”
De La Torre then explained the difference between what he called “white theology and ethics” and “Latinx ethics,” helpfully adding that when he excoriated all things white, he meant whiteness not in terms of race, but an “ontological concept.” Oh. De La Torre, who is to all appearances white, continued, “Those of us who are colored, some of us can also be white.” This kind of thinking is what gets you a job as a professor of social ethics and Latinx studies. But De La Torre also tossed Whitey a bone: “But the good news is there is salvation … We have to crucify our colonized minds, and for our white brothers and sisters, they need to crucify their whiteness.”

Professor in nonsense. Anyway, if he wants to create a trend he can give up his own “white privilege” and renounce his professor title and get a regular job like most other white people in America, who’s strugling to make ends meet. Then we will see what he has to say about “white privilege” in a couple of years unless he decided he must be 100% non-white by then.

Yes, but he also said “Those of us who are colored, some of us can also be white.” Of course, I can’t tell for sure what is going on in this mans mind and what he actually means by that. But I agree with you, that he appears pretty damn white 🙂

So, if I abandoned my pregnant girlfriend and hung out on the street getting involved with drugs and doing the occasional drive by I’d be acceptable? Oh, and somehow get rid of 30-40 IQ points as well, not exactly in any danger of discovering the theory of everything I’d say, but hey why don’t we give it a try.
The whites everywhere could just stop doing white stuff, you know inventing things, fixing broken things, growing food, doctoring and in general just quit keeping civilization running, how would that be?

I agree totally with the first part of what you wrote and it seems to apply to a lot of America.
However, the ability to invent, repair and keep civilization running isn’t the sole domain of Europeans.

Yes that is true, now, but the non whites didn’t originate today’s civilization they are only taking advantage of what was put in place by whites and was shared by the white race to raise the living standards of the others, not that we got any thanks for it of course.

I suppose, but then again, it was the Arabs, pre Islam, that invented the current numeral system, the use of the telescope, running water in towns as well as some medical teachings that are still used today.
The Chinese invented acupuncture, gun powder, silk cloth, and my favourite, pasta.
So yeah, I guess the non whites haven’t contributed much.

Ha ha, the numerical notation we use today originated in India and the Greeks were doing advanced mathematics and geometry almost a thousand years before Islam and much was lost when the great library of Alexandria was sacked. The Muslim invasions in all directions meant that the victors got to write history and appropriate stuff and claim it as their own.
If you think that version might be suspect have a look at all the advancements made by Muslims in any field since that time, basically after a brief enrichment due to stealing stuff the Muslim regions have all stagnated for more than a thousand years.
The European cultural enlightenment enabled civilization to progress, mainly because the influential mostly church run schools taught Latin so their students could become lawyers and doctors and many works were then available that had been translated from the original Greek masters.
Astronomy was the first science; it was through the efforts of astronomers showing that ancient Greek astronomers like Aristarchus (310 BC) were correct that the Earth revolved around the Sun which in turn enabled Europe to gradually loosen the grip of the Church over every facet of daily existence.

Self-hatred is a crucial component in the personality of a leftist. They also desire a chaotic environment and try to create it everywhere they can. These things are deeply rooted in their childhoods, which are usually dysfunctional. This new hatred for “whiteness” has really caught on because it not only gives racists a chance to vent their racism to try and gain power and wealth, but also it gives self-hating people like this man to wallow in his dysfunction and try and create chaos in a wider audience.

Miguel De La Torre is a bit late – Universities have been “crucifying minds” since the 1960s.
Isn’t it remarkable that most of the world’s Tech Giant creators had to make the decision to stop university study before it robbed them of their current opportunities and energy?
The “Education System” is like a mobius loop; it provides no destination, just an endless pathway. It is up to individuals to get off and finish the journey to their destinations. Students, who think the university will provide an optimum, currently unknown destination, are wasting time, energy, and money.

And does it matter that Miguel De La Torre himself is so white that he could stand in for Billy Bob Thornton, who he is a dead ringer for? Of course not–he “identifies” as a “person of color”, and that is enough.
Note that all of his books are about identity politics, and not about Christianity, despite their ostensible subject.

Regarding the state of higher education:
It’s okay to study at a US college /University as long as it is a STEM / business / finance major eventually leading to a license in the life sciences, engineering, business / finance where very good jobs are plentiful.
Generally speaking, if you study nonspecific “liberal arts” as your major you are literally throwing your money away – and you will get indoctrinated in leftist/Marxist propaganda, political correctness, etc.
And this is coming from someone who holds a bachelors degree, medical degree, a Master of Public Health degree, and is a licensed financial professional.

These fools who claim to be Christian and say such things to White people ( or anyone), make demands of people and set themselves up as judges of what is right and what is wrong, are not only **not Christian,** but are liars and will find themselves on the receiving end of a Judgement they won’t like.
Jesus would likely say to them what He said to the Pharisees about who their ‘father’ is. And He has told us all ahead of time, in Matthew 7:21, what He is going to say to them. And in Matthew 25 where all of those He says that to, are going.
