France: Graffiti praising Hitler and gas chambers found at university that is stronghold of ‘Islamist movement’

An open internal investigation
The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France (CRIF) immediately reported and denounced these behaviors to the management of the university. “For more than twenty years, the University of Nanterre has been the epicenter of anti-Zionist discourse, indigenous discourse, in the academic world. It is here basically that the far left, but also Islamist movements, first gained a foothold in the university and they reign there today in an extremely strong way,” denounces Yonathan Arfi, member of the executive office of CRIF, according to Cnews.

For its part, the University of Nanterre published a press release on social networks condemning the acts and specifying that a cleaning was in progress to remove the anti-Semitic tags. An internal investigation has also been opened. “Do not hesitate to report any such writing to us,” she added. Anti-Semitic tags had already been discovered on the premises of the faculty last fall. A year earlier, the facade of Science-Po Paris had also been tagged with an inscription “Death to Israel.”
