New York state: Muslim pulled over for speeding, is discovered to have 58 illegal guns

There is no word yet, and may never be, about what exactly Badri Ahmed-Mohamed was up to. Jihad? The possibility cannot be discounted, although investigating authorities will certainly ignore it.

“58 Illegal Guns Seized in Mt. Morris in Traffic Stop,” Genesee Sun, April 3, 2022 (thanks to K.):

A Mt. Morris policeman…uncovered a stash of guns in a car he pulled over for speeding on Chapel St., Mt. Morris, on Sunday night, April 3.

The officer was on patrol when the car sped by him, so he pulled it over. The officer noticed the driver seemed very nervous….While securing the car, he found 58 illegal guns along with multiple high capacity pistol magazines, all worth $377,090 street value in a duffel bag in the trunk of the car. The New York State Police, Livingston County Sheriff, and the FBI are now all involved.

The driver of the car, Badri Ahmed-Mohamed, 36, from Ottawa. [sic] Canada, was arrested and was taken to the Livingston County jail….

According to officials, it’s suspected that the firearms were being trafficked across the country to an  unknown destination….

    “The officer noticed the driver seemed very nervous…” This was “probable cause” so he didn’t need a warrant to have a look. The mozlum may have even given a verbal ‘hint’ and that would have added to the officer’s legal experience so he could look further than the seats.

    Perhaps this officer has had some ‘experience” with mozlums and “knowledge” of islam.

    • I was a peace officer for 17+ years. While a contact was often ‘nervous’, it wasn’t sufficient to rise to the level of probable cause to justify a ‘no warrant’ search of the vehicle. It did however cause me to be curious and ask questions that may result in my having probable cause to search. Of course, if the driver gave permission to search then there was no need to develop probable cause to suspect a crime was committed or was about to be committed.

      • As I wrote, perhaps added to the nervousness, the guy said something that was a ‘hint’ to the officer that he needed to look further. In this short article, they couldn’t have put every detail of the incident.

        did he make him get out of the car? Was it an suv with visible ‘trunk’ stuff? and, of course, he might have told the officer to go ahead if he asked to have a look.

        courts have come down on both sides in cases in the past. Like they have in terry stops.

  3. Over a 4th of July a couple of years back, I saw about 1/2 dozen sons of allah purchasing cart loads of fireworks. Cant imagine where those ended up. Other than
    a mosque being turned into pressure cooker bombs.

    • I saw that on a news video too. No one ever reported, that I ever saw, why and what they were doing with so much firepowr.

        believe their purchases were a response to American patriotism.

      • It wasn’t on a mainstream news source that I saw, but it may not have been the same guys doing the deed. It could have been others.

  4. If this wanker hadn’t been speeding then those illegal guns would be on the streets increasing the crime rate just as the leftist want.
    The higher the crime rate, the more and more the “laws” and enforcement increase.

I asked him if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, which he answered with ‘yes.’ I had the gentleman exit the vehicle. He gave me consent to search the vehicle, and then that’s when I found the weapons in the trunk of the vehicle.”

        I suspect that the driver’s lawyer will claim that he did not know he could refuse a search, or some other bs.
        I wonder where those guns came from, and where they were going? Somebody is REALLY disappointed.

  9. Good thing he was pulled over in the US and not in Canada. Here we would not be told his name and we would be told to not jump to any conclusions, if it was reported at all. Keep him.

    • Glad he was caught here too, E T. The US is *hardly* perfect in prosecuting these cases, but from everything I have heard Canada is often sadly even worse.

  10. Whats the big deal anything that would have happened with those guns would have been the GUNS FAULT, not the users. I’am sure he was going to sell them to legitimate legal owners for hunting and self defense. He’s a business man, just trying to make a buck, RIGHT?

    • Later this month, April 12, 2022, University of British Columbia is having a panel of “experts” set to debate limiting personal freedoms for the good of the earth’s climate. “They will be exploring if limiting freedoms is required to achieve climate stability”.

      The main question will be “Should individual choice be restricted to preserve the climate”?

  12. “Nervous” and refusing to allow a search can be reason enough to send for a search warrant.
    Years ago I was stopped and the cop asked permission to search. I told him that he could search, but only if he put everything back where he found it. He told me to have a nice day and left.

    • with that number of guns in the trunk, the car may have been riding way too low. when vehicles are crossing the border from mexico, the officers are looking for ones that seem to be riding too low for the amount of load visible to them. this too, could have been a factor in the officer searching the trunk.

      the photo is not of one who looks especially intelligent and perhaps he didn’t realize that he could say no, or perhaps he wanted to be searched and could lie and say he did not give the officer permission.
      I hope more of this comes out and is reported here.

      • Without knowing the kind of vehicle or the type of weapons, how much ammunition, etc, it’s anybody’s guess why the cop was suspicious. One of my cousins was an OK Highway Patrol and he claimed he could smell when somebody was hiding something.

        • The eyes say a lot if he one observing is on the lookout…as officers are trained to be.
          Some officers are better at their job than others…like any profession…and it’s a good thing this guy was alert to the possibilities and found the weapons.

          That many…must have cost him a small bundle. I priced handguns not long ago, and the least expensive was nearly $300. Which terror sub-group supplied the funds?

          Many of us here in the UK we find it quite disturbing that you can just walk into a shop and buy a gun. Can anyone buy one?
          I have never in my life even seen a pistol or one of those hand guns you have, let alone handled one.
          Some farmers here do have shotguns, so I have seen a few of them.

          there are laws. There are waiting periods…of varying lengths depending on the State where one is buying…and background checks. Convicted criminals are not supposed to own guns, nor are those with certain mental illnesses.

          These laws are followed by the law-abiding person. the criminals and thugs can buy guns on the streets if they can locate another criminal or thug who has the information on who has one to sell

          Some lawfully owned guns are stolen and used in crimes. some laws about buying are very strict, and of course, some people want to outlaw them altogether. If that happened…unconstitutional of course…only the bad guys would have them.

          My father and uncle had guns. they had both been in the military and insisted that I learn to shoot them. A hand gun, a rifle, a single barrel and double barrel shotgun.
          My family were sharecroppers and my father had to keep birds from the fields, and also, he hunted small game to supplement our food supply.

          Guns are useful in the hands of those who respect life and are willing to obey the law. But guns in the hands of terrorists like this mozlum and in the hands of other criminals is naturally not a good thing. However, laws against a criminal buying or owning won’t stop them. They just have to be caught and prosecuted.

          Many times, a lawful gun owner has saved lives when the need arose and the police were not close enough to stop the criminal.

          But, I guess it’s all how one grows up in what society and the laws that govern.

          Guns are dangerous weapons, esp in the hands of those with evil intent and those who don’t know how to use them properly.

          But, it’s the intent…that’s why mozlums use the scarves of their daughters and wives to strangle; mozlums use knives, cars, sticks, fire, forks, rocks, bottles, and whatever they have at hand to murder others.

          Guns, in the society today, are a necessary danger. and it’s not the fault of the weapon, but it’s the evil mindset and evil intentions of those who follow the ideas that they can murder the rest of us without serious consequences.

          If the bad guys didn’t carry weapons, guns wouldn’t be so necessary in U.S. society, either. But the Framers knew what a defenseless public faced and wanted it to be different here.

          Many here just recently have said that if we didn’t have guns in such quantity in the hands of the law-abiding, the government would have already carried out more of their evil agenda, but the guns are a protection for the citizen who wishes to be afforded the guarantees we were given back in the 1700’s,,,of life, liberty, and pursuing happiness.

          Life is sacred and precious. worth protecting if we can.

        It’s always been very difficult to get hold of a gun legally in this country, when I was younger even the police weren’t allowed them, even today they don’t carry them like they do in the states. They are only issued to certain police if they are going after someone that’s armed or something like that.
        My cousin who was a farmer was able to get a licence for a shotgun because of his job, but I believe it’s more difficult these days. I don’t know of anyone that’s had a hand gun over here.
        Many of you people over there have been brought up with guns and wouldn’t be with out one, but I don’t think I’d feel safe in a country like that. I’m not saying we don’t have hand guns here because we do, but they are all illegal and they are in the hands of criminals.

          The price of liberty is constant vigilance. It is all to easy to say, ‘Trust the government. They have our interests and safety at heart.’
          That is not so. Currently in the United States, the current government has opened up our southern border to an invasion of God knows who. And, hidden in the invasion is are people who want to see the United States destroyed.
          Great Britain is facing the same kind of invasion and the government is incapable of doing anything about it. Do you really feel safer because the government has disarmed you?

          I see exactly were your both coming from about carrying a gun and having the right to defend yourself, but the more people that have guns the more likely they are to be used. A little simple argument could turn into a gunfight, and I wouldn’t want to live in an environment like that.
          Having said that though, I do believe exceptions should be made in certain cases. Tommy Robinson for example has had his family and himself threatened by jihadi’s on numerous occasions, I believe someone like that should be given the right to carry a gun, but in the UK that will never happen.

          Strangely enough, the exact opposite of your premise proves to be true. In the states where Constitutional carry has been enacted, the rate of gun violence has flatlined or gone down. In those states where carrying or owning guns is restricted, gun violence continues to climb.

          When Florida was the first to consider licensed concealed weapons carry back in 1987, the naysayers all predicted a ‘wild’ west’ scenario and there would be gunfights in the streets daily and all of Florida would be a blood bath. It never happened, and it never happened when other states followed suit.

          Thank you both for your replies, and even though I’m not entirely convinced I have taken on board what you both have to say.
          The difference between us is this, you were brought up in a country with a gun culture, I wasn’t. Had I of been brought up in the USA I may well be of the same opinion as yourselves, but I was brought up in the UK.

    • Sorry I didn’t put that word; I thought it would be understood to include terrorists. and if more people could legally own a gun, there would be fewer innocent victims.

        • More and more Americans are buying guns for protect against the suspicious ones being invited in by biden and his henchmen…mozlum and otherwise.

        • Well, I started carrying on a continuous basis back in the late 80s when I walked my kids up into the Rocky Mountain National Forest, a mile from my house. We had mountain lions and bear in the area.

        • there are Florida cougars and bears where I grew up too. Never carried a gun, but there are times when I would like to have had one, just in case.

          A police detective told me once, ‘Get a **baseball bat**” but he didn’t mean it. That was when I went to pricing guns.

        • When I was living in Colorado Springs we were having pets taken out of back yards. I wanted something to keep the cats from taking a kid. I’m still carrying, but the reason is a little different.

        • they sure do. When i began reading this site, there were a lot of things to read, but nothing like now. each story could have hundreds of comments back then. Now, too many mozlums attacking and too many foolish people looking the other way.

        • Grimly true, Somehistory–a lot of search engines block any reference to Jihad Watch. As you note, comments are way down from a few years ago–although we need this information more than ever. The Jihad has not gone away…
