Islamic texts which are the foundation of Islamic jurisprudence assume the inferiority of women, mandating their full covering (Quran 24:31, 33:59), wife-beating (Quran 4:34, 38:44), child marriage (Quran 65:4, Sahih Muslim 3309), sex slavery (Quran 4:24, 23:1-6, 33:50, 70:30), female genital mutilation (cf. Reliance of the Traveller e4.3), lesser value for a woman’s testimony in court (Quran 2:282), and the list goes on.
“Moderate” Malaysia decided to be true to the Sharia by giving a jail sentence at the Kuala Lumpur Shariah High Court to MP Maria Chin Abdullah. She “remarked that Muslim women in Malaysia are still being discriminated against under the shariah judicial system.” For expressing the truth, she was sentenced “to one week in jail for contempt of court,” since she was charged with having “insulted the Islamic judicial system.” And she did, because anyone who tells the truth about the abuses of the Islamic judicial system is deemed “insulting” and worthy of a range of punishments.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 — The Kuala Lumpur Shariah High Court today sentenced Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah to one week in jail for contempt of court over her statement that had reportedly “insulted” the Islamic judicial system.
Free Malaysia Today reported that the decision was over Maria’s statement on September 5, 2019, in which she remarked that Muslim women in Malaysia are still being discriminated against under the shariah judicial system here.
National news agency Bernama reported that Syarie judge Mohamed Fouzi Mokhtar saying that the article published by Maria Chin on September 5, 2019 as a respondent to a case initiated by prominent businessman Datuk SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin and the latter’s ex-wife Emilia Hanafi had belittled, demeaned and insulted the Shariah Court.
“The title used by the respondent in the article itself has insulted the court and given a wrong impression of the Shariah Court institution to the public. Her article also contained factual errors and irrelevant points.
“The court hereby rules that the respondent has committed contempt of court through her article. The court also rejects the show-cause notice submitted by Maria Chin. Therefore, the court sentences the respondent to seven days in jail beginning today,” Fouzi was quoted saying in his judgment.
But Bernama also reported that the Syarie judge granted a stay of execution pending an appeal to be filed at the Shariah Court of Appeal.
Maria was reported to be absent from court during the judgment as she has been hospitalised…..

The Kuala Lumpur Shariah High Court’s prosecution of MP Maria Chin Abdullah demonstrates, again, that Islam is less tolerant than communism and an even worse system of governance. There is no other system which declares half of its members are inferior at birth and all nonmembers are so inferior that their life may be extinguished for non-compliance.

Knowing how vicious Islam is, it is a wonder this truth telling woman didn’t get sentenced to a flogging. What a load of evil and very misogynistic garbage islam is. I hope this woman can stay safe from harm. And of course, what she says is true. islam treats women and girls like crap. They are supposed to be worth half what a man is, so obviously islam, which is 7th century Arab garbage still hanging around in the modern world, treats women badly. I was down at a local medical clinic a few days ago in the area I live in and there in the waiting room was a young woman, totally covered up, you could only see the eyes and a tiny bit of her face. She did look to be around 18 years old from what you could see of her face, and there beside her, I guess her husband, was an 50 year old plus Muslim man with beard and the little cap they wear. Great life she is going to have I thought. Islam is so unbelievably backward in so many ways.

This type of garbage is coming soon to a country near you. When the truth is no longer a defense, when the first amendment is rendered useless by ideologue judges, we will start to see these types of cases in our own countries. In fact, it is already happening.
Alex Jones is being denied his Constitutional rights RIGHT NOW! He is being tried by a kangaroo court that insists that he is not allowed to use the first amendment as a defense. In fact, he is not being allowed to defend himself at all.
We watched as Mr. Spencer and others were barred from entering the UK and we said “it will never happen here.” Time to wake up, you’re next.

I’d love to see what they claim are “factual errors” in her report. Most likely just parts of sharia they don’t want you to know about.

This is like the scam phone callers who constantly ring me from India, pretending to be my phone company & telling me I need to give them money or they will cut off my internet. Last time they rang I said “what do you want scammer?”. The guy got offended & told me to watch my manners before hanging up! Just like the sharia court, don’t mention the truth, some people don’t want to hear it.

Yes–I called one of these scammers a scammer and he threatened me with my husband, screaming that my husband would not allow me to talk like that. I told him my husband wasn’t a barbarian as he probably expected and that in addition he hated scammers as much as I did, and he hung up on me.

I use a different tactic with the scammers from India.
I pretend that I am listening to their instructions and go on to pretend that I doing everything that they ask – and then thank them for their service.
It drives them absolutely crazy – their heads explode.
