Westerners tend to dismiss the human rights abuses and crimes against humanity that some Muslims commit in the name of Islam, because they have internalized the Judeo-Christian norm that a religion must be peaceful. There are countless peaceful Muslims, but those who are not constitute a significant threat, as jihadists, violent abusers of women, and more. What makes the threat particularly concerning is the religious instruction that undergirds it. Many mainstream Islamic scholars and leaders make no secret of what they teach, but Westerners choose not to believe them. Women in Islam are commanded to cover up completely, as specified in Quran 24:31. Should she disobey this command, she opens herself to abuse (Quran 33:59). Male guardianship is also commanded (Quran 4:34), as is honor murder for reasons including “corrupting” the land (Quran 5:33).
In another case in Saudi Arabia, twin brothers killed their mother because she tried to stop them from joining the Islamic State in Syria. The murder sparked much debate about Islam. According to Reuters, the “influence of a medieval Islamic scholar revered as a forerunner of Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabi school of Sunni Islam.” Saudi Arabia is founded up Wahhabism and has never renounced it. These brothers felt justified in murdering their mother on the grounds that she was preventing them from the high calling of jihad. Two years prior to the murder, a poll indicated that 92% of Saudis believe that the Islamic State “conforms to the values of Islam and Islamic law.”
The Islamic teachings of honor and the inferiority of women influenced 18-year-old Hassan Ali, the Lahore teen who murdered his mother for talking to unknown men on the phone. His father is also from Wahhabi Saudi Arabia. In Hassan Ali’s view, his mother is not autonomous; she is accountable to him under religious male guardianship and under the Sharia “modesty” at any cost prevailed against his mother who was talking to men of whom he did not approve.
“Lahore teenager kills mother for talking to men on phone,” Samaa, March 30, 2022:
A Lahore teenager has allegedly stabbed his mother to death over talking to unknown men on mobile phone.
Eighteen-year-old Hassan Ali lived with his mother in Batapur area where he stabbed her with a knife early morning Tuesday. He then sat by her body for eight hours.
One of the residents told the media that Ali went out in the streets and started knocking neighbours’ doors saying that someone has killed his mother.
According to the police, Ali ransacked his house to portray the murder and killing over resisting a dacoity. However, the police arrested him due to conflicting statements.
Ali confessed to the crime, saying that he first stabbed his mother in the stomach, and as she tried to save herself, the knife was lifted which slit her throat. He fled the scene and disposed of the murder weapon…

This animal is pure evil and so are the head banging bastards at the barracks who taught him that murdering his own mother is a good thing.

He’s a mozlum psychopath. Psychopaths never accept responsibility for what they do that others see as wrong. mozlums have been steeped in the evil filth of their satanic book and come to believe that they have the right to murder whomever they choose…even if they must make up something as a *reason.*
His mother brought him into the world, but she didn’t teach him love; didn’t teach him moral responsibility.
Perhaps she tried, but he was too much mozlum terrorist to learn these things.
The moxlum psychopath is demonic filth, making himself a child of satan the devil.

Pakistan: Muslim teen murders mother for talking to unknown men on mobile phone
…………..
Even in Pakistan, I doubt it is possible to own a mobile phone without occasionally getting calls from unrelated males, even if they are just wrong numbers.
This was an “Honor Killing”. These are often winked at in places like Pakistan, because they are based on Islamic diktats.

A “dacoit” is a robber.

…………..
Nothing is so Islamic as throat-cutting. God, I hate Islam.

Ms. Douglass-Williams misrepresents the Quran when she says
“Women in Islam are commanded to cover up completely, as specified in Quran 24:31″
The verse cited says
“…tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears….”
A note on that verse which can be found at
https://previous.quran.com/24
explains “what normally appears” as “the face, hands, outer clothes, rings, kohl, and henna”
Ms. Douglass-Williams’ statement makes it sound as if the Quran required women to cover their faces in public, a rule insisted on by only some Muslim communities – and those , I think, a distinct minority.

Firstly, most normal people would consider being tasked with covering everything save the face and hands pretty restrictive.
But note that the Qur’anic verse *does not* say that women can expose their face and hands–it is much vaguer than that. Certainly, many Muslims belive that it also involves covering the face and hands as well. and are willing to murder to enforce this.
Then, even the note in question says “part of the face”, not the entire face. Not sure why you want to whitewash Islam here.
