It is unbelievable that this is still possible in the middle of Europe in 2022: At a demonstration by Palestinians in Berlin, a reporter was insulted by the jeering crowd as a “dirty Jew” and then kicked. Only “Bild” reports in detail and also provides the video evidence.
The video shows shocking images: Raging young people – apparently of Arabic descent – loudly insult a reporter from the “Bild” newspaper, who reported on the spot. The pro-Palestine demonstrators yell “dirty Jew” and shout “Jews out.” 600 people had come to this march through the Kreuzberg district of Berlin.
The police intervene because the “Bild” employee is also kicked, the officers take him to safety. But the hate choruses go on – the German executive allows it all.
Even hours later, the reporting in Germany on this disgusting case of anti-Semitism is sparse: the “Bild” newspaper reports at least on its web portal with a video contribution, but the so-called quality media apparently do not want to take up this massive problem in Germany. The “Zeit,” the “Spiegel” and the “Süddeutsche” have other headlines – FDP party congress and the falling corona incidence, of course also the French election.
As an Austrian, you know exactly what would happen in the German media if this anti-Semitism scandal had not been in Berlin but in Vienna.

That’s extraordinary for the media to ignore such a violent occurrence. I would have thought that such an incident would be front and centre in all the news, whether TV or newspapers. Definitely smacks of a cover-up. More pathetic caving in to the Muslim mob by the spineless media.

Thanks, Wellington. What I see there would definitely be something that the TV news would love to show. Plenty of action, even though it is revolting action such as marauding mobs of Muslims often seem to indulge in. Not to show it has to be a cover-up. It is disgraceful that such atrocious behaviour is being covered up. Along with all the other crap islam brings to any society, rabid anti-Jewish attitudes and violence against Jews is a major blight that islam always brings with it.

Are these people who are flying the Palestinian flag Germans or Palestinians? If they are Germans they should concern themselves with making Germany a better place for Germans to live. If they are Palestinians they are abusing their privileges as guests of Germany and should either shut up or get out of Germany. Whoever they are they are a damned arrogant bunch of people with vile manners who, once again, I must say I would not want as my neighbors.

Frankly, I expect such nonsense from Germany, whether from Nazis or spiritual Nazis, i.e., Muslims, because, as Sir Winston Churchill observed, the damn trouble with the Germans is that they are either at your throat or at your feet.
Two countries above all in Europe never learn—Germany and Russia. But many other European nations are giving these two profoundly deficient polities in the “zeitgeist area” a plentiful amount of recent zeitgeist nonsense of their own—like France, the UK, Sweden, et al. Ditto for the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The West continues to descend, primarily because of Leftism and inviting those adhering to the barbaric and intolerant religion known as Islam into the West in huge numbers. Ah yes, the suicide of the West proceeds, replete with educating six-year olds about gender identity, never mind Islamic doctrine requiring homosexuals to be thrown to their death from “high places”—a real “disconnect” between Leftism and Islam but such is the time we live in.
Much of the world is mad, brutal or dysfunctional. Western Civilization at its best (and yes, the West has demonstrated many faults but is it really necessary to state this any longer in order to “alleviate” all those consumed with Western faults but who ignore the faults of other civilizations and societies?) has tried to correct these errors more than any other civilization in history. Sadly, this is lost on so many, including many in the West.
A mad and stupid world we live in. No doubt. Time for a delicious corned beef dinner cooked by my lovely wife—hey, might as well enjoy what we can while still able. I believe I will accompany this dinner with a fine porter or stout.

Sorry, but I dislike hearing expatiation on culinary preferences & how explicitly delightful people think they are.
There is so much suffering in this world over food, or the absence of it. And I don’t just mean delightful delicacies (which I appreciate too).
I’ve been thinking very much about those magnificent people surviving in Mariupol on scraps of bread and little water. “Celebrity chefs” aren’t culinary heroes, these people are.

What? One shouldn’t do this until no more suffering on this matter exists? If you do, then I assure you you will wait forever to do so since much of mankind never learns and this ignorance impacts upon virtually every aspect of life—including eating and drinking.

this reminds me of when old sitcoms had parents tell their kids they had to eat all of the food on their plates because there were hungry children in other places.
I recall one such, it may have been “beaver” or “Opie” who said the hungry kid could have theirs. Beaver Cleaver didn’t like brussels sprouts and was refusing to eat, so it may have been him.
Leaving food on the plate uneaten didn’t affect kids in other places and neither does cleaning the place.

There is always some suffering in the world, even at the best of times–are you saying that you can never have any joy in your life?
I try to balance things–right now, I have made donations to charities feeding Ukrainian refugees, but I am also going to enjoy life at the same time, with the hope that Ukrainians will be able to do the same very soon.
In fact, I recently made Ukrainian mushroom sweet and sour Solyanka–a type of soup, and plan on making Holubtsi–Ukrainian Cabbage Rolls–later in the week.

Just appalling. You’d think that the desire to sell newspapers or draw eyeballs would be enough to get coverage–but not anymore.
And while it is good that police rescued the Jewish Bild reporter, they did *nothing* to arrest the Muslim thugs who attacked him in the first place–they didn’t even disperse the crowd. This is all too common these days.

If a bunch of German, or other European, skinheads acted in this manner you can be sure the lot of them would be beaten down and arrested and so my question is one I cannot find an answer too…
WHY, Varum in German, is the German Media ignoring such actions by muslims as any educated person knows that islamism and Nazism are close allies since way back when…
So all I can think of is that the current German Government and indeed many German people regret losing WW2 as they really do despise the Jewish Germans after all, while feeling ashamed of what their Grandfathers did over 70 years ago.
Its like a contradiction in terms.
I have lost all the friends I had in Bavaria as I mentioned the strong connection with Hitler and islam, and yet they seem to support young muslim men coming into Germany and at the same time feel shame about the past of Germany.. I am confused…

German media ignores the attack. So nothing new there then. Over the last 15 years this has always been the standard media response. Do nothing, Hear nothing, say nothing. The media always ignore the attacks perpetuated by the religion of peace no matter what country it is. Whether this happened in Germany, the US, England, France, Sweden or Germany it would make no difference. Sadly, such cowardice sends exactly the wrong message and does nothing to curb Islamist extremism, in fact it emboldens it.
